Bearded bob, I really appreciate your channel and what you do. You actually went out and got all these products to test it out for us so that we can know which one is the best to use. I really appreciate it and I hope your channel grows! Thanks!
i just bought the corepads and they feel freaking amazing, just like the originial ones but with more control. To anyone buying new Skatez: Remember to peel off the old skatzes completely until you see the screws or the mouse wont work because of the short lift off distance.
Great video Bob, very informative as always. Your testing over the last year or so has contributed quite a lot of helpful info for people trying to decide on which skates and mouse pads to buy, we really appreciate the work you do. I've also tried a lot of different skates and while I haven't done any proper testing with equipment, I've noticed Hotline Masters in particular feel very strange compared to all the other options. I have them for my G-Wolves Hati and they gain a lot of friction when there's any sort of downward pressure on the mouse. The glide feels pretty good without pressure but as soon as you press down lightly or rest your hand on the mouse, they slow right down. I had to go back to Hyperglides and Tigers as I just didn't like the feel. How do you find them in actual use compared to the other options? They also had me fooled for a while, as I initially didn't notice the transparent film they had over the running surface. They felt awful at first and I couldn't figure out what it was, the film was so hard to see haha.
Thanks dude appreciate the positive feedback and glad you find the information useful, I would as its no easy task picking feet with the limited information around. That film has got a few people lol, I now sit there picking at them for a good 10 mins to see if there is any haha...One thing i've learnt this year is every mouse reacts differently to the feet that are on it, so what brand might be super fast/feel great on one mouse might not be good on another.
I can test them and add that to the data. I'm just working on some web pages which can show this view on my website, but i've jut broken it lol. Hoping to resolve this later today.
Something to note about white skates. Corepads on my G203 lowered the CPI by 40, from 400 down to around 360 and they're the same thickness as the stock feet. Seemingly, it's not just the thickness that can alter CPI. My guess is that the mercury sensor didn't like the white sensor ring, perhaps combined with mouse pad coating. I was using an Infensus OP at the time, which has a unique surface - but the stock black sensor ring had no issues on it. Maybe a quirk of the mercury sensor, but I will stick with black hotlines from now on, at least on mice with sensor rings. Hotlines also seem to have much better glide than corepads - rounded edges or no rounded edges.
Where you able to test the static friction (starting and stopping friction) for the different feet? I feel like the hyperglides are primarly very smooth, but as the static friction feels higher, it makes the balance between start/stop and glide feel more uneven.
I have used Hyperglides once. I got them for my Ultralight Phantom and I noticed a big difference in speed after a while. The glide slowed quite a bit. In my current mouse, I'm using Corepads. Throughout the use of the feet the same pad can be used but i feel those steps i mentioned would give more accurate results when it comes to actually testing if the feet have changed in any way :)
Nice video. You say that standard feet are the fastest but they dont feel that fast, i think it's cause of your hand weight as the skatez doesn't have the same shape, the surface that is in contact with the mousepad might vary depending on the weight.
@@Beardedbob yes it seems tricky indeed, and that can change with hand weight and the way we grip the mouse. I think I just found why some people feel a mousepad faster and other slower than another mousepad.

Hey bob, you should update this video with your new knowledge on core pads. I watched a more recent video of yours before purchasing them for my g pro wireless where you had some criticism for the core pads. I'm very glad I watched more than one video of yours before buying!
Hey, what skatez do you recommend? I usually have low sensitivity and have a glorious extended mousepad (cloth) was thinking maybe corepads but there are so many mixed reviews on all of these.
I recently got the tiger arc ones for my G303 after waiting for like 2 months, and I'm disappointed. They fixed the scratchiness that the stock feet had but they feel slower. They are also thicker and that caused my G303 sensor to not track properly (the PWM3366 has an extremely low LOD.) I'm gonna buy corepads.
This is because you bought the tiger arc2 which are thicker. The original tiger arcs are thinner so you wont have tracking issues. Plus, arc2’s have more speed/less control.
Stock feet on my GPW (1938) felt great when they were new, bought it 11/30/2019, but I think the shape is inferior to the rounded pads and they've been feeling slow and scratchy. Replaced them with GPW hyperglides and it feels so much better. Definitely better glide and lower effort to move the mouse around compared to my worn pads. Mouse pad is CM MP510 XL.
