- Hey guys! Long time no see! New video and this time a new ANIME, Hunter x Hunter, personally my top 1 ANIME (well first Naruto, but Naruto have fillers episodes).
Other news, I will be doing another video talking about what's going to happen on this channel. I'll be leaving for two years, but this channel will still be on with new content

DESCRIPTION:
The Phantom Troupe or Gen'ei Ryodan, is a world-renowned gang of thieves with Class-A Bounties. The group is also known as "Spider" and its members go by the name of "Spiders". Most of them hail from Meteor City.
The group consists of thirteen members, all of whom are highly skilled Nen users. Each member has a numbered tattoo of a twelve-legged spider on their body.
Some of you will say, what about Omokage? He appears in the movie Hunter x Hunter: The Phantom Rouge, as the defected member 4 of the Phantom Troupe, I didn't put him because he is non-canon member. The movie is not from the same timeline or universe or whatever of the anime.

and the other members seem to really value his opinions and respect him ( except maybe nobu which he gets into conflicts with regularly) . He seems like the mediator of the troupe keeping everyone in check and making sure everyone is on the same page like when they were about to fight each other over chasing kurapika and he calmed everyone down and gave them a better plan .

Shalnark is a huge loss for the Troupe. They really killed those who are skilled in intelligence gathering, Pakunoda and Shalnark. For thieves, the power of Kortopi is indespensable as well.

From the hunterxhunter source book the author stated that for the sake of the plot of the dark continent arc where Illumi was hired to join the troupe to kill Hisoka. It would be too much of a share-spotlight if they have Illumi and Shalnark in the troupes because of their similarity in abilities and their needle action of the abilities. :(

@@Neo-iu6mx i know them being manipulators but I dont think there'd be conflict or overlapping since Illumi is waaaay different fro Shalnark. Illumi can control so many puppets. He kills without puppets and is way stronger than most troupe.

i thinks its a genius way of togashi so we didnt have to see hisoka fight with that same enemy nen again. and by doing so i think togashi want to end this phantom troupe group because now they lose kortopi nen who is also a vital ability to had for a thief.

in my understanding Hisoka kills the members of the spiders to empty Chrollo's book as nearly all stolen abilities get removed on death.
Chrollo used both Shalnark and kortopi's abilities to defeat him, so in turn Hisoka knew that those 2 didnt stand a chance against him without their abilities and removes 2 abilities from Chrollo's book for free
Feitan just speaks inverted Japanese when he uses the pain packer. It is inverted in English too so I suppose the same can go for the other version of dub.

Great list man. Just to let you know that in hunter x hunter the phantom rogue movie we find out that the original #4 spider member was a man named Omokage. His nen ability allows him to make near perfect puppets of people and they can use the same nen abilities as those of the original people

I would've wanted to see how the elites of the Phantom Troupe would fair against the stronger Ants. Too bad, they were only matched with the small fries
I wanted to see Hisoka fight the ants.
The "small fries" gave the strongest spiders a ton of trouble. The royal guard would destroy one shot them each
@@Prinxce3_ Idk about all that when you look back at the episode when they started to get serious and used nen ability they wreck the china ants in one attacked wasn't much of a challenge.

Fights aren't just about who has more raw power. The battles have the ability to go any way. Remember, Kite was missing an arm, yet was still able to fight Pitou, and make it enjoyable enough for her to want to bring him back to life so much that she created a healing nen ability specifically for that goal. And we don't even know whether the nen ability Kite rolled against Pitou was made for fighting, since Ging mentions later in the series that there's a nen ability Kite rolls to not die in a dangerous situation(if it's something like a reincarnation nen ability, then it isn't for fighting). Pitou's injuries after fighting Kite weren't shown to be as prominent in the anime as they were in the manga at the end of chapter 199, in which she was shown to have multiple cuts. Right before the start of the invasion Morel said that his own physical and mental conditions were 35 out of 100, yet he still survived against Pouf 1 vs 1, while being inside of the smoke and after deactivating it. Pouf even said that Morel had a chance of killing him, if he searched for Pouf inside of the cocoon, instead of deactivating his smoke(chapter 286). Youpi almost lost his nen to Knuckle's nen ability. The narrator said that he was minutes, if not seconds, away from losing his nen. And Youpi never fought all of his opponents during the invasion at once. Most of the time he fought from 1 to 3 characters(counting Meleoron) at the same time. Shoot was able to keep up with Youpi 1 vs 1 for a while. And in the chapter 106 of the hxh manga, the narrator said that every member of the Phantom Troupe has at least one nen ability that the other members don't know about. Also, Kurapika created 5 different nen abilities during the 6 months he was learning nen. The Phantom Troupe members have all known nen for much longer than 6 months, so there's a chance we haven't seen all of their nen abilities. Chrollo has a book full of nen abilities.

