    We just visited their store in Porto. Nicest people. Plus cheap development and scan @ €5/roll for C-41! Only downside is it takes 4 days.

      4 days is pretty quick! but not so if you are traveling, that's so great you had a nice visit there!

    Really enjoy watching your videos - not a film shooter at the moment but it is interesting to see what is happening in the world of film :)

    Great video, very enjoyable. HP5 shooter, usually, but I need to try some other emulsions. Cool packaging:-)

      Thanks!! Haha I need to set up again, thinking of a space where I can leave it permanently instead of setting up and taking down each time in the bathroom!

      yes space can be a challenge, more people should be printing especially darkroom , it will do you channel a-lot of good to showcase darkroom and set you aside from your peers, how many channels of your generation print regularly , how many girls print regularly, lina bessanova aside …get in on the ground floor, remember the dark room scene in the movie kong. is quite an iconic scene as are the ones in the woody allen movie Vicky christina barcelona .. more than anything it improves photography!! its all about the print . so said ansel adams .. im 😁😁😉😉😉😉😉….

      @@ulyssesnathanialowen3831 there’s loads of people and women that print in the darkroom! I know quite a few, and there are a few on RUclips!

    Given the bracketing on the B&W film what would be your recommendation for future use for you ( if you have/get more of this specific film stock ) and the viewer if we get some film.

      I would definitely not overexpose it! lol I liked the results at box speed or -1 for this film

    I'm really not a fan of those brands not disclosing what exact film they respooled. I understand that it's not so great for them if people see the same film without the fancy canister for 2€ less somewhere else, but honestly the business model of selling people the same old thing in new packaging and hoping they don't care is flawed. There aren't many different film stocks in the world, it is how it is, that's no reason to play make-believe imo. Those respooled canisters have become so abundant that I'm starting to feel like it's just disingenuous. If you have to hide the actual film that you're selling, your absolutely trying to trick people.
    Just state what emulsion it is if you want to resell the film. Then all is good. People can compare prices for themselves and decide whether yours is good enough. They know what they've got at hand. They know that this is not Kodak Vision, but the rather obscure and pretty objectively worse Orwo stock (that I still happen to like, btw). Hiding this vital information makes you look like someone who wants to rip people off.

      Just because they said she can't tell us which inoviscoat film it is doesn't mean we can't narrow it down until there's only one answer left in the comments...

      The Coimbra film is marked 5222 on the canister and since it is a 250 ISO film it leads me to believe it is Kodak 5222 aka Double-X.

    • @Eclectachrome
      @Eclectachrome  5 месяцев назад

      Perhaps for some, yes, but some also have NDAs with the manufacturers too which is understandable, I prefer transparency too, but it also depends on how much more the price is…a lot, well okay that is too much, $1 or $2, then I don’t mind so much and I’m happy to support a small business that wants to run in the analog film industry. It might not be the same as others out there either but can’t say for sure.

    You did not shoot any B-roll? You were enjoying the company of fellow photographers??? How dare you!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Sometimes enjoying the moment, the camaraderie, the photography is somewhat more important than the B-roll!!! And it also means you get to spend more 'screen time' in your video showing off the results (love the 500 D shots -- and you kept correcting your video to say 500 ISO, but the Cinemot website does say 400 ISO for the Lisboa 500D film).

      Hahaha oh jeez, I think I got so muddled there with the ISO 😂😂😂 also love your point about the b roll!!! It was refreshing actually!!

    The color photos look like Lomo Metropolis. Which I really hate. It may be good for some people but I’ll pass.
