This just solved a huge riddle of my childhood. I loved the alien series as a kid and somehow convinced my parents to hunt these insanely obscure toys down and I always wondered what movies these other aliens were from. My parents had a running joke about how intensely violent/adult the stuff I was into and now I know why. 😂😂😂

Isn't it funny how toy company executives considered a film about a space colony being overrun by parasitic alien monsters to be more "accessible" than a film about a space prison being overrun by a single parasitic alien monster?
There's no accounting for taste, after all there are some really weird action figure lines out there.
There's no rythm or reason to Toys Execs decisions. just look at some of the weird shit Toy Biz and Kenner released in their Marvell and DC lines.
I gave up trying to figure out their logic, or lack of, a long time ago. You only have to look at their choices of figures released against those that were cancelled to realise their lack of any...
I've got most of these and plan on using them as Warhammer 40k Tyranid proxies. The new NECA "reissues" look fantastic and are quite abundant. Pity AVP The Hunt Begins went OOP as i was looking foward to using them as 40k proxies also.

Maybe one day my Kids will get into Aliens with these as a stepping stone.
That's a great idea. I used to run Warhammer40K and Warhammer tournaments in my shop and I had an awesome custom Nid army. Using these Alien figures would be perfect for that. I've noticed Blood Bowl and Warhammer is also available here in China so I'm thinking of starting a club in the school I'm work for it and to help promote using English.

I have almost the complete collection (2 repaints missing). Fun Fact, the series 3 marines were also sold in Mexico by huge departament stores called "Liverpool" and at the smuggling market.

For R Rated Movies, Kenner's Aliens toy line from 1992-1995 lasted quite some time and even had its own crossover which is very impressive for an R Rated Movie toy line for kids.

@@marcelluswallace4598 I do! Even have a good number of them still in their packaging. I was buying up every Scorpion Alien I could as an "army builder" to fill out the hive. As it was probably the closest to the standard looking Xenomorph that, that line had. Aside from the drone from the AvP 2 Pack.
I remember that the queen, scorpion alien, Hicks and Bishop where the first figures I got. My mom took me to Target to get me some toys and I picked these figures. Really awesome toys if a bit scary for a little kid! But I guess it encouraged my budding love of horror and Sci-Fi!
I never saw any of these in the UK but would loved to have had some :)
You forgot to mention the card board style playset only available for the aliens basically a card background I dont know what it's called but I remember seeing a video that features it

The "scorpion" alien is taken from Aliens & is the xenomorph that attacks with it's tall primarily, like a scorpion stinger.
That's what I recall from back then at least haha

I had most of these figures and still have them to this day. No Hicks. Never wanted to pay secondary market value of twenty dollars at the time. Nahhhhh!
I would love to have some of these and the modern NECA figures, but I cannot get them out here in Thailand
Those screen caps were never actually from a proposed animated series but were created for commercials for the toy line. The footage ended up not being used due to new cameras that allowed the director of the commercials to shoot the toys up close and clearly.

Your correct about the Xenomorphs not being fooled by Atax’s disguise. The Xenomorphs recognize by sent, not by looks, they are like ants.

Recently started collecting the Kenner line so I’ve watched this a couple times. I personally love the 90s style and Apone is my favourite! It’s funny when you said you’re surprised they aren’t more 90s with hi top sneakers but that would be more accurate to the film, Ripley has the craziest hi tops! Anyways great video, really enjoy it

@@rayfincham1595 unfortunately we didn't get a lot of these toys in the UK, at least not where I lived. But as a kid I was more into the action man gear in the 70s.

I know this is 2 years old but, Did you know about the "Cloaked Predator" that was clear you had to send away in the mail for? There was a commerical back in the mid 90s for it and you had to get the address and a bunch of proofs of purchases for other figures in the line and they sent you a predator that is a cast copy of the 2-pack Alien/Predator but the plastic is 100% clear and the weapons included for it were silver. I have one! You're welcome to ask me about it!

We got the series 3 humans Australia. I had Hudson and O'Mally.
These were so cool considering kids weren't supposed to see the movie.
I never knew there was a planned cartoon for Aliens. Just thought the toys were toys sake. I have several of the KB figures.
Something of note was the prototype full sized dropship that was shown off at ethier toy fair 1993 or 1994 that had a cockpit that turned into an escape craft.
Was it ever released? Or another golden grail like the Mattel Battleship Galatica that never mind it past the prototype stage?

@@TheCakesCup26 Which means someone, somewhere has at least one of these but if there's one there are probably a few more. Very rarely would they only make one prototype to show off.
@@ActionFigureResource I’ve been checking up and down all over the internet and all I can find outside of that video was a black and white picture of it from a website called “The super toy archive”. Searching Kenner aliens dropship play set mostly just brings up the mini dropship and the super toy archive image. So there is probably atleast 2, maybe someone should get in contact with a former Kenner employee who worked on the aliens line.
*Integer 1 looks a bit like the Engineers, he's the only one I have from the Hive Wars line. I think he's pretty interesting but there's not much information I can find about him apart from this video.*
I am planning to do deep dive video reviews on each of the Kenner figures, their variants and values in the coming months.

No, unfortunately I don't. I saw one of the Kenner 1979 18" Alien figures on eBay for $900 today.

@@ActionFigureResource Yeah, i got most of the marines, Hudson and Vasquez were my favourites as a kid, but I could never find Hicks on the store peg which was a bummer. I've since acquired all of them sealed on card.
Wave 3 is fkn expensive.Vasquez is 1700 dollars and shipping to the other side of the world 1756.

I find it weird you pronounce Neca N.E.C.A. it's supposed to pronounced like (NECKA) or (KNECKA). Aside from that solid run down on these classic figures, I've been debating with myself getting any aliens figures since my shelf is already chocked full of Godzilla and Jurassic Park figures.