My favorites is Machi and Feitan (and Chrollo of course haha). HxH is amazing, i love everything in this anime
Chrollo deserves to be the head of the spider. He is well-loved and respected by the members/family.
It's canon according to a Togashi interview that he didn't choose to be leader, but that they all wanted him to be, so he just accepted it. It was mentioned because Togashi was talking about how Chrollo is somebody who can go with the flow very well, which he respects.

@@rishadhossain3581 The fact that he defeated one of the main antagonist in the series says a lot how powerful Chrollo is. He fought evenly with 2 Zoldycks and Zeno said that 1 vs 1, if Chrollo is serious, it will be a different story. Overall, he deserves to be the head of the spider: calm and collected yet full of power if unlocked.
He is weak compared to meruem and royal guards. Meruem would destroy the troupe under a minute

Actually Kortopi and Shalnark died instantly because their nen Abilities are in Chrollo those times
The most impressive thing about hunter is Togashi's constant use of world building, both through his characters, magic sistem, story-arcs and even simple architecture and physical character quirks. The sheer variety in character backgrounds, represented in their apperance and speech, really helps sell this idea of a huge and dangerous world filled to the brim with surprise and unexpected adventure fodder. I'm always impressed by my newfound abbility to tell where a character might be from despite never getting any real details on either the geography or overall political and cultural state of the world. Not commiting to a set idea of "this country's people are like this" or "this is bassicaly a middle-east analogue" really helps the reader's imagination fllow in to fill the blanks. There's always something new in hunter and that's why i, and many others, love it so much.
I think the Phantom Troupe is really interesting and if we get more chapters I hope we get to see more of them
Pakunoda was surely my fave from the team when I was a child. Sacrificing herself for the team, makes her the team's strongest member. RIP Pakunoda. 💗
It’s crazy just thinking chrollo doesn’t care if he dies and cares more about the phantom troupe than anything and he thinks of himself as only part of the spider. This is why he is one of my favorite characters even though he is one of the antagonist.

I have not yet seen the new manga's chapters. They told me there was a lot of Genei Ryodan's lore! I suppose, once it's done, I would need to do an "All Phantom Troupe Members 2.0" video
Jup, you get a lot of their back stories.
For example: Chrolo was a genius, already as a kid.
Phinks, Feitang and Shalnark seemed to be at the founding meeting. Also a strong portion of the main troupe grew up together - which makes their real motives to get revenge for killed members shine far brighter.

The original member of #4 in the Phantom Troupe was a puppeteer named Omokage. Omokage used his nen into puppets. He is only seen in the Phantom Rouge movie. I'm not sure about Shizuku replacing #8 though, I tried researching and couldn't find anything.

It’d be cool to see his okay use his hatsu more widely. He always does more simple tricks or goals with them but what if he used his nen to stick all the puppets to the floor or ceiling so none could explode on him? Or cover himself in a thick layer of his own nen and use it more traditionally but with the twist of it also having the defensive benefits of its elasticity for better defense. Idk it’d just be cool to see him use it more grandly or powerfully

Hisoka is a great killer but against the troops he will have no chance. I believe that bcuz he is on the whale ship, he will seek help from others (maybe even from Kurapika) but I still think he will not be able to kill them. Maybe Shizuku but if you are accompanied, then no.

The name of #4 member of Phantom Hang is Homokage replced by Hisoka, his power is puppets he can manipulate puppets like Sasori, before he can do that he must take am eyes and put in puppet. He appeared in Hunter X Hunter : Phantom Troupe

I don't think Hisoka has desire to kill the Phantom Troupe members. I believe he only kills Kortopi and Shalnark so that Chrollo would not be able to use their ability the next time they fight since their abilities were the one used in defeating Hisoka in that death match. Also, I want to see Nobunaga and Machi's full ability in a fight.

You forgot that Deme-chan can't suck living things. You can see that after Uvogins fight with the shadow creatures. Shizuku explained him that she cannot remove the leech out of his body because they are alive.
Isn't anyone gonna talk about the massive plot twist that's gonna go down when ilumi finally decides to give hisoka some whooping, when the latter is still on his quest to erase the phantom troupe.

Bonolenov, Uvogin and Feitan is actually strong in my opinion, most people know why Uvogin is strong so I don't need to say anything about him, but for Feitan, his fight with that purple lady was showed how much badass he can be, his nen ability is strong as hell beside Bonolenov he can literally summon a sun while Bonolenov can summon a Jupiter lmao, both should not be underestimate
