I love this so much! The superquant player gave off nice Jaden-vibes, fitting as its also a kind of hero archetype, just super sentai instead of american comic books. Also the power of friendship cheese, when the megazord comes out, just as we expect from a MC.

I loved every second of it. The personality, the animation, the plays... even the cheesy dialogue at the end. This is my jam, what I want out of scripted Yu-Gi-Oh!
Super Quant is my favorite archetype, it was so cool seeing them in VR! Cant' wait for the next episode, even if it's a different deck.

Wow, this is awesome! The voice acting and special effects were spot on! Also, Super Quantums were in this and I loved playing the deck back then. Bonus points!
Not gonna lie at first I was like nah this is gonna cringe but I stuck through it just to see how it will end and I honestly enjoyed it, Cyber Dark vs Super Quantum is what kept me watching especially since I never saw someone play Super Quantum before. The ending was nice and I will definitely like to see some more VR duels from this channel with more original characters and hopefully more fun deck archetypes. Keep it up please!

I am SO happy this duel exists! It uses my favorite archetype in Super Quants! They do not get enough love! They're AWESOME! It takes a little bit of skill to make them work nicely, but they make the dream work with the teamwork!

Just watched this after leaving my comment on your previous video! Cyberdark guy still talked a little fast, but I can see the improvements already! The scripting is excellent, too-- I was expecting a little cringe all in good faith, but I honestly found myself laughing genuinely at a lot of the jokes. "Mighty morphin' morons" is one I'm absolutely stealing. Again, my point stands that it DOES start quite abruptly-- an intro even just with some text introducing the characters and the setup and a few one-liners would go a long way towards making this feel even more authentic. Great job!
EDIT: The whole speech about teamwork was a REALLY clever display of both archetypes and their themes. Just proves my point about the writing on this being TOP notch stuff.
Haha yeah I actually had to voice the Cyberdark duelist myself. I originally had a professional VA to voice him but he had to cancel. Luckily I have more time to get VAs for the next one! And I will take your advice!

Damn this was actually pretty good. Never thought much of VR as a medium, even more as a anime, but this video changed my mind. I would love more of these duels, can the next one have a Ghostrick deck on one of the duelists? Just a suggestion

This is amazing... the animation and your plays, all I can say is to either add lore and more characters. (Voice acting needs work too in my opinion, also mic quality, but I love the effort and you'll make it far with time)

Madolche is a great choice! Im actually already planning a female duel but I still might use madolche for another female character down the road.

Wow that was amazing you weren't kidding when you said I was gonna like that last play you given me a new card I would enjoy using in my Super Quant deck on Master Duel in Skill Drain it would help loads in combination with a 4-6 mat Great Magnus you did an amazing job here I enjoyed this duel so much and I'm looking forward to Future Duels from you
Thanks a ton! The timing of the activation of Skill Drain is very important! If you activate it before XYZ summoning Great Magnus, he actually will also get negated so much like the Duelist, be very careful!
@@crispy_synchron True timing is everything in a Duel since Magnus gets the Materials after he is Summoned with Magna Carrier before he gets any effects so even if he does get the required 4+ materials for the negate effect it wont work. But thanks for taking the time to make this Duel again i look forward to seeing more from you
Glad you liked it! I plan on doing big effort videos like this about once a month. I'm also considering doing some faster videos where it's scripted duels between two voice actors just on camera and using master duel or something. I wonder if people would still be interested in that

Not bad, I personally would have sent Cyberdark Chimera and a copy of Cyber Dragon Herz or Core to the graveyard to add something claw or cannon to my hand. Then when Chimera is sent to the GY you can send another Cyberdark to the GY, and Herz can add Cyber Dragon. Core could also activate if you sent that assuming you don't have a monster to summon Nachster, which can then summon Chimera
For an independent production this was really REALLY good. Probably on par with the newer animes, but that's not much of a comparison 😅
i won't lie, i was prepared to see how cringe this would be but i was completely wrong this was pretty well made and the voices were really good

Haha I'm glad I exceeded your expectations! I actually had to voice the Cyberdark duelist because the original voice actor had to cancel. I've never acted before so it didn't come out perfect. But the next one will be even better!
@@crispy_synchron well that's pretty that you voiced but sad to hear that the original va had to cancel (still, i liked the voices for both characters a lot ^^), i have a dream of wanting to try voice acting as well but i have not done much due to me not having much confidence but i'm trying to slowly build up my confidence so i could do some voice acting as a job 😊

If you're willing to take requests, I'd love to see a duel between a underdog duelist (a joey kind of duelist if you will) vs a monster of a dark boss (a duelist with a twisted mind and a dark deck) who's so focused on torturing their "inferior opponent" that they end up letting the underdog win, impressing both his friends and the normal rival

I know it doesn't change the outcome, but when Cyberdark Inferno was destroyed, the player forgot to add Polymerization or a Spell with Fusion in its name to his hand.

