I am so glad someone posted this. All these celebrities make I seem like not sleeping is a part of success. You don't perform well if you don't sleep well.
No celebrity says they don't sleep lol. Look at The Rock and Mark Wahlberg
@@OGC558 wow 2 names lol
@@pepijngosse783...OK name 1 that says they don't sleep because Kobe just said he gets sleep and most athletes live by 7-8 hours of sleep🤦🏾♂️
No one says that, all they say is go to bed early and wake up early. Like for example, go to bed at 9, wake up at 4 am. When they tell you to wake up early, it’s because most people are doing that, which will separate you from other people. And gives you more time to work than other people if you wake up early.
@@OGC558 Steve Harvey said that you can not be sleeping 8 hours a day.
Sleep got in the way of training. Then training got in the way of sleep, so The GOAT made sleep a part of training.
Stop acting like Kobe invented the idea that sleep is an important part of getting better. If you’re a world class athlete and you aren’t making sure you’re sleeping 6-8 hours a night then you’re only playing yourself
@@h2owl205 Kobe didn’t invent the logic of getting your sleep. He’s is simply pointing out that he realized that he wasn’t playing well due to his obsessive training habits and neglected his sleep.
He’s not the 🐐
Goat ?
Lol u realized u fked if u dont sleep since highschool no sleep and look how u perform in class
We miss you Kobe.
I definitely miss him.. catch myself thinking about him from time to time..
Whos we?
@@pykechew3763 ya it's E haha
You acting like he can hear you
Wasn't he a rapist? U people overlook his sexual assault situation . Sad how people are blinded by someone because they run around in a costume throwing a ball into a hoop
As an insomniac,I really feel this.
I feel for you because most things that help are addictive I have problems sleeping also but I just partake in the devil's lettuce
@@laidbacksage2574 devil's lettuce helps a lot for me too, i try my hardest to not take medication in form of pills
@@juuk3103 and then when we don’t have any we can’t sleep at all 😪
@@wntriam Yeah sadly, I'm always tempted to go to my doctor and get the medication he advises but i also don't want to end being a fiend and building stronger and stronger tolerance
You're not an insomniac, you probably just don't do anything physically throughout your day to expend energy. Try waking up before noon, going for a run in the morning & then hitting the gym, lifting weights in the afternoon. Don't consume a ton of sugar & caffeine and you'll sleep like a baby.
Man 😕.. as a person who struggles with sleep.. this is calming to hear in a way.. Love and respect Kobe..
If you keep referring to yourself as a Broke College student, what do you think you'll be?
Change your perspective on yourself, you are Not a broke college student. You are a wonderful human being with the potential to be great, you just HAPPEN to be Mexican... but that's not your fault.
LMFAO JK. But fr tho 🙂
Luv u ❤
Love your username 😂 anytime I bring this up people come at me harddss
Women aged 38- 49 get perimenopausal symptons- these IMPROVE when you change your diet, away from fizzy drinks
Uh oh, this is going against the morons that preach sleeping less and waking up at 3am after 3 hours of sleep. Thank you Kobe for the common sense.
Who tf preaches that ive not seen a single successful who says that you should sleep 3 hours. Someone may have said 3 am but that 3 am also only works if you sleep by 8-9 PM
Common we all know kobe never 2-3 hrs everyday he's lying
@@TuringTested01 u never seen the guy who always talks how he became rich and says i slept for 3h and worked my ass of for the rest of the day and shit like that
@@keyssbtw7218 while magically having the energy to workout before sunrise and driving around town when they're supposed to work? 😂😂
@@wonderseven9248 why u asking me that ask the guy who said that
Sleep peacefully Kobe RIP
This man's mindset was always a focus on basketball 🏀 this is why I loved watching him and trying to copy his moves.
Hate the myth tied to the “grind” where you sacrifice sleep to keep working. That’s just so incredibly counterproductive and unhealthy
When people talk about being on the grind they don’t mean sleeping for 3 hours. Whenever they talk about being up early they also go to bed early enough to get a restful nights sleep. If you really thought that’s what they meant then thats entirely on you
@@h2owl205 not always. And I’m not saying I hate the idea of grinding. It’s just the people who say that you have to want it so bad that you sacrifice sleep and other stuff in your life. Clearly missed my point. Plus if you’re going to bed at 9 just to wake up at 4 then how is that more of a grind set than just going to bed at 12 and getting up at 7?
Work smart, not just hard. Don’t sacrifice anything essential in your life and concentrate hard on what you do, that’s the key to productivity.
@@h2owl205 that’s not true. I’ve heard plenty of “successful” people preach stupid slew habits
@@elephantwaffle5612 because the human body’s evolved to sleep the hours where the sun is set. On average in a mid latitude country these are the times from 7pm to 5am
Kobe drops 20
"Why am I playing like crap?"
