Ramadan nobody shops at the malls. They go to hassan 2 mosque to pray during the last 10 days of ramadan. In Houbous, near the kings castle, they buy traditional clothes for their kids in preparation for the 1st day after Ramadan. Plus, the Morocco mall is not well connected with public transport. So people tend to shop in smaller malls near them.

Since it's 8pm , that's around the prayer time , that's why it's empty , I reckon Morocco Mall would be full during the day , and around 21h30 once the prayer ends , that's when the streets are filled with people, families and kids in parks . For Suhoor, we are so used to it ,so eat whatever, but for you, I advise you to avoid fish and even sweets because you'll feel thirsty during the day and yes Yogurt or Flan as the last meal would be also a great thing to eat, and fruits like Avocados are always a great .

Honestly, as a Moroccan Muslim from the country, I have been fasting during Ramadan for 3 decades, and thank God, God has guided me, and praise be to God, for years ago to one suhoor, which I have not changed in years, except for it,,
Semolina bread + a large cup of milk and coffee + eat them an hour and a half before the dawn call to prayer + drink a liter and a half bottle of cold water,,
Because cold water is stored in the human body for a longer period than regular water.
Many times I have to break the fast after the Maghrib call to prayer because even though it is time for breakfast, I feel full throughout the day, thank God.

I stumbled upon this video from last year, thanks to RUclips! Ramadan isn't just about rituals; it's about creating a unique atmosphere, almost like adopting a life philosophy for an entire month. It involves reshuffling priorities, challenging bad habits, and demonstrating immense willpower against basic needs, regardless of one's beliefs. It's great to have you back with us! Welcome, and may God bless your beautiful, humble family!

@@rblaverte7314 I don't have TikTok installed as I'm currently boycotting the app. However, I sometimes come across interesting TikTok content shared on RUclips. Creating a TikTok channel specifically for English-speaking Moroccans sounds like a good idea. Just remember that the main goal shouldn't be money; it should be about providing valuable content (Money comes afterward, for sure). Our people need educational techniques to filter out low-quality content that spreads misinformation and fear, especially targeting the youth and elderly. Moroccans need content that offers good quality information and logic. Wishing you the best of luck! It reminds me of an Amazigh proverb: 'Little by little, the camel squeezes into the pot' 😅

Eggs/beans and toast and butter /jam with tea. That gets me through the day until afternoon , when I have some fruit or a light salad only. Followed by a hot dinner at night, which meal includes some meat and vegetables .

The best thing about Suhoor for me is like breakfast in the morning on normal days.
It is coffee, milk, cheese, olive oil, eggs, and juice of your choice.❤👍

Dates+water and some dairy product for suhoor is golden, if you can find kefir that’s fantastic if not there’s a moroccan equivalent called Raïb or sample natural no sugar yogurt. Happy fasting!

In my family’s traditions sohour is a stable meal sinse i was a kid . We have tea 🍵 with home made braid soked in melted butter and honey 🍯 or home maid braid soked in sour milk 😂 i know westerners don’t know what it is sour milk but it is very beneficial and keep you hydrated ❤ plus water and some fruits if you still have space in your stomach 😂😂 welcome to Morocco 🇲🇦

I buy my khlia from, a milk shop near me which is good quality. As for marjan, I never tried any brands. I don't think all brands are created equal. Some are amazing but some are lack luster. As for dates, I prefer Green package Imarati date. They are small and dry. But they are full of flavor. The saudi ones are good too. Some Moroccan one are great but they are hard to find.
