This trip was a whirlwind! We stayed the first night at the Hyatt Regency near O’Hare Airport! It was a super unique hotel that I’d definitely go back to before a flight since they had a shuttle to the airport the morning of when at 4am.
Galveston was also hit with the edge of tropical storm Albuerto the same day we flew in! Driving was not easy and it did change up a lot of our previous plans. We ended up doing a $16 self guided tour through Bishop House on day 1 which was one of my favorite activities of the whole trip! The house was stunning filled with lots of rich Galveston history.
We also made a pit stop at Buc-ees on the way into the island, it was my first time there and I was blown away! Once the weather cleared up, we walked the historic Strand district and got a delicious lunch at Brothers Brew! Later that night we got a drink at the beautiful Grand Galvez hotel! That is a must do for a girls trip!
One of the best activities was Schlitterbahns on our last day! My aunt surprised us with fast passes which made the day 100x more exciting! If you can add on this option, definitely do it!

Never been to Galveston. Didn’t realize it was that nice! We would like to cruise from there one day. It’s actually a little closer to us than Port Canaveral. Enjoyed the video!
