    What is the best virtual tour camera? Do you need to get a new one or is your 360 camera good enough for virtual tours? How do you get better photo quality from your 360 camera? We'll cover all of them in this video, plus the review of the XPhase Pro X2.

      Hi osvaldo! HQ Method is for 360 cameras, VTE 2 is for DSLRs. During the launch period, you can get both HQ Method and VTE2, buy one get one free. The cost of a DSLR with lens, panoramic head, and PTGui starts at around $1200. It is possible to get it for less if you buy used on eBay. The VTE2 class shows which gear to get, including some older, cheaper lenses that are still good. To get both classes for the price of one, get the launch bundle 360rumors.thinkific.com/bundles/launch-promo-bundle-hq-method-vte-2-0 and use the promo code vte2launch123 Please let me know if you have any questions!

Or you can shoot at 12mm, 4 shots single row on your full frame. Shooting single row will leave a small hole in your nadir. it shouldn't affect more than your tripod area. But if you want full 360 single row, with no hole at all in the nadir, then you can use the 8-15 at around 10mm or 11mm on your full frame, at 0 degree tilt, 4 shots around. I have used with my Theta V, but no more than de doble. It makes my Theta V like Z1 or maybe better. But, I think the Z1 with this software could be even better.

      Hi viviendoen360. Yes Gigapixel AI can make a photo look more detailed. But it's not the same thing as actual detail such as from XPhase or DSLR/mirrorless. For me, the time it takes to process Z1 with Gigapixel is longer than the time it takes to shoot and stitch DSLR / mirrorless.

    As far as encouring Xphase to put desiccant inside the camera, please NO!!!
    Desiccant does not last forever. Once it is saturated, it has to be regenerated. So it's a temporary band-aid for the problem. It will only work if you replace and regenerate it on a routine basis. We've already seen plenty of evidence on the Xphase Facebook group that, as expected, it doesn't fix the problem for more than a short time after first installation.
    If you don't want to open the camera, the last thing you want is for there to be another source of moisture inside the camera - and that is exactly what desiccant inside the camera will become in a month or two at most (sooner if in a humid environment) - once saturated, it'll begin regenerating (releasing moisture) every time the camera heats up - that's the last thing you want.

    • @360vroomers
      @360vroomers  3 года назад

      It is true that desiccant doesnt have unlimited absorption capability but i am assuming that the moisture in the camera is limited and the desiccant has more than enough capacity for it. Certainly it would be no worse than not having desiccant... or are you saying the xphase generates moisture like an everlasting fountain?

    • @Entropy512
      @Entropy512 3 года назад +1

      @@360vroomers The camera isn't airtight, so outside moisture will slowly get into the camera accumulate in the desiccant, and then will get released when the camera heats up (which is pretty much exactly when you don't want it released!)
      The desiccant I have for my 3D printer filament will get saturated in 1-2 weeks in winter (extremely low humidity in upstate NY), but in 1-2 days in summer (much higher humidity even with AC dehumidifying the place).
      I was going to run an experiment to try and duplicate the Xphase phenomenon (put saturated desiccant in an enclosure with a Raspberry Pi, crank the CPU when it's cold out) - but I thought xphase had stopped putting desiccant inside (but I've heard people telling me that most X2 units ARE shipping with it inside?)

      @@360vroomers Thank you for your answer. It would not be for commercial use. I want to have a 360 camera primary for photography that I can take with me on my mountaineering trips, holding up on a long selfie stick for drone like shots. The end result will be a recomposed and cut 2D photo of a part of that 360° photo. Just like a drone would be able to point its 24mm equivalent camera down to me when I walk on the mountains. I wanted the Insta360 One X2 for that but the resolution of such a photo is way too low. I want at least a 12MP for the end result.

      @@christophmuller830 i see! In that case even z1 will not be enough. With 24mm, the hfov is around 73 which is around 1/5th of 360 deg. To get 12mp resolution 4000px wide, i believe the stitched resolution needs to be around 20k. The highest resolution 360 camera right now is xphase with 16384x8192. I think for people who want good quality, I agree, DSLR is still the most efficient way to get high quality. I use a mirrorless for most of my virtual tours.

    Avoid Xphase, its so costly and the support is minimal. I bought it last year and could not go out for 3-4 months due to covid. when i tried to use the camera it would not turn on, no matter what i tried. Xphase support team wanted me to ship it back to them to Hong kong to some some non business address and declare the price to 400 or so for some reason

      @@360vroomers I did try charging it overnight but nothing happened. So either the battery is dead or there is some connection issue. I was going on a trip to Alaska and Hawaii and was really excited to finally try Xphase but alas. Costly lesson learnt

    what the f is this HQ lite. (maybe explain that) as a brief search on your channel does not make any hits and searching on Google for HQ lite keeps coming up with all sorts of nonsnse apps to control your employees and trying the phrase HQ Lite 360.. the search links is then filled with tons of crap that has no relevance to anything that should be an enhancement app... maybe explain something as basic as this when you fronting it again and again.
    if its an app, why not link to it in your info, when it is so vital for the topic and you're using it, again and again, to get better pictures, as your video catalog has no title with this HQ Lite.
    common sense..

      @@360vroomers Arhh I see.. then it makes more sense why I couldnt find any info about it. also not familia with this HQ Method, though I am becoming more familiar with some of the Topaz Ai sofware and that is pretty impressive how they can clean up your pictures.. this is a small part of my 360 X2 picture, and where I was blown away to see how it could conclude that there should be lines in that streetlight lamp sockets, as when looking at the native source you almost cant see there is any lines i.imgur.com/jaRrJvf.png
      Is the HQ Lite something like that some Ai upscalling?

      @@JAKOB1977 hi Jakob. Hq lite is a basic class for shooting 360, including techniques for hdr, fixing stitching errors, and yes software such as topaz ai.
      Hq Method is everything in hq lite but goes very in-depth into advanced stitching techniques, so you can stitch even a thick 360 camera like one r in a tight space like a car interior, with no stitching errors.
      VTE2 is for DSLRs or mirrorless.