@@Beardedbob yeah I was shocked by the results in your video but it made me realize that I had no problem with the feet around the time I got it. At least the aftermarket feet are somewhat close and maybe last a little longer.

I've been going with corepads on every mouse i've bought skates for. Corepads are just super easy to get for me in germany, they're also affordable and perform very well! I've always wanted to try hyperglides and hotlines, but those take weeks to arrive and i'm the type of person that'd pay more to get his stuff faster, but that isn't an option on those skates, so i'll just stick to corepad lol
I used stock, Tiger Arc, Hotline competition and Lexip. I love Lexip and found they are way above anything: faster and way more precise. Then Hotline, stock and finally Tiger. Tiger feels sticky. Hotline feels better than stock. Lexip works on my Hien soft. It just need the weight of my hand to function well. I'm surprised Lexip appears slower in the test, I really feel they have less friction than competition.
Maybe because they are curved they are indenting in the soft pads which cause it not to momentarily move a bit further like the flat teflon stuff used. Q: Did you use Lexip ceramics on a GPW? How? If so, wondering because i want to do the same but it automatically uses the sensor to set the LOD or something. I'm thinking about grinding the diameter of the ceramic feet onto the GPW positioned all over the mouse and trying to find the same LOD used for the OEM's so if its 0.6mm i'll try to add that in consideration & then grind it till it's the same depth with the ceramics on and hopefully don't go through the plastic as it might be too thin in certain places.
The Lexip might dig into the cloth more and a hard surface could potentially help as it would help stop them digging in. The mouse pad imo for the GPW makes the biggest difference in speed or control, this though is different for each mouse.
@@Limeayy Yes I use the Lexips on a GPW. I placed 4 of them next to the original feet. It wouldn't work if placed on the grooves of the feet. It only works because the feet dig in a little under the weight of my hand. Also it didn't work so well with a previous unit, the latest batches may have a higher LOD.
@@Beardedbob Yes I use them on the GPW. The combo only work because of the soft mouse pad and my hand adding weight so the feet dig in a little. Even like that I found that those feet clearly allow for more precises micro movements, at least compared to stock feet. I liked Hotlines but those really suits me. However on my Xsoft Raiden they dig in too much and there's a stop and go feeling really awkward. With the soft foam from Artisan it's great.
Nice video. Would love to see a comparison video between the Kailh vs Chinese Omron vs Japanese Omron and perhaps 1 or 2 other random ones thrown in the mix.
@@Beardedbob If you want to do the tests with several mice of the same type that are not expensive maybe something like the Logitech G203, they are only $20 USD.
But after your test you can affirm that corepad ard faster once broken in than tiger right ? Because a lot of ppl say that the tiger are faster and smoother. Thx for the review best ive seen tbh.
The corepads I’ve tasted have been faster when new and broken in. The mouse pad can play a part in house smooth they glide. Some might perform better on cloth than a hard surface which is very prone to grit and scratching.
@@Beardedbob Thank you! But for some reason i can't find anywhere hotlines because im from eu so should i pick tigers? Because i have tried corepads and they are too fast for me. :/
Can you suggest me the most control or slowest mouse feet for a Finalmouse ultralight 2? Btw I like your video (I bought the tiger arc 1 but I don’t know if it a good choice if I want the most control or slowest feet)
Hi I bought corepdas and wasnt that happy with them, so i decedid to buy Hyperglides for my G Pro. I like the Hyperglides a lot but my main problem is that i dont have the middle ring anymore. Is there a way to get a middle ring that is the same like the stock one? Btw really nice vid
So your run your GPW on Hyperglides just without the middle ring? I tryed that and it felt weird, it felt like i had less control over the mouse. But if you‘d say its better than putting a random feet under the mouse I‘m gonna try to play on it on a long term.
hi Bob, great video. appreciate the effort you've put into testing. If you don't mind the question, aside from the hyperglides, which feet on the GPW would you recommend for an Artisan Hien mid? I prefer something on the quick side, but I'm also thinking about durability for both the mousepad and the feet.
Hi, glad you enjoy the content. If you want speed then corepad, hotline or hyperglides I would look at. Tiger Arc 2 are meant to be faster than the original but i'm yet to test them.
