Conveying the feeling of an exhilarating and much anticipated water voyage aboard a ship, this arrangement breaks the song out of its traditional 6/8 time signature to various alternating time signatures including 5/4 to enhance and capture the excitement of this musical journey.

the coolest thing to me is that it goes between THREE different time signatures and the song is called i saw THREE ships. pure musical genius.
Actually there is 6 different time signatures in it.
Ah but ships sail on the sea, and facing the sea is the sky, meaning that anything about the sea has to be mirrored. So on top of those three ships, there are three more. So really there are six ships. And since there are six different time signatures, and the piano is in the shape of a triange, I guess... Illuminati confirmed.

Not only did Mr. Radnich arrange a seemingly-bland piece in a ridiculously amazing way, but he did so largely in 5/4. Incredible....

@@everythingsalright1121 The original melody for I Saw Three Ships is in 6/4 (for example, at 0:05). However, Jarrod Radnich rewrites the rhythm in 5/4 instead (for example, at 0:33).

I've been hitting replay over and over again today. I love the crispness of the medley shining through all the colorful virtuosic elements. The Mason & Hamlin sounds incredible.
