You're going to find that you know a lot of Queen songs.
This is played at sporting events, everywhere. Along with 'We are the champions ', another big hit from them. That everyone knows
Brian May wrote this so yes it is a Queen song released in 1977. Queen wrote a lot of iconic songs and anthems,
This song is played at every sporting event, stomp stomp clap😂😂
“We Will Rock You” was written by Queen guitarist Brian May and was released as a Double-A-Single with “We Are the Champions”(written By Freddie Mercury". .It became one of Queen’s biggest songs worldwide and a staple of arena and stadium sports everywhere.
It was a conscious decision by Brianto to make the song simple and anthemic (“stomp, stomp, clap, pause” twice per 4/4 measure), to get their live audiences more involved in their shows.
That’s the way I remember the song, going straight into We Are The Champions, and the way I like to hear it. So nostalgic ❤️
You have to react to their 20 min performance at Live Aid. Easily their most popular concert. Def a must watch for any new Queen fan!
1977, a song I heard everywhere when I was 10 years old 😍
I bought the vinyl when it came out. I was 14. I still have it. Im 60 now.💃
This is what we stomped in the stands for every football and basketball games
This video was uploaded in ‘97. The song was released in the 80s, early 80s I believe.
1977
@@timetravellingone OK. I remember hearing it for the first time around 80-81 but wasn’t sure of release date.
I saw them live so many times... LA FORUM... outside of the concert this was playing loud... everyone was pounding on car tops to this song
They also wrote:
“We Are The Champions” - Which is ALWAYS heard at sporting events, of course!
“We Will Rock You” is actually quite short because in live shows, it was always played right before “Champions”/the two songs were played together.
YOU SHOULD HEAR THESE LIVE…
An excellent live performance of the two songs together, is at:
MONTREAL in 1981
…You just have to be sure to pick a video that shows BOTH titles together:
“We Will Rock You”/“We Are The Champions”
Oh for heaven's sake! Just listen to the damn song!
1976 - 47 years ago
Brian May wrote the song inspired by audience response (they sang a football anthem to Queen at the end ot the gig) in a 1977 gig (Bingley hall, Midlands) He explains: "That night audience sang everything guite deafeningly, you can hardly hear yourself play. We were really knocked out, it was quite an emotional experience. You have to understand that those days the audience didn't sing along. They sat or stood and listened or perhaps banging their heads.
So I went home from that gig thinking what the crowd could do packed in a small space. They can clap their hands, stomp their feet and also they can sing. I woke up the next morning with a song in my head.😮 And the rest is history..."
You have to check out Freddie singing with Opera great Montserat Cabelle. How do i go on will blow you away!
We Are the Champions, and Another one Bites the Dust, Under Pressure as well...🙂
More surprises? In each championship, no matter the sport, you have heard "We are the champions."
How can I go on, goosebumps
you just got Queened
The movie you are probably thinking of is A Knight's Tale with Heath Ledger. Seen is universal
Hell, Yeah, Shama.. this usually goes along with "We are the Champions"... this was filmed in drummer Roger's garden... along with another great one "Spread your Wings".. story goes that Freddie got drunk and puked in Roger's hedges.. and also, had to borrow gloves from one of the roadies b/c it was so cold.... (and Brian didn't use his famous "red special" guitar b/c he was worried about exposing it to the cold... he built it with the help of this DAD when he was 17-18 yrs. old) .. You've heard this a million times.. particularly at sporting events... lol... p.s. also used in "Knight's tale" as well...ruclips.net/video/0Hi8IWqic0U/видео.html
Watch the movie Bohemian Rapsody. The making of this song is featured in that movie.
This song came out the same year that Elvis Presley died, actually. And apparently Freddie was a big Elvis Presley fan, though I don't think he was particularly inspired by Elvis's style. Just his music.
That beard is blessed by the gods
1977
For god sake just listen
You know this song from sporting events. and it was released in 1977
Dodgeball was the movie my friend with Ben Stiller and this song
Do you spend 3 minutes every video scrolling on your phone because you can't remember where you heard the song?