@@Beardedbob thank you! you earned yourself a subscriber. I will go ahead and order those today! Hope you and your family stay safe during these chaotic times.
what will you choose between corepad, hyperglide, hotline mast and hotline comp if they are all same price and why? Also what is the difference between having round edge or not? Thank you!
all the aftermarket skates like corepad, hyperglides etc.. i feel do not come flat, the edges seem to be raised and the centre is lower which leads me to believe the way they round the edges is they push the outsides down while keeping something in the centre instead of using a process like sanding or cutting etc.. This is why new skates feet bad and for this reason i actually grind mine down on a melamine table top until they are flat which gives much better results for me personally. Otherwise it just feels like the mouse is gliding on a very small amount of surface area which greatly affects the feel and glide. maybe something for you to test? :P
@@Beardedbob It is hard to notice that they are not flat until you start removing the material off the bottom and can see that the edges wear down to eventually it is flat to the centre, has happened with all brands over the last few years in my experience. They are not bent or bend over time, they arrive fine but until you actually start taking material off that you actually see its not 100% flat.
@@Beardedbob That's too bad. Hyperglides is too expensive and hard to get in stock. I saw a hyperglides on ebay and it cost £30 includ P&P. I am using Corepads mouse feet with master Mp510 mouse pad and it does not feel smooth.
@@DEANluxray mp510 is fairly rough for a cloth pad. Those cheap "thick" pads on Amazon (not the amazon branded ones though) are actually very smooth. Cost $10-15 for the same size as mp510. If you want smooth, I actually like those.... I have 10+ pads, glide38, artisan, glorious, razor, etc. And the "smoothest" is definitely the cheap one from amazon; "reflex lab" is the brand I have, but there are multiple brands on there selling the same thing. (US here btw)
In this test and the others the stocks have always been on the faster side. The problem is you can't buy replacements and people report they degrade fast so if you want to keep a fast glide you will need to buy some alternatives.
this might be a ridiculous question but i noticed that the hyperglides come with 4 pieces but the other brands come with 5 so do i buy hyperglides and remove my stock skates and then put the 4 hyper glides on and have no circular skate around the censor? is the round skate that goes around the censor not needed?
Hey man, which mouse feet are the best for the Finalmouse UL2 in your opinion? Corepad, Tiger or R-Curved from X-ray? Unfortunately there's no Hyperglides for UL2 still, so i wanna choose between those. Also do you know any info about Hyperglides for UL2? I'm asking because it's been a long time since the mouse was released.
the Hyperglides are rounded and the stocks aren't which I prefer. If it wasn't a GPW I would say its wroth it but the GPW has decent stock feet. I would wear them out then swap them.

Hey I purchased the lexip mouse feet but my mouse wasn't tracking so I ordered the tiger ark mouse feet and they do the same thing. any reason why this is.
The Lexip feet are 1.2mm in height and normal skates are around 0.6mm so the increase in height can mess up the sensor tracking on the 3360, 3389 and hero 16k

looking for mouse feet for a hard pad, lexips dont work and the glass feet i was hoping for are out of stock :{
Which mouse do you have the Lexip on? the GPW?
Yeah I'm looking forward to these results. I just need to decide on the donor mouse so that I can use the same PCB.
@@Beardedbob is that normal I got different corepad batch ? I mean i got 1 set of rounded edge and 1 set of non rounded so they were scratchy.
@@Beardedbob You should not eat PTFE, I heard it's bad for Your health ;)
i love your reviews always analysing every detail.. but its so sad that in my fcking country is impossible to find mouse skates... :(
Thanks btm glad you liked it 👍 , do you have access to ebay? plenty on there.
Will you check how glass skates perform on this mouse if they are available?
Nice video! My mouse feet are almost destroyed and i got used to them. Can you tell witch mouse feet are close to the stock feet?
Hard to say, hotlines I would say if I had to as they have the same edge which isn’t rounded like the corepads or hyperglides.
I've not tested to may skatez for that mouse. Each mouse performs differently also. Tiger Arc 1 were control over the others i've tested.
Hey nice video. So i bought the corepad skates. Was that a good idea? Bc most people are buying the tiger_arc. Thanks!
Hi, I don’t mind corepads. It’s down to your personal preference
Nope once the stock ring is gone its gone. I don't run one on my GPW are you finding a problem without one?
So your run your GPW on Hyperglides just without the middle ring? I tryed that and it felt weird, it felt like i had less control over the mouse. But if you‘d say its better than putting a random feet under the mouse I‘m gonna try to play on it on a long term.
wich is the best for g305 wireless? GOOD VIDEO!!!