The similarities of Magnacarrier's effect for summoning Great Magnus to Dimensional Robo, Goyusha from Cardfight!! Vanguard are why I love Magnus so much. Goyusha can essentially pool several themed units to summon a max-level one from the deck (using Yugioh terminology here even though Vanguard has its own), and a character in S2 of the original anime uses Goyusha to summon his ace, Super Dimensional Robo Great Daiyusha in a sequence that has the component 'bots transforming Sentai style, let alone the S1 theme song playing at full blast. I've occasionally tried to imagine what Yugioh decks Vanguard characters would play, and that makes the decision here way too easy. The image of that scene happening but with Super Quants lives in me rent-free, and I even came up with a name for it: "Cross-over Xyz Evolution(!)" Since summoning a monster with an effect like Goyusha's in Vanguard is called a "Crossride." And it's technically a crossover with this.
TL;DR - you wouldn't believe how fast I clicked once I saw "Super Quantum"/knowing that this was anime-styled. You couldn't have ended it any other way.
P.S. The hilarious thing about that Cardfight!! Vanguard scene (which you can find on RUclips in JP ["Cardfight!! Vanguard(05):great daiyusha final turn] or ENG ["[Cardfight! Vanguard] Kenji Mitsusada vs. Ren Suzugamori (Daiyusha)"}; quotation marks were added by me) is that Kenji, the guy who summons Daiyusha, is a secondary character at best. And that was literally a battle that had no real bearing on the plot. And yet he got the show's first OP for the climax.
I love vanguard! I would make animations about vanguard but they wouldn't do as well as it isn't as popular
@@crispy_synchron You're probably right...as much as I'd at least love to see one, it must take a lot of effort to do these videos, and that requires one to consider the likely 'success' even more.
I've been offhandedly trying to figure out how to cross Vanguard cards into Yugioh or vice-versa for years now, and while the answer for the V to Y conversion seems be Xyz and/or Link monsters (though accounting for the lack of a proper equivalent to the "Vanguard" circle is another matter), the Yugioh to Vanguard conversion is more ambiguous, since while Vanguard has named/name-checking archetypes (i.e. Dimensional Robos), they seem to have a much smaller role in Vanguard, making it harder to transplant a lot of Yugioh decks.
Sorry for that extra rambling, but I don't know many people who know both franchises (Lightsworn is what I think I'd use for an OC if I wrote a Vanguard fic, because I don't know the card game well enough to give them a deck that's reasonably distinct from canon characters', and the Lightsworn lore also helps write the plot a bit.
@@EthanKironus8067 perhaps I could experiment with a low effort version where voice actors just talk over a re scripted vanguard game. I was thinking about doing something similar with Yu-Gi-Oh to keep content coming
@@crispy_synchron That would be neat. A lot of fan-scripted character duels use at least bits of EDOPro footage, so the concept is familiar to me.

Loved it! But one thing I was wondering, wouldn’t the very last effect not go through? As Magnus loses its effect immunity when it detaches an Xyz material, going down to 3, right?
Thanks for the comment! He used both effects of the blue mech. One to destroy a field spell and another to attach a card from hand as material. So blue mech had 2 material when making great Magnus so Magnus started with 5 material shown by the number of rings circling him!

Some I was able to find renders of and others I edited myself
@@crispy_synchron for the ones you rendered you should be very proud i've been trying to render some images but finding HD images is though and trying to crop while making it look seamless is a challenge lol
if i may ask do you have a link to where you found most of the renders you used? i'm looking to try and do something like this as well for my own project and i've been having trouble finding renders that aren't the ones from Duel Links

Woah woah woah. Hold on- Is that true? Skill drain can still negate Cyberdark end? Even though it is unaffected by actuated effects?
Its unaffected by "activated" effects the effect of skill drain is continuous and therefore not an activated effect. I tested this in a Yugioh sim ahead of time to ensure this was correct haha

Man, if I had the chance to VA on this… I’d love to play a character that uses either a “Koala”-centric deck… Or an “Armed Dragon Thunder” deck (with Pile Armed Dragon being in the mix)