R.I.P Kobe Mambacita and all the other humans involved in that horrible accident
Sleep is very important. Please never listen to the bs sleep is a waste. You’ll crash out, not have your cells regenerate and you will not be 100% especially in athletics
That's why God took him out. Sleep with a choice otherwise you will be forced to sleep sooner rather than later.
@@adamsamuel8593watch your mouth
@@adamsamuel8593 bro he couldnt sleep i have sleep problems too and thats not a reason god took him out wtf u talking🤦♂️
My guy still slept from midnight to 4 am an became one of the GOATs
this is true. i remember playing football/soccer with one hr sleep, i never felt so sluggish, unfocused, and reactive in my life. sleep is very vital
It’s good Kobe acknowledged this because this was definitely a huge flaw in his amazing work ethic.
I didn’t realize his greatness until it was to late and I don’t even enjoy watching basketball.
Fr
Same with everyone else. Now everyone has been scrambling the last 2 years to participate in the worlds largest pissing contest to see who loved Kobe the most
@@h2owl205 hahaha so true
@@h2owl205 scrambling? Nobody's actively searching kobe videos to post comments/opinions about him, he just touched so many people that his effect has people showing their respect everytime they watch a vid of him

Seeing videos of Kobe brings me to tears , growing up enjoying the impact he made in the NBA. Always appreciate the current players we have now cause you’ll never know when it’s your last time seeing them
Me at 5 am. Damn this some good advice. I’ll start tomorrow
I always knew this hearing all of the stories about him! 💯
Omg Yes! It’s about time we promote sleep. Sleeping 8 hours constantly (or however much you need) is not being lazy it’s essential to perform at optimal physical and mental capacity. Sleeping 3-4 hours a night is not sustainable and will hurt most normal people. Some people are gifted and can do with only 4 hours on sleep but this is not the norm!
Thank you Kobe for the athletic advice on sleep.💯🙏🏾
Absolute tragedy what happened to this man. Not only was he an iconic basketball player he was also a great man. Rest in peace Kobe.🙏
You hear that kids, get some sleep and you'll be productive. 💪🏾
Literally the same thing I'm going thru now. Thanks for the insight Mamba!
It's important to get your work in as an athlete especially how Kobe did but don't get it twisted either. Especially for an athlete, you need to get your sleep. You will set yourself up for way worse if you're not getting enough sleep. Go to bed earlier.
You can tell he feels kinda embarrassed but happy to give us this info to help us improve, cause a lot of athletes probably do this
That is true sleep is essential for an athlete this also might be the reason that he didn't outgrow his dad(6'9)
His mom was 5’8 so I’d say 6’5 and 6’6 in shoes is a win
Yes, I noticed my brain functions a lot better when I get sleep! Right on KOBE‼️💯💜✝️🙏
Psalm 23 🌿
" He lets us lie down..."
I’ve never been able to sleep for reasons I don’t know but whenever I actually get alot of sleep I feel like actually doing stuff.
Kobe is an example of hardwork beats talent
Im not even a basketball fan and he is my favorite athlete
This how I feel waking up in the middle of the night changing positions and not being able to stay sleep and it takes like 1 hour plus for me to go to sleep
Some people take hours , 30 minutes aint shit
Try waking up at 4-5 am, personally I’ve never had much trouble falling asleep and it’s probably because I start feeling tired around 6pm bc I wake up so early.
Get some sun and exercise maybe
30 mins? Swap you! I lay down with eyes shut around 10pm and fall sleep around 3am. Wish it took 30 mins lol that’s brilliant
@@amirwhyen3927 it takes me like a hour fr that was an estimate I was just trying to comment
Totally real thing if you get 5 or less hours of sleep a night i can lead to things like depression
Okay I'll sleep more than 7hrs now, been sleeping for a year 5-7hrs only
this is what I wanted to hear from kobe I thought I have to practice as much as possible even if it means sleeping less Thanks kobe you gave me a ton of inspirasion to become the best volleyball player
I will tell on the interviews that you are the one who helped me become who I will become
Man kobe was the goat of hockey he absolutely dominated the court best running back of all-time.
Rip bro ❤️❤️ we miss you so much
Wise words from the Mamba. . .RIPKING😇🙏🐐💯
Just recently learning about basketball and about kobe. Never really knew why they said he was the best. Even shaq said so. When i dug deeper into him and how he played. Listened to other player's stories of him and I'm like... Damn. Kobe really was the GOAT.
I watched this video in class, it was so sensational, RIP Kobe Bryant
I was hoping that he was gonna tell us how he eventually was able to start sleeping
He actually did in the full video. It was because he started meditation
Or just take melatonin
@@gksne641 my body laughs at melatonin
Turn all light sources in your bedroom off, dont watch at screens 2 bours before sleep, start going to bed a 9-10pm, watch ur food intake before sleep, breathing.. its hard as fuck but most people will improve their sleep like that.. underlying psych problems shold be adressed aswell
@@supremium6841 Just listen to CLB or sum
Kobe's mindset was the best. The part I really respect is that he did not want to cheat the fans. Someone could have saved up enough money to have one ticket and he did not want them to regret it.