Not sure I've not tested then all for the g305
@@Beardedbob Will this video be out soon?
hi Bob, great video. appreciate the effort you've put into testing.
@@Beardedbob thanks for the reply! looks like I'll be going for the corepads
what skates would you recommend for a corsair mm800 hard mouse pad for the g pro wireless?
depends if you like speed or control. I like corepad or Hyperglides on this.
@@Beardedbob thank you! you earned yourself a subscriber. I will go ahead and order those today! Hope you and your family stay safe during these chaotic times.

Thanks man, I need to get seen more HELP ME.... apricate the support though and glad you like my content.
what will you choose between corepad, hyperglide, hotline mast and hotline comp if they are all same price and why? Also what is the difference between having round edge or not? Thank you!
Personally I use Corepad or Hyperglides but I just have them in to use.
all the aftermarket skates like corepad, hyperglides etc.. i feel do not come flat, the edges seem to be raised and the centre is lower which leads me to believe the way they round the edges is they push the outsides down while keeping something in the centre instead of using a process like sanding or cutting etc.. This is why new skates feet bad and for this reason i actually grind mine down on a melamine table top until they are flat which gives much better results for me personally. Otherwise it just feels like the mouse is gliding on a very small amount of surface area which greatly affects the feel and glide. maybe something for you to test? :P
I've not found them to have edge issues. Are you finding the skates are bent when they arrive or are they bending overtime?
@@Beardedbob It is hard to notice that they are not flat until you start removing the material off the bottom and can see that the edges wear down to eventually it is flat to the centre, has happened with all brands over the last few years in my experience. They are not bent or bend over time, they arrive fine but until you actually start taking material off that you actually see its not 100% flat.
i really like the stock feet on g pro wireless. In your opinion which aftermarket mousefeet feel the closest to the stock feet?
Hotlines probably do because of there non rounded sides.
@@Beardedbob which version do you refer to competition or master?
In your diagram Standard mouse feet are the fastest, where I can get those?
You can't buy new stock feet once they wear out
@@Beardedbob That's too bad.
@@TheRealWarez There is no Reflex lab in the UK, I end up getting Asus Scabbard which is very smooth. Thank you for responding
wait so all the feet SLOWER than stock feet? Whats the point of buying em then?
In this test and the others the stocks have always been on the faster side. The problem is you can't buy replacements and people report they degrade fast so if you want to keep a fast glide you will need to buy some alternatives.
@@Beardedbob But people replace the instantly after their hyperglides arrive... is this just a G Pro Wireless thing?
I got corepad for my G Pro Wireless, its good, but not see biggest diference from Standard. Corepad is Just a bit more Smooth
the stock are good on the GPW
Great video mate!
Thanks Mack McFarland glad you liked it 👍
can you put links in the description where i can buy them ?
All of the skatez?
@@Beardedbob yea
Is it worth using the stock pads before i get new pads ? or should i just buy new pads? I was thinking about getting the tiger or hyper glide
Imo yes
@@Beardedbob i was told the tiger arc 1 are close to as good as the hyper glide what u think.
this might be a ridiculous question but i noticed that the hyperglides come with 4 pieces but the other brands come with 5 so do i buy hyperglides and remove my stock skates and then put the 4 hyper glides on and have no circular skate around the censor? is the round skate that goes around the censor not needed?
I've tested this here ruclips.net/video/a9OcfrjgST0/видео.html
In short I remove the middle skate is it makes little to no difference
@@Beardedbob thanks!
Corepad gave me issues i had to sand mine down a little for my mouse to track properly.
In the speed vs control test I dont see the stock feet? And you have two different you call "standard"? What do you mean by standard?
Standard = stock 👍
I want the mouse to be fast would it be worth it switching from stock mouse feet to the hyperglides can you feel a difference?
the Hyperglides are rounded and the stocks aren't which I prefer. If it wasn't a GPW I would say its wroth it but the GPW has decent stock feet. I would wear them out then swap them.
Beardedbob Thanks
Where the lexips tested on a hard pad? I use lexips on my g440 hard pad and friction seems to be almost none existent
They have been.
Bob should i get the corepads or the hyperglides, i prefer the orginal but have to change the switches coz of the double click issue !!!

What would you say has the most control but the smoothest? Don’t really care about speedish. I’ve seen the video but wanted to hear a personal opinion from you. Awesome video btw
