Tbh i kinda miss the less serious story Duel and the original Haunted House had (which the originalpretty much didn't have one but a basic premise). Alton Towers has more than enough grim and serious attractions, I feel as if Alton Manor is now in that group. The original Haunted House had a good balance of being scary yet funny, while Duel had more funny/goofy elements. Alton Manor has no funny moments :(
Duel has always been my favourite ride at Alton Towers since it was The Haunted House. This is the best POV I've ever seen of this ride, showing so many of the details. I love how they made a 30 out of the bricks before the Trommel tunnel! Great video 👻👻👻
I feel like this video shows more of the ride than you can appreciate when you're on it, it really shows how vast that ride actually is, great quality vid.
I never got to ride this when I went and I’m really sad that I didn’t because this looks STUNNING. Whenever the haunted house strikes back once more, I’ll definitely ride it that time!

I wasn't ever the biggest fan of Duel, but I can see the huge affiliation some people had with the ride. I do believe the time is right for a change and I'm excited to see what is next for this building.

I really hope they keep the original Prop and scenes back from 1992, they look fantastic, all they need is a repaint and fixed mechanics to be fast again.

To be fair curse is ok, the sadist this is that the removed half of the anematronics and put projectors like what the HELL, Like duel its got a better soundtrack better anematronics, and i miss shooting the blasters, i wonder where they put all the old props from duel if somone knows plz tell me lol
Danielle don’t be a shallow minded person. When originally opened in 1992 The Haunted House had no guns. The ride was vastly superior before the Duel retheme of 2003. You’ll be flabbergasted by how immersive and highly themed Alton Manor will be. I know some people find change scary but the ride will rival The Haunted Mansions/Phantom Manor at the Disney Theme Parks. John Wardley the creator behind the Haunted House of 1992 is refurbishing the ride. It’ll be scarier and tell a story. Yes the Zombies have been removed but some of the original scenes from 1992 will still remain. Stop being a child and wishing that Alton Towers demolish one of the best rides in the world due to the lack of guns. At least give Alton Towers the benefit of the doubt and ride Alton Manor before hating it.

Actually it was dr nicholas roodyn researching reanimation of the dead until he suddenly dissapeared, then zombies were drawn to his house

Agree, the blasters made the ride, now by removing the blasters they have broke the ride so now they have to blast it literally as in demolish it.

They were playing the soundtrack on the path leading up to Sub Terror on opening day but then on the Sunday they'd changed it to the new sountrack.
