I Fell Over And Really Hurt My Fake Knee. Not A Very Good Thing To Do

I tripped over my bedspread last night and landed with my full weight on my knee replacement. Although it is very sore I don't think that I have done any lasting damage. Just a bruised knee, hip, elbow and shoulder.

Thank you. I am OK now. I was a bit shaken afterwards but apart from a few bruises and aches and pains I am OK this morning.

I am thankful I didn't damage my knee replacement. I could have damaged the pin or the bone. So far everything seems fine.
It makes you feel frightened to see what you have done , but it seems your ok thank goodness , enjoy the sunny days we are having take care of
I was just scared that I had damaged my knee implant or loosened it in some way. Hopefully I have just bruised it.

Yes it's a lot better now. Just a bit tender in places that I didn't know I had fallen on. The knee has bruises but they will fade
Oh Jan, I hope your knee is feeling better!! The ‘c’ in rice stands for compression, ‘e’ is for elevate. I’ll have to look for your Facebook posting with the cranes. We saw some sandhill cranes in the field behind my mom’s yard a couple of evenings ago, as well as a momma deer and a couple of her little ones !! Love your cardigan! I’ve been making progress on my cardigan, and now understand what people mean when they say they’re splitting for the sleeves’! I’m so happy to have an understanding of how to construct a simple cardigan!! As for sports, that’s never been my cup of tea. My siblings played and taught tennis. I was on our high school tennis team for one season and prayed for rain every time we were scheduled to play a match against another school! I’m just not a competitive natured person. I do enjoy watching/listening to baseball though, I find it to be a nicely slow paced,relaxing gentlemanly sport…just my speed. It’s been hot as hades over here! Mom and I have been laying low, spending time on her deck watching the wildlife until the heat becomes unbearable. She will be turning 84 on Sunday! She’s physically in pretty good shape and doesn’t really look her age…unfortunately her memory and judgment aren’t as good. Her 87 year old sister (whom she hasn’t seen in person since early last June) is being driven over here to surprise her for her birthday!!

I hope that your Mum had a good birthday surprise. The cranes that I mentioned weren't cranes at all they were big diggers on the beach. The only birds that we usually see are sea gulls. So glad that you ae progressing with your cardigan. The more that you make the easier it will become. I was only sporty in athletics at school. I cannot track a ball with my eyes so no use at tennis, badminton or squash. My running days were over when I first injured my knee ( later the fake knee) at the age of 14.

My son says that I shouldn't call it my fake knee but that is how I think of it. I don't seem to have done any damage to it. I am just bruised and I ache.

It did shake me up a lot but life goes on so I just got on with things. My knee still hurts but nothing was broken so I will heal soon . Thanks for your concern.

Ouch!
It was a bit ouch when I did it but the pain has subsided now to an ache with bruising.
I wacked my knee last year on the corner of the bath , Swore a little bleed a wee bit and have a Grand scar and it still aches
Sorry to hear that. It does hurt and shakes us up when something like that happens. I ache in places other than my knee today but otherwise I am OK

5 days ago I got stuck with my foot and fell over like a timber. Landed with both hand and one knee on the concreete. For a second I felt I was flying like superman. It still herts and I got scratches😢
So sorry that you got hurt. It shakes you up when things like this happen. I got away with bruises and aches and pains but otherwise I am OK
