effortlessly is the key word here. It means his voice is always in shape and ready. Push a bit once in a while and your voice will deteriorate miserably. Effortlessness is the hardest thing to achieve in any skill, let alone vocal

It's something those people will never forget in their lives and it's a game changer for the way that they approach everyday going forward. Rock on!

Lexii and I go way back. We were in her first touring band together from 2014-2016. Great person, we had the best of times and best friends. Loved playing onstage with her night after night
I am probably as far from a metal fan as it gets... but when Steel Panther comes to town I'm the first in line to get a ticket! This band is all about what it's REALLY like to love what you do.
Yeah...she was having problems with knowing where she was on the fretboard at times and certainly not used to the action but overall she saved it and no one probably really noticed or cared other then those like us who have been playing this stuff since before we were her age and cringe a little when we hear mistakes.
@@whichgodofthousandsmeansno5306 I have one Floyd Rose guitar otherwise I prefer a Fender style whammy or hardtails. I would have struggled to tune the instrument. She definitely had trouble with the proper distance between fret jumps and she was over and under bending everywhere. It pays to look good and have a great smile. I found myself wanting to hear it again despite the wanderings.
@@ThinkCriticallyNow Not at all, with all the "Me Too" shit that went on in recent years, she could've gone bonkers & threw a fit, but she just rolled with it. 🤘
She messed up A LOT during the Solo parts but hey give her credit for getting on stage in front of a bunch of people. I wouldn't have the balls to do what she did so overall great job!!!!
Playing through someone else's guitar rig is like wearing somebody else's underwear. Great job Lexi. We've all been there. One time I was asked to play at a friends wedding and there was a very good show band doing the music. So I go up on stage and the guitar player hands me his guitar and I put it on and I see, much to my horror, that it has SUPER light strings and a scalloped neck when at the time I was playing 52-11 solid nickel strings. I could not even feel the strings on this weird guitar. But you smile and soldier on. Great job.
I can't understand anyone criticizing this young girl rocking out on stage with Steel Panther until they submit their video of doing so. People are such dicks. Meanwhile, she had the time of her life and the band and audience loved it. And so did I. Heck I have been in similar situations as her and as a pro understand that you recover and go on. She did exactly that.
Exactly. The people that are running their mouths are miserable dorks that have only experienced vagina on a screen. Never will they know the smell of one after 4 rounds

She's obviously fantastically talented to do what she did on the Top Gun soundtrack. But this does kind of show how being a killer session musician can be a totally different skill set than a rocker in a band. It's like a writer who writes jokes in a room for a TV show vs a stand-up comedian.
Someone being in a track doesn’t make them good. In the studio you can do it 1000 times to get it right and even then they can still piece it together. She’s mediocre at best.
I miss Lexxi Foxx because honestly he was a huge part of the Band's presence and onstage antics as well as being a good bassist. The new bassist just seems like a fill in guy with a wig
I was going to say the same thing.. To add, every guitar has a different feel. Her playing that bit alone was I imagine warming up and getting used to the guitar..
These guys were Atomic Punks...so Van Halen is their specialty.🔥 SP can basically do ANY hair metal perfectly. So freaking talented. If they wanted to be a "non comedic" band..they could easily. Big props to the guitar girl 🎸
It's hilarious how many people keep calling her a fan or saying she has a long way to go before being pro and other such things... This is the lady who played the guitar parts on the Top Gun Maverick soundtrack, lol
Yeah, sat on her ass in a studio with as many takes to get it right as needed. Different ballgame playing live with only one shot at it, and that’s why it sounded so average.
Many bands did and still does that. Check out "Foo Fighters and Kiss Guy". Pantera did that when dude from audience challenged Anselmo for highest scream. Tool recently invited Bernth to play with them. Gojira let fan to play Ouroboros on drums with them. (Only during soundcheck, but it counts IMHO) Evanescence invited young Caleb Drummer to play with them. Just a few examples that went through my head

My vocal coach said that the guy has a b1tching vocal. If you are interested I can expand on that point
Well, he was in a Van Halen tribute,
so he does DLR really well.

This band might have the best banter of any band ever. They just fuck with each other in character and it’s amazing.
