- I was actually gonna try and find more commercials, and variants of the same ones, or heck even new ones no one's found yet... but that was just more tricky than finding all those Jurassic Park ones. Plus, I wanted to make another toy commercial compilation video, so yeah.
So, yeah this should be a hint that I'm going to be making a toy movie about either one, but the Predator movie will end up being first in a line of other films I'll be working on. I recently bought the Renegade Predator from eBay, and will do a review of it tomorrow, when it arrives. For the time being, enjoy these toy commercials of these classic movie toys from Kenner!
And, remember this. There are variants of the same commercial in this video, so it should be included, no matter if they look the same.

I love the idea that the Xenomorph says "heh heh...another triumph for ALIEN!!"

Well...The original ending for Alien was that the Alien would mimic Ripley's voice before killing her. Then it would say Ripley's last line of dialogue, hoping help would arrive and then the Alien would be there waiting. I'm so glad this wasn't the ending they went with.
I wish they still made kids toys based on R-rated movies.
Lanard are producing Alien and Predator figures.

These commercials changed my life, this is the first time I've seen them since I was 5 years old, watching it on an old tv that half worked with an antenna made of aluminum foil.
@Beckham Maximus I'll have to check that out, thank you. I still have all my comics, every movie since predator and alien's, they have been disappointing. AVP had so much potential.

We sure had the best toys, an they certainly don't make them like they used to
I still have most of mine. Recently found a few of the rarer kenner ones for cheap at some local comic book shops. My favorite were the aliens based on animals... the night cougar, panther, wild boar, killer crab, arachnid.... always wanted the hive set
I really liked these toys. I had a few of em. Two of the queens, the power loader, the queen hive, Ajax (the exo suit guy), Drake, the bull alien, and the gorilla alien. I got a bunch of them second hand when I was a kid (our family didn't have a ton of money) so many of the parts were missing. Me playing with action figures was basically a big mashup between Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters, TMNT, and Aliens. Good times. I loved those action figures. They were all major players on the stage set by my imagination.
Now that Mega Construx made sets for TMNT,Aliens, and Predator.
Could you imagine what a Mega Construx line be for both Ghostbusters and Jurrasic Park be? I think it would be awesome imo :)

One of my favorite childhood memories ❤. I remember walking into Target with my mother and seeing these on the shelves. Had a lot of fun playing with these.

2:34 my dad made the various moulds and sample parts to send to Mattel and Hasbro etc when he worked at ned systems years ago!! Also Jurassic park stuff but they only told them it was for a dinosaur movie that was gonna be made to keep it quiet>:) cool asf
As a kid, the AVP tv ads always obsessed me. I wondered how much should I had to wait for the AVP movie. It was frustrating, but I was there at the movie theater in 2004.
Well this was avery nostalgic moment for me,as a fan of both the alien and predator franchise.
I had Ripley, The exploding xeno, I think the gorilla xeno and the glowing predator those good old days ago. I also had the queens lair/hive but no queen and no slime just the base possibly from a yard sale from my parents.

Those Lanard toys are pretty cool to be honest. Glad we finally got an APC since Kenner didn't make one. Only thing missing now is a Dropship.
Rated R movies are made for adults but commercials with toys are made for children.
I watched these commercials with my mouth open as a child. These toys were expensive in my country, so I never owned one. :)

I had this toy, and a Big Trak that I loved so much. Also had one of those Shogun Warrior Robot toys that would Shoot off their Fist. That and legos were the best!
For months I kept asking the people at Blockbuster for the Aliens Vs Predator movie that didn't exist when this line of toys came out.
I loved the Alien toys. Movie was scary as hell to kids, why did they ever market these towards us? 🤣 Also, why wasn’t there ever a movie with the variants? I played with the flying alien queen and Bull, why the hell didn’t they ever turn into bad guys in the movies????
I remember the first commercial… kids never played this way back then.

I had Ripley, Apone, Queen Alien, Flying Queen Alien, King Alien, Rhino Alien, Snake Alien, Cracked Tusk and Scavege.
I had almost all of these except Vasquez, Hudson and the electronic figures. Leave it to the 90s to make kids toys based on R rated movies. I am not so sure the Atax alien disguise would be able to fool the "evil" aliens lol. These figures were awesome, but that '79 18 inch xenomorph is where it's at.
A time where horror/action movies were made for adults but also marketed towards children.

I have their toys ever since when I was a kid in the nineties But not all of them And I still kept them cause I'm mine I have gotten new versions too

That's funny, I don't remember there being toys for the sequels. I remember the doll that came out for the first movie, I vividly remember that ad, though I probably only saw it a few times. I remember wanting that doll for Xmas that year, but for whatever reason, it didn't happen. I don't know if my parents said "You are NOT getting that" or if we just couldn't find it anywhere near us (and I imagine my parents didn't want to drive out to Rolla or Springfield or wherever it was that the nearest Sears or JC Penney was). I saw a thing on TV about 20 or so years ago, where it was mentioned almost nobody carried it because, well, it was merchandise connected to an R rated horror movie that most kids were NOT going to be able to see, so the demand wasn't there.

I had all of those except the Queen Hive play set. I had no idea that thing even existed. I only had the original queen which was not scene accurate at all.
So who collected the Kenner versions as a kid and is now collecting the Neca ones as adults? If so which ones have you got?
Josh I had collected almost all the alien Kenner toys and a few predator. Now I collect the 1/3 scale statues from sideshow Collectibles and prime 1

I had the 1979 alien 2 times my grandpa found at a thrift store but was opeaned than my unlcale found one not opeaned and gave to me for birth day child hood friend opeaned it and ended up breaking it that was in the mid 90es

You bought the Renegade Predator, nice! I have a Funko/Reaction Alien Xenomorph based on some toy prototypes from Kenner for the first movie, fits in right with my Star Wars figures. I was think of making an Alien toy movie since 2017 and has only ever gotten to the script stage although I released a teaser trailer for an Alien vs. Predator toy movie last year
That's cool! I actually own a Reaction Xenomorph for quite some time now. Speaking of which, Super7/Reaction had release new figures for Aliens recently.
