very clever trick with the thread cutting die, I've seen some heavy duty die's come with that as a standard, but I never thought to do anything with the smaller ones!

Assuming that every nail went in perfect and he never had to pull a tack or pry anything I guess it wouldn't need a claw to remove the perfection.

I still like making my own tools. It's especially fun when it saves a lot of money. Michaelangelo Buonarroti had to wait months for a shipment of steel blanks from Switzerland, before he could fashion his own set of stonecutting chisels.

I enjoyed your idea anf video , although its not something everyone would need or like i am a retired Woodworker that in my40s suffered a traumatic brain injury that caused some permanent paralysis in my left hand anf arm although i may never become a great Woodworker or as fast as i once was with only one good hand ideas like yours being a little strange or different then many other peoples way of thinking show me that no matter what type of physical handicap comes along with some strong determination and some ingenuity You can create a solution to overcome the obstacle

Great idea. Simple to make. Many times you don’t have a free hand to hold the nail. Remember; you have to remove the nut from the bolt without touching it! Sorry, couldn’t help my self. Lol!!

You made an expensive poorly balanced framing hammer, likely would have cost less to buy a high end/priced hammer than purchase all that and combine the time invested.
The second idea is more novel, but still vastly cheaper and more versatile to put a chisel in a chunk of pipe and slot it onto one side of a c-clamp.

Maybe net time he''l build-in a better aiming / targeting system...
it's a bit hard to aim a piece of pipe...
which is the greatest value of a store=bought hammer...
the targeting system has been tried and has withstood the test of time...
