so glad you've made all of these videos for genpus seeing as i plan on doing all of these mods. Great quality videos and very informative keep it up!
Gotta love Cobb.
I'm going to get an accessport soon but I want to get the 3.5 inch intake. can I just load a map with the intake and then adjust the MAF cal?
I need this in my life
Thanks so much nice video
awesome vid
how do you set up the launch control ?
when it says turn off all electronics does that include the bsm, afs?
Will that work in a 2010 cx-7 2.3 turbo awd?
can i monitor the gages and run the accessport without tuning it? or adding an ots tune
Is the gen 1 Accessport v3 gonna fit on Gen 2?
the AP is a must if you plan on doing anything really. the OTS cobb maps are terrible but there free and a good learning exp imo. a E-tune base map with 1 revision (2010 ms3 full bolt ons 12.23@113mph on street tires) 100% recommend Nishan for a quick E-tune base map $75 and you have a whole new speed3 lol. full custom tunes of course for big hp.
ill be installing my accesport v3 this weekend! now i know what to do, thanks for the video!
and as for the shift light, it sounded like a launch control?
How do you set up 2 step?
Hello. I have installed the accessport and using stage1 91 oct map. If I change my map like to economy map, do I need a battery charger again doing it? Thanks
Battery charger is always recommended but I switch my maps while filling up with fuel no problem
Just receive my accessport sir. Having trouble installing manager on my comp.:( anyway will my dealer know if I was playing with it? Can they tell by my ecu? Better to save my stock ecu data? Is it true it is 30min to complete it? Should I download first maps before installing it to my car? Pardon me I have too much question.
for mac's its pretty straight forward. I have limited computer knowledge and i was able to install on my iMac no problem, however i'm not sure if the process is the same for pc's or not. I would highly recommend saving the stock ecu data for a number of reasons, especially if you want to get your vehicle serviced at the dealer with no worries. When i first installed the accessport in total from opening the box to being ready to drive it took less than 15 minutes, but individual results may very depending on year, make, model etc. the maps are already downloaded onto the accessport before you receive it.
how did u set up launch control ? please answer Im very curious
Some subarus have the ability to do this from the accessport itself where as us mazdaspeed guys will use the cobb website to convert a map of our choosing by selecting the FFS, LC and so on. www.cobbtuning.com/Accessport-s/70458.htm#/v/accessport/support/mazda/map-conversion
hello, i have a boost gauge on my speed3 that currently isnt working. will the accessport still read my boost level correctly?
Yes, its boost reading come from the ecu.
Can you run the accessport on s stock car with stock fuel pump?
Same question here
Hello. Its been a year now with my accesport. Do i need to upgrade maps for my 2013ms3?
I would recommend it. I would also visit the forums, contact freektune or purple drank, then thank me for the advice later.
does the access port store the maps on the car? or do you need to have the accessport on the whole time for the maps to work? ( noob question i know )
and can your remove the torque restrictions in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear?? or adjust it even?
I believe it saves the map even when the ap isn't plugged in, but why not keep it plugged in so you know what's going on at all times n_n
Are Maps pre-installed on the device straight out of the box?
Yes. They're called off the shelf tunes or OTSS
what kinda map do u intall on ur car ....on this video??
i believe i went with a stage2 at that time as that was what most accurately reflected my then current modifications.
I heard that I would still need a $500 tune if I bought this accessport for my 2010 Mazdaspeed 3. Is that true? I have catback exhaust, downpipe and short ram intake.
You should be able to use an ots map, that's what I'm running and no problems here
...so ...setting my shiftlight rpm's wil work the Same as LC?
No he probably had both set at 3000
Hello. Just bought accessport for my ms3. Mine is bone stock. Hi do you choose the right map?.can you post more video?
the accessport is preloaded with various tunes to suit your modification level. For a bone stock mazdaspeed3 I would choose either "stage 1 91" or "stage 1 93" depending on which octane of fuel you run. These maps are the ones suited for bone stock mazdaspeed3's.
slipcarefully how much HP does that increase?
Di you need a tune for this? I'm in a very remote part of Canada so.
The accessport we installed in the video is preloaded with different maps (tunes) to suit your modification level. So by installing this you are I fact changing the map or tune.
slipcarefully So meaning no needed tune from a shop or tuner? Sorry new to this kind of stuff.
tungol00 the various tunes are already loaded onto the accessport you receive so you just choose the one suited for the mods you have on your vehicle.
I just updated my access port, and cannot change my launch control. Can you help?
Same here it was working before
My little sticky thing doesn't seem to want to stick to where you have yours in the video grr
is there a program for fuel economy boost on this programmer?
Yes there is a fuel economy map, took a trip to Chicago a few weeks back and got 31mpg average with 2/3 highway and 1/3 city and 2 passengers
@@slipcarefully that is almost hard to believe.
i have a cobb turbo inlet pipe, cobb sri, corksport bypass valve, and ultimateracing turbo back. i really need this as i am getting a p2096 code..
The accessport works great for reading and clearing trouble codes
ok, thats great, i was reading the cobb site that even with changing an intake i need a tune, so when i get the ap i hope everything will be fine with my car again lol
+Lancelot Moore-Yorke your car will self tune to a certain extent. Then after more mods it will start to detune itself.
Why don't I have the adjustment tab under tune. I'm on the stage 1 93 tune. I have to re flash it every time I want to adjust the launch control rpm.
When you are in tunes section, go up to Set up, hit the select button. It will prompt you to another load out and on top is adjustments. It will prompt you again to be careful or something like that, hit okay, then you can set LC or FFS.
+dethpig420 under the setup tab in tune section it only have the option of advanced tuning settings and in there it only lets me enable and disable FFS, LC and the wastegate function
+Richard Sarabia hmmm. I believe once you do enable all of those, then adjustments should be unlocked on your tune portion of the screen. from there you should be able to set all of those as you please. I have my vehicle pro tuned via email and accessport and my tuner set up LC for me. I remember unlocking those selections then I had the extra adjustments portion added after it prompt me to be careful using the software. Good luck man I really hope this helps you.
Don't want to sound dum guys but I own a mazdaspeed3 gen2 2012 and some guy is selling me a Cobb v3 accessport he has on his mazdaspeed6 2007 will it fit is it compatible with my mazdaspeed3 gen 2 2012 by the way I'm new to these cars so please don't judge me lol
I’m still learning myself but I it has to be unmarried from his car first (not quite sure if it’ll fit the ms3 gen2 tho) or you can send it to Cobb and they can reset it and have it setup for your car(a bit pricey)
