These guys were straight fire in 87-88. Just dope period. See, that’s what makes the eighties hip hop so superior. You had so many versatile styles and nobody was wack. Don’t get me wrong the nineties were fire too, but the eighties hip hop was something special, unique hands down. Super lover c and Casanova rud are legends. Great interview
EXTRA STRENGTH SHOUT OUT TO MY MAIN MAN 👨🏿 KRAZE THE KING 🤴🏿 OF CONTENT! RECLAIMING OUR CULTURE ONE ☝🏿 LESSON AT A TIME. RESPECT ✊🏿 TO MY BROTHERS SUPER LOVER AND CASANOVA.
Super Lover Cee is the talented Fresh Prince of rap. Sorry Wilma Smith.. . And his Cadence reminds me of Triplets in rhythm. Good stuff - obviously - he's been sampled more times than the Funky Drummer. Never really heard their jams around here in 88.. once on Detroit radio.
I think tht Cee's lyrical style was "before the time"; different...much different. Example: Mc Breeze could rhyme but could also sing. HIP HOP wasn't really to embrace artist like you two. Remember, Eddie Murphy could sing as well and invested time/energy/money into music talent aspirations. However, "fans"; the Entertainment industry wasn't ready. Then! Jamie Fox came along who also had to work harder at one of his talents...music. You "feel" me? Anyway, I listen to "Do the James" mostly (my fav record) but along with the others. Just on that record, a hip hop listener can tell that you were (are) dope with your delivery. ✌🏽 GOD.
I think this is much needed these cats were and still are Hip hop Royalty

Everyone was different. ATCQ didn't sound like Public Enemy, Big Daddy Kane doesn't sound like KRS.
