I didn't see the previous videos, but here's so much to unpack. It's very hard to find models for some of these cards while also sticking to character accurate Spells and Traps. The duel utilized all their modern support and full of counter plays from both sides. The coolest thing was the soul put into the story. The voice acting actually sounded like Kaiba, and Yugi beating Kaiba instead of the Pharaoh parallels DSOD's message to let the past go. It understandings the Duel Monsters narrative like how your Super Quantum video understood the difference of Cyber Darks sacrificing each other vs Super Quantums working together.
Thank you so much! It really does a lot for someone to notice nearly all of the little things I put into this. I'll add a few fun facts that may be interesting. You're right, it's very hard to find models for these monsters, some I had to just recolor to make them kind of close to what I needed. Like curse of Dragonfire, magician of chaos, Magi Magi Magician gal, and Ebon illusion magician are all recolors of a different model. And yes! I tried to stay true to the original message of the movie. An extra reference to that is Yugi discarding "Destined Rivals" rather than using it.
@@crispy_synchron you actually did it I thought yugi would never have summoned magi magi magician gal since it a ocg exclusive but then again this is fan made. I thought yugi would have summoned ebon illusion magician or ebon high magician plus there new support coming out for them.
I absolutely love this resolution. Kaiba truly did surpass the Pharaoh. He did it. But, what he never considered is the possibility that beating the pharaoh wouldn't make him the King of Games. Yugi slipped right by him unnoticed.
That's such a beautiful and poetic way to put it! I couldn't say it better myself. Yu-Gi-Oh is strangely important to me. It was my first manga ever, TCGs was how I made friends in high school, and I even have the same birthday as Yugi himself. To say it has had an impact on my life is an understatement. I wouldn't be a gamer, anime fan, manga reader, etc. in the way I am now. With Takahasi-sensei's passing I think the best way to thank him is to try to make the things he created is remembered for as long as possible. But at the end of the day I'm simply just making fan stuff of something I love. And I hope people can connect with that.
As a kid, I did watch a little episode of yugioh and I wasn’t even a fan of it until couple of years later growing up watching each of the yugioh series and it was actually epic and creative in its own way. Seeing how it shows ever since he passed away, it inspires me more of what yugioh purposes and the messages that brings me joy to my heart and I’ll never forget how much work that he has put to make me and everyone else enjoy the anime of card games such as wonderful as I seen it now.
Hahaha never underlook your opponent a mistake I learned is thinking im better than anyone. Everyone can lose a duel especially even if your holding the 3 Egyptian god cards as long as you got your friends and trust in the heart of cards!!!!! Hahahahahahha
@@crispy_synchron I met so many of my friends through Yu-Gi-Oh, and was even one of those people who's identity was defined by the deck they ran, even had a reputation for it locally. It means a lot to me, and it always will.
Kaiba being able to finally surpass the Pharaoh, but not the king of games is the perfect conclusion! It’s also thrilling to see their old decks used with modern extra deck support. The voice work is also worthy of so much praise! Kaiba’s finishing move lines could use a bit more emphasis, but his cockiness and pride is as evident as it ever was. Eric Stuart would be proud to hear. The Pharaoh’s voice is great and full of love for the original Dan Green, but could use a bit of consistency. A great example is at 12:39 you can hear the voice actor refinding the voice at the end of the sentence when he says “Kaiba” the voice is great regardless of the pitch, and I encourage the actor to continue working on it. They have great charisma for the role. This was much fun to watch.
You know, in context of the yugioh anime, its funny to think about how Pegasus decided to make an entire support set for the only three legal Blue-Eyes White Dragons, especially knowing Kaiba would never ask Pegasus for it willingly
I can almost imagine how it would happen. He’s just painting the new designs all cheerfully and whatnot, then he sighs. “With all the support I’m creating for Dark Magician players, it’s going to leave poor Kaiba-boy in the dust. I can’t have my biggest investor giving up on his favorite cards now, can I?” Then he starts brainstorming about what he can give Kaiba so he won’t throw a tantrum.
I totally can see Pegasus just printing more original blue eyes white dragons as a fuck you to kaiba for surpassing his company in the design and market for cards.
Lemme just had that the hyper beam sound FX was gold! I love the back and forth demonstrating the skill of both duelists. Adding synchro and xyz was a nice touch. And the music from MD and DL was a nice addition, not too loud but just enough where I still enjoyed hearing it. Dope work! 🔥
Wow, pretty good quality all things considered. Would love to see an alternate take on the GX Graduation duel between Jaden and Zane with their modern support if you end up doing more of these.
I wish it would've explained how Yugi got hold of an Xyz monster, like how Kaiba went to the future for Synchro monsters. Other than that, I absolutely loved it!!
Yugi did say he "picked up a few tricks" and it "comes from beyond dimensions"! Maybe we will learn what he meant in a future video! By the way, not sure if you have already seen it but the very first video on this channel is about Kaiba going to the future!
I feel like Yugi already has an explanation, as the movie this video is based off (Dark Side of Dimensions), sort of explains it as he could have been sent by [EVIL OF THE ORIGINAL MOVIE] to the XYZ dimension then somehow got back, maybe due to a dimension dragon holder, and now faces kaiba, but its just some sort of explanation in my opinion and sort of connects well with the original plot of the movie, but there could be an entirely different case, just theory crafting her

