Tbh the interior looks a lot like the 2004 phantom I’ve just watched so the design is from 20 years ago. I feel like interior design has advanced more than exterior design with cars. But now luxury seems to be less about having more technology and more about the experience as too much tech can feel mentally overwhelming. I saw a video of a 1998 rolls Royce the interior seems so basic compared to a modern car but then I realise with being basic it’s easier to focus on the experience the car provides, the small touches to how buttons feel, how the air flows out of ac vents, how the seats feel etc.
I was waiting for him to start pushing open the sunroof too since everything was moving too slow🤣 The car is hella nice, I get the same enjoyment out of my little 06 civic. God is too good!
You must be shooting the piss. The RR has easily half the actually functional stuff that a modern, one trim level up from basic, car has. But hey they included a $5 umbrella, a cigarette lighter/ash tray, which is easily replaced by a bic lighter and a slightly open window, a number pad which is redundant and likely not even functional with modern smart phones and an automated hood ornamentation which is absolutely worthless. And it’s all covered in kitschy looking wood accents. Like it’s neat, but more as a time capsule of a time thankfully gone by, than anything a sane person would actually spend money on. And that’s ignoring the reliability issues ever present in cars like this. Then again, if you’ve got multi-millions of doll hairs to spend, it works great as a status symbol… An extremely ugly one at that. @@TRACKSTARRR There are couple of things you are right with and couple wrong. I agree the gesture control is a gimmick but so are most features in a luxury car- eg there are many things in the RR both then and now that you don’t need to drive but it’s there just because it’s a extra bit of tech that people pay just because it’s something different. Secondly, I know its Swartski glass but the point I was making is that the material is still better than the wooden/plastic knobs in that old RR. Also the brakes are in fact ceramic- I didn’t choose this personally but it came with the car. With regards to autonomous driving, the can steer and drive its self to keep in a lane but every so often you have to touch the wheel but you can get around this by just touching it with your knees. @@mrlebanon6055 it’s not bad for a 2008 car, but it’s a dead giveaway besides the steering wheel that it’s old as hell. The wood used, so many ash trays, seat design, and that ancient screen in the middle easily show it’s age
@@user-um3fx2vk8r thats true but u can keep the watch instead of the screen and it would look like a modern classic, same for the wood, to u it looks old but for the average person who doesnt know much about RR(such as me) it could slide as a new car using old wood to look classic which makes it look even more luxurious
It is old, it’s almost 15 years old. But most current 2022 cars are gonna look much older much faster because of their giant screens and reluctance to use wood. Natural materials (wood) are timeless, and thus look modern forever. It is quite pillowy looking, but I think that’s just RR design language. As for screens, they go completely obsolete in a few years no matter how well designed they are. So if you have a big infotainment screen front and center, your car will look permanently and irredeemably dated very very quickly. Only cars like this, where the screen is just an extra feature NOT a main staple of the interior, can survive the rapid advancement of car infotainment tech.

He is making the car feel something special
I guess it looks actually pretty modern for it’s time!
I know it’s supposed to look classic but it also feels old. This one is gonna be a no for me.
When it comes to RR old is gold.
Dude how does it look old to you? My reaction was the opposite, I had to recheck 4 times that its a 2008 cause it looks like a 2018 to me, maybe you see alot of RRs
Looks like all the things I don’t need!
bro called us poor in every existing language
