This wasn't an officially recorded gig, but Kasey knew that she'd done something pretty special, so she asked her fans to share any footage that they might have taken, and the video was made from that. When she climbs the peak of "success-is-my-only-mutha-fuckin'-option, failure's NOT!", I get chills every time.

Completely wrong........but only people who understand what music and INSTRUMENTS are ......NOT studio fake music and computer generated crap....GET THIS.....Easy to see you cannot play an instrument or even knows what a slide guitar is.....
There are covers of this song by famous artists, but they are pale against this performance of Kasey Chambers. She slayed it out of the ball park.❤

Totally agree. She gave me vibes of Janis and her rawness. It was a powerful, ethereal rendition of a rap song. The lyrics are amazing by Eminem. Such a brilliant writer. She gave it her all in her own way. Blew me away. WOW.

Kasey is from Mt Gambier in South Australia.. She began singing in her parents band when she was a young girl. They were pretty good and toured around playing. She then went solo and had a break out single "Captain" which was played on radio and even her album did well. She was then snubbed by mainstream a little due to her style and genre and she wrote a song "Pretty enough" to address that issue. She is well known in the Country/folk space in Australia and USA and has been for like 20-25 years.
This was an absolutely stunning performance and she truly made the song her own with the stylistic choice. That was her dad on the lead guitar. 💜🇦🇺

Word is, its on Kasey's streaming channels so she must have got clearance from Eminem's management. I'm guessing he thought it was somewhere in the ballpark of what he intended....till she smacked it.❤

Kasey is the winner of many awards and accolades for her work, releasing 12 studio albums and hit singles; her song Not Pretty Enough is a commentary on the reluctance of commercial radio stations towards playing her music, even though she was hugely popular and the youngest person to be included in the Australian Recording Industry Association(ARIA) Hall of Fame.

Kasey is an Australian county singer who comes from a family of muso's. She loves Eminem.
Totally think she was paying homage to Eminem. This isn't Kasey Chambers typical, so to speak, but she delivered the story. Eminem's Lose Yourself was massive for its immaculate flow and how relatable the message was and still is. Kasey sang it with the emotion and power that piece deserved. Different but with the same excellence the piece commands.
Kasey is an Australian artist, I am certain that this was performed later than June. Australian’s always put the day then the month then the year when writing dates, where Americans put the month first.
Kasey is (in the US) alt/country. She's almost a contemporary of Eminem, 4 years younger than him, may have been in the biz longer (sang with the family band when still under 18). Suggest you listen to Am I Not Pretty Enough (2001....Lose Yourself came out 2002), Ain't No Little Girl, maybe The Captain. Live versions if possible.