Thanks for such a wonderful moment, this may be personal but I would want to believe that the true king of game is watching over Yu-Gi-Oh and us from up there, having a smile or even laughs with some his late fans, and that's all!
I actually like this a lot. I was complaining in the beginning with Atem coming back to save Yugi, but I loved words the ending. Technically, Atem was defeated, but Yugi came back and showed us why he's the modern King of Games. I appreciated the fact that Yugi won. Thanks so much for this animation
The fact of how Kaiba is content with the Pharaoh leaving because he recognizes both Yugi and the Pharaoh as the King of Games is awesome. The Pharaoh would’ve lost as he was left behind in his time of the ancient game, even if he used the newer, modern cards of his Dark Magician and his old deck, Kaiba’s advantage with having synchros would’ve given him the edge to allow his victory, but Yugi also borrowed from the future, or more so a different dimension of the game with xyz’s. The future marches forward from the past, in the direction the latter directed the former to, not in the haze of fading memory, but in recognition of what was, is, and going to be, even what it can be, symbolized with the Pharaoh’s Age as the King of Games, to Yugi being passed down the title, to Kaiba learning synchro summoning from the future, to Yugi learning to Xyz summon from what the game is in a different 'dimension'. I’m just being a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh and how well this capsulated everything so well, with how interconenctive we've seen the shows are with certain movies, series, etc. The moment the Pharaoh returned reminded me of my first time watching the transformation the first time, goosebumps.

The difference between anime and reality is that: 1. anime characters tend to hold back, meaning they don't expend their entire hand to build a board or combo off. Probably in the later series. I just finished 5Ds. So when their opponent finds a way to cook them, they have plan B to fall on. 2. Anime characters have insane draw power to cut through their Deck faster and build their hand for the next turn. 3. Anime characters stick to their pure archetype or whatever Deck they build with about 3 staples like Monster Reborn, Mirror Force, & Raigeki. So you wouldn't see them build a board full of Omni negates and a bunch of counters. In fact, Omni negates were considered the boss monsters that they had to work to build up, which made it even more impactful on how they found a way with like 2 cards in hand 1 facedown and somehow blow up their whole board or got enough ATK to simply go for game.
@@UTgohan A lot of monsters didn't have floating effects too. Once you dealt with a monster, it was done for. No effect to add cards to hand, special summon from the deck, banish something to revive it, etc. Usually they would have a really good effect that would dominate the monsters but since we gotten spells and traps that can easily handle monsters to where you wouldn't need to battle, they had to make more immunity. Which is fine by me. Helps keep it more narrow to where you have to actually beat it to get rid of it. Instead of a cheap trick to remove it. But even boss monsters these days basically do the same thing their materials do when they leave the field by recycling cards to their hands to summon another copy or cook something else up.
@@UTgohan Usually I see the traps and spells as handling the smaller guys, karma cut their materials, floodgates trap hole all their pendulum summons, (that's actually a toxic move I pulled in Duel Links 😆), but simple moves to keep them from trying to summon their main monsters they use for their board.

