Thank you for doing an in depth review of this set, and a side by side comparison of this set's T. rex and the original/standard one. Couldn't afford this set at the time (and is unfortunately the only SDCC set I've missed since they started with Hammond in 2019), and it sold out pretty fast online too from what I saw (like the frustration with Nedry all over again I guess?). That said I do think I prefer the warmer tones of the original figure, and I think it matches better with the maquette and the actual animatronic. I get why this version's darker, but I don't think it emulates how it looked in the scene quite right.
"Dinosaurs with the glass-eye look" that's probably includes the Spinosaurus, the hybrid Indominus Rex and the Giganotosaurus.
And hopefully the indoraptor

Big improvement over the original Hammond T rex. Pretty sure Mattel will be releasing the green male rex at some point. The question is, when they finally release it, will everyone run out of Target screaming in terror when they notice the box includes an NFT code.
If they do I hope they make the necessary changes between the rexes, as the green buck was comparably bulkier (thicker neck, boxier head).
Yeah, a new sculpt would be ideal, but seeing how Mattel has a couple thousand varients of the exact same raptor sculpt, im not holding my breath lol. @@trikeonabike4949

I like the normal Hammond collection rex a lot more, but that Donald gennaro and toilet is too good to miss out on!!!

So Dino-marvelous 🤩! This Hammond Collection Tyrannosaurus Rex with rain 🌧️ effect in SDCC version far more superior paint job 🎨 than original counterpart, so Dino-marvelous 🤩! This set is so Dino-marvelous in entire my life 😄! I definitely 💯 percent can enjoy this set, i can made Rexy eat Donald Genaro so ferociously, so awesome 😊. Happy to see this super cool set, Andy 😊.
I’m satisfied with the normal HC T.rex release but this one’s good too for the completionist collectors. It probably won’t be the only release of Gennaro that we’ll see if they can make an ordinary blister card version of him to sell later like they’re doing with the other JP1 characters so far.

Very cool and I like the Rex. The only reason I'd get this is to have the Rex stand in for a bull Rex with my standard and amber collection baby rex.
I stayed up all night just to ensure I got one of these off Mattel Creations. Still waiting on it to be shipped to me though.
I was hoping it was dark grey like the promos. Not washed out brown
The first thing I thought of when I saw the teeth of the Rex, was a banana. It was mainly because of the colour and the fact that the teeth are the size of a banana (the first time I heard it, I just couldn’t get that fact out of my mind)
Gennaro should have his fedora/hat in there as well...

Very good video! I think the T-rex Hammond is of a larger scale than the human figure which is approximately 1/18.... I think the T-rex extreme chompin' is the closest scale to the human figures 1/18!

What large carnivore will be the next to get the HC treatment? Giga, Indominus, Spino, or the Bull Trex?
I heard a rumor that the IndoRaptor is coming next year, I think that’s more medium sized though
Me too and I bet the new indorapter will be more realistic than the other one we got
We also need a Hammond collection toro too because we never get a lot of it ever since Jurassic world fallen kingdom
This Jurassic Park Hammond Collection T-Rex figure would be much better with especially the shorter feet than the head (the feet 1/3 shorter than the head would be enough).
I so will want Mattel would also do in Hammond Collection :
-Jurassic World Tyrannosaurus Rex with especially the smaller and shorter feet than the head (the feet 1/3 shorter than the head), and all the scars : those on the right, on the muzzle, and those on the left especially at the level of the shoulder.
I think the suitcases and inaccurate color I thought it was a brown color but that's just me LOL
Hey Andy I need to ask you something. How do I choose what figures to buy? I'm turning 16 soon and my dad said if I buy something, he'll put in his 160 to cover what ever I purchase. What do you reccomend I buy? I was considering either the new W Dragon Spinosaurus, W Deagon Indominus, W Dragon Indoraptor, or a bunch of PNSO fugures. What do I do?
First of all, Happy early birthday! Secondly, that's a really tough choice! Personally I'd say PNSO models just because you can get a few, but if there are any W Dragon models you REALLY want, it might be best to grab one of those since they're limited edition.
