I just bought one of these for my 29th birthday! God, I'm in love. I got the black-out headlights and black 17" wheels. Also got the racing tail lights. I love this car!
I have owned this car since 2013 as well, 2013 Ralleye 1.4 turbo liter in 6speed manual transmission. I have intensively used this vehicle and drove all over the US with it. PROS: super fun to drive, nice looking seats, good amount of space, very good MPG rating, and looks great. That's where it ends. CONS: the infotainment is garage, takes forever to connect with bluetooth on even the latest phones, the AC knob is straight ahead of the shifter, and if you even slightly touch it, it will turn on. Not pushing it in, but literally just gently it going to the left or right activates it, none of the push knob in and then twist, which causes the AC to turn on when not needed, more annoying that it sounds. Infotainment center will literally freeze and stop working if you connect an iPhone via the USB. Interior lights refuse to come on 2 years in of purchase date. Gearbox shift knob is connected to each gear using something that looks like a literal paperchip! This unfortunately broke and made the car unuseable until it was fixed, Dodge customer service was unhelpful on fixing this issue. They later said it will take up to 3 months for this paperclip to be sent to their dealership. Until then I had to purchase or rent another vehicle, what kind of nonsense service even after having warranty. After giving them a piece of my mind, it got fixed in two weeks. Later, the light-up dash failed, and started getting more and more issues coming left and right. Some which happened while driving and could have been fatal. Dodge refuses to care. I would steer clear from this vehicle, and my pals who own chargers have had similar issues along with the grand caravan and Dakota I personally own. I loved Dodge, but tired of the reliability. Before fingers get pointed, no I do not abuse my vehicles or drive them like an a hole, they are pampered and have been treated like kids, which is why even today I am not selling mine, but maybe that is also due to the fact that its resale value is a peanut. I am hanging on until EVs become mass produced and cheap and then this will be retiring.
Just bought my Ralley all black fully loaded like 4 days ago and I love it. I can drive for an extremely long drive in style without having to refuel :)
That's always a good question Nestor! not sure about the comment above, but I'm going to do a review on my day-to-day driver soon. (a 2001 Mercedes E320 wagon) Thanks for watching. -Greg
I purchased this car today and I love it! For the price you got a LOT for your buck. I know I know..I love the GTI and it faster and all that..but its twice the price. Its got decent room for me and it has a lot of cool factor going for it and I love the fuel economy. I traded my 15 MPG Jeep in on it..I needed a break from poor fuel economy type of vehicle...but I loved my Jeep other than that one issue. I am hoping that this will be a good quality car..Only time will tell.
I believe you are correct. I remember reading somewhere that there are like 1000's of combinations for the Dart. And the setup you name would be a cool setup. thanks for watching!
that is a good question! Frankly, stock audio has become so good that usually don't check it! That being said, I can only guess that the Dart will be "decent" just depends on how loud you want to play it...being a musician and audio junky myself, there's no replacement for a good sub! thanks for watching! (and good question) -Greg
I drive what the dealerships give me, and what they have on the lot. I also try to drive the models that I think are either of interest or likely what the public would be getting. In this case it was the latter. (also, I don't think 1.4 was available at the time) thanks for checking it out. -Greg
You're right in some respects...I'm not sure there's anything wrong with using the name. But it would have been more fitting in a rear wheel drive car for sure. thanks for watching. -Greg
Great review bro, I like your style. Very honest and thorough. Out of all the compacts I drove I like the Dodge Dart the best. It's very peppy and definitely the most fun to drive. Chrysler has come a long way since the days of the Neon and Caliber so I hope this car will be successful for them. I would definitely recommend this over the Cruze, Corolla, and Civic for sure. The interior quality is far better, and the features for the price can't be beat.
The interior blows away that of the Cruze, and Focus. This car has the most bang for your buck. If I was to buy a newer compact econobox, This would be my choice. I'm 6'4 and this thing was more comfortable for me than some SUVs! It did lack a little power but I drove the nonturbo, but this thing took corners like a champ. It's a fun car to drive for what it is. You can hear the exhaust when you get on it, but it's not overpowering. Out of all the cars in it's class, this is the way to go.
are whatever options able to be had on any trim level...from what i heard this is what makes the car so versatile...what if i wanted the base line model+ led tail lights=HID headlights+leather+1.4 +preimum sound system+6speed ddct+..to name a few
How did you like the audio in it? I like to listen to songs with a lot of bass and what not and I don't wanna install a subby in there, so what do you think?
what are you talking about??? Its a 6 speed AUTOMATIC!! Why are you assuming its a 6-speed manual and why are you some hung up on it? I was in no way trying to make it look like I was driving a manual? Why would I do that?? Either way, thanks for watching. -Greg
if you say so It's just hard for me take a car serious that us dubbed the rallye edition yet its still fwd, kinda defeats the purpose of naming it that,i'm sure the car is decent but I can't picture someone actually buying it
Why are people doing car reviews while ONLY driving? Especially wearing sunglasses into the camera. We feel like you don't care about eye contact either. We would like to see more of the car not at you driving with your hand on the shifter like its a manual wearing glasses looking at the camera feels like you don't care.

yeah, I didn't give that guy's comments much weight.
Thanks for yours though!
-Greg
I wouldn't let the numbers worry you. For 90% of your needs (or more) its likely to be just fine.
thanks for watching.
-Greg

im a little bit concerned on the power output of the base engine, 0-60 in 8.2 seconds is what i hear, how did it feel when you gave it some juice?
I didn't think it was bad. You can alway upgrade to the larger four.
thanks for watching!
-Greg
yeah, I insist on not scripting these videos...so that some "ahhhs" and "umms" are the result.
thanks for the advice and for watching! :)

Nice review!
Given your RUclips channel description I know why you write the stuff you do.
But, sorry you were confused.
-Greg

+Acuravigor47 Has nothing to do with caring, its about image. People want to look cool xD.
He tickled my left ear at the end... :S
6 speed automatic....you need to think a small amount harder.
Get your hand off the shifter making it look like your driving a manual for the review.
I like it =
its a 6 speed automatic......genius
Your a dumbass
@nestor diaz the Oscar mayer weiner truck bro
too little hp that sucks bout it
Who the hell would buy this car? I'm dead serious
get rid of the Ahhhs
When you say only "six speed", it means manual.
Next time, say "six speed automatic", FAIL.