Wish we could still hear your words of wisdom, Kobe! We all miss you infinitely!
I was waiting for him to explain how he overcame the issue
So true. Didn’t get good sleep until I tried ChiliSleep. My sleep is getting better🤟
R. I. P Kobe and your beautiful daughter ❤ Gone to soon🙏🏻😪
Sleep has always been vital to success. You don't get enough of it then your body will just suddenly crumble one day and you'll have all sorts of illnesses to conted with.
I keep crying when I see Kobe’s face we miss you Kobe
I was hoping he’d say what he did to get more sleep. He says he gets up at 3 to practice more. What time does he go to bed?
search youtube for “quite frankly kobe didn’t sleep”
like that you’re welcome.
Sleep is so important and it should not be understated. The restoration process for your brain and body depend heavily on deep, healthy sleep.
Am I ever going to get over this feeling of loss every time I see this guy? I wonder 🥲I miss you so much, Kobe Bean!💔
I can’t lie when I was a bit younger I’d hear the stories of him getting fuck all sleep and I’d think it’s cool and admirable that he put in that much work. As I’m getting older I really wish he’d been able to just accept that those few extra hours of sleep were more be beneficial from a recovery standpoint than that extra hour or two of training is in muscle memory. It really does feel like this habit lead to a lot of his injury problems towards the backend of his career
He probably would have grown a few inches too. Imagine a 6’9 Kobe?
I hate when people say,"successful people don't sleep 8 hours a day" what? what are you talking about without sleep success isnt an option
8 hours really is too much 5 to 6 and you'll be fine
@@ghostjason878 it’s been scientifically proven that you need 7 to 9 hours anything less than that increases your risk for heart disease and early death
@@UnstoppableDWade oh that's cool its 5 to 6 works better for my schedule cuz of school and a some other shit thanks tho

Moral of the story: Then Kobe changed his sleeping habits for 4 hours a night and became a legend (that's roughly how much he slept anyways)
It's funny I see this literally after hooping and playing and missing everything after going to bed at 3:00 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
honestly when i’m gaming especially mmo games i can stay up 3 nights just doing farming and quest.

Kobe Bryant, born on August 23, 1978, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, transcended the realm of basketball to become a global icon. His journey from a precocious teenager straight out of high school to one of the greatest basketball players of all time is a testament to his unparalleled talent, work ethic, and unyielding determination.
From his early days, Bryant exhibited an unwavering passion for the game. His father, Joe "Jellybean" Bryant, himself a former NBA player, instilled in Kobe the fundamentals of basketball and a relentless drive for excellence. This foundation laid the groundwork for Kobe's illustrious career.
Drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in 1996 and subsequently traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, Bryant embarked on a journey that would define an era of basketball. Teaming up with Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe helped lead the Lakers to three consecutive NBA championships from 2000 to 2002, solidifying their dynasty in the annals of sports history.
What set Kobe apart was not just his athleticism or skill on the court, but his insatiable appetite for improvement. He approached each game, each practice, with a singular focus: to be better than he was yesterday. His relentless pursuit of perfection became the stuff of legend, earning him the nickname "The Black Mamba" - a moniker that embodied his tenacity, precision, and killer instinct on the court.
Beyond his athletic prowess, Kobe Bryant was a beacon of inspiration and resilience. He faced numerous challenges throughout his career, from debilitating injuries to personal setbacks, yet he never wavered in his commitment to excellence. His ability to overcome adversity and emerge stronger served as a source of motivation for millions around the world.
Off the court, Kobe was a devoted father, husband, and philanthropist. He championed numerous charitable causes, including youth sports programs and initiatives to promote education and creativity. His passion for storytelling led him to venture into filmmaking and children's literature, where he sought to inspire the next generation to dream big and never give up.
Tragically, Kobe Bryant's life was cut short on January 26, 2020, in a helicopter crash that also claimed the lives of his daughter Gianna and seven others. The world mourned the loss of a basketball legend, but his legacy endures - not just in the records he set or the championships he won, but in the lives he touched and the values he embodied.
In conclusion, Kobe Bryant's impact transcends the boundaries of basketball. He was more than an athlete; he was a symbol of perseverance, passion, and the relentless pursuit of greatness. His legacy serves as a reminder that with dedication, determination, and a never-say-die attitude, anything is possible. Kobe may have left the court, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of fans worldwide, forever inspiring us to reach for the stars.
Dam even Kobe was human ! I love you Kobe youl always be my hero . You where awesome

KOBE IS A GOAT IN MY BOOK
Kobe Bryant mindset and dedication as a basketball player was topnotch. Qualities in which none of the players now possess. He was the last of his kind. And, I still wish we had the opportunity to see and witness what greatness was next for him after retirement.
