Great work! Hi Thomas. Could you please tell me after 8 months of re-bedding and re-pointing, what is the reason for the cracks in the re-pointing of the roof ridge? Thank you very much.

You grind the ridge edges but not the collars?

first video where actually someone wears the harness... Good video! BTW how do wash down the roof when u removed the tiles?!

Only because it was being filmed….
Most roofers will say running a lifeline creates a bigger hazard.
After tripping over my own life line more than once, I still wear a harness but only hook onto an anchor or lifeline when i know i need to. You don’t always need to.

Well done looks good. I pressure clean the pointing, doesn't take a second once you're set up.

Surely you should completely take of all ridge tiles and rebed them properly, that's what I do in the uk

@@rokalot2436 Exactly what I was thinking. Pissing in the wind doing this. Not what we would consider a proper job in the UK.

@@anthtayler2735 UK and Aus are quite different weather wise.
Re-bedding the ridge tiles makes the job a LOT bigger and more expensive.
I would argue that if prepared and done properly this is absolutely fine if that’s what the customer wants to pay for. In Aus anyway.
Quite possibly not the case in rainy UK.