Also with Kaiba tampering with the dimensions together with his "bleeding edge" state of the art technology known as Duel Links, duelists from other dimensions started appearing all over the place and with the appearance of Paradox, it has become problematic to turn things back to normal as it is.

This got recommended to me on the home page and im glad it happened, what a great duel and animation!
Such a great way to represent the current game with everyone's favorite rivalry
Amazing duel and animation! So epic
This is actually fkn sick. RUclips recommendations strike again!
Im shocked. This is a true masterpiece. WOW
I don't remember Little Yugi going so hard on his attack declarations. My man needs a cough drop after these lol
The animation was amazing! Keep this up!
this is actually really good. why is there only 600 likes? so under rated
This was a huge treat to watch, excellent work!
Thanks a lot! I've recently watched some of your videos to help me understand some archetypes I want to use in the future! Would love to work on a something with you in the future! Let me know if that interests you!

Great job!!! It's an amazing duel. I loved so much
This was some amazing work, I’ve actually started my voice acting career with the Yugioh Characters so I’d be more then happy to help if you were interested in further vocal accuracy in the future with. If you reach out I’ll send over a list of the voices:) cheers lads
I always announce auditions in my discord and community tab of this channel!
@@crispy_synchron sweet, what is the discord? I’ll send you a sample of lines
I love how Yami/Atem recognized Synchro Summoning because he dueled alongside Yusei in Bonds Beyond Time
Also with Kaiba tampering with the dimensions together with his "bleeding edge" state of the art technology known as Duel Links, duelists from other dimensions started appearing all over the place and with the appearance of Paradox, it has become problematic to turn things back to normal as it is.
This was amazing work . Hats off to you
Was that the unique XyZ Dark Magician Girl I saw in the thumbnail? The one Kazuki Takahashi made before his death?
Amazing work, it’s great all around
Feels like a canon episode to me. Very well done in my opinion.
(hears a familiar tune goes off) Whenever that tune goes off, that's when you know that little Yugi is taking a nap while Atem is gonna play
0:35 "Grrr-" 🥶🥶🥶
This deserves millions of views 10/10
15:10 that can't possibly be legal. "Oh, you're playing a top teir deck? Well, next year, K̶o̶n̶a̶m̶i̶ Pegasus releases a set with cards specifically designed to counter that deck! Haha who is king of games now Yugi? You really should have known I'd invent world changing technology and even figure out how to access the afterlife and bring you back to the world of the living just so I could beat you in a card game!"
Haha to be fair isn't that kind of what Paradox does in Bonds Beyond Time?
Love little Yugi voice, especiallly when he screams during attacking lol
THAT WAS SOOOOOO COOOOOOOOOOOOOL !!!!!!!!
This is most definelty part of my Saturday morning lineup! I digs this heavy ! Nostalgic feeling as I slide down my stairwell to the top of my fridge and grab Captain Crunch !
Damn, we eating good on this one!
I really loved Dark Side of Dimensions, i just really wished they made more episodes instead of just one movie 😭😭😭😭
we need a special where we see Kaiba face the Pharaoh for the final time
Loved it after a long time seen an epic duel😊.
How the hell this video has few views 😟? Incredible work 😃
1:35, kaiba cards, wow just wow😲
Sensational!!🔥🔥
say what u want these games are more entertaining than watching a competitive game
Masterpiece.
Where did you get the monster models from?
good question, ever since from Various Yugioh Games such as Duel Links & maybe more by Konami, thanks to SAB64 for MMD Models.
Bro this is fire ! When Yami dropped dark illusion it made me feel like I was playing master duel I got hype and jumped out my chair no circle on board but I know the video was still cooking / unfolding 🎉
Thanks! I know staples are better in real life but I try to incorporate more interesting answers to bad situations in my script if possible!
This was an amazing duel and they used actual cards and no shenanigans
Is there anyway to view their deck lists? This was the best fan versions of these two's anime decks i've ever seen
Remarkable 🤩👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💯💯💯💯
Domino city tourney...and still trying to figure out how to unlock the characters for this series...
