This tutorial video is without a doubt the MOST comprehensive and thorough video I have ever seen on RUclips on the subject of using shortcut keys. I have only one question. This pertains to Photoshop, specifically PS 2024. I just got PS CC 2024 and suddenly feel like I have gone back 15 years in my knowledge of Photoshop. My question: How does one go backward in "history states" in PSCS6 (basically multiple UNdo's). I have always used; CMD+Option+Z but this doesn't seem to work in PS 2024. (I work in a iMac, running Mac OS Sonoma). I checked Photoshop "Settings" but didn't find anything specific to my question. Your advise would be extremely appreciated.
Cmd-Z will continue to move you backward in your history state. To redo, use Shift-Cmd-Z. Let me know if that solves it for you.
@@nuclylearn Thanks for the reply Nucly but Cmd-Z simply performs "Undo" and if pressed again, a "Redo". This shortcut (in PS 25.5.1) does not move backwards in the history state. I discovered (basically by accident) that after navigating (in Photoshop) to: Edit > Keyboard shortcuts > Applications Menus (a tab) > there is an option to choose "Use Legacy Undo Shortcuts". I checked this box. As far as I see, this seems to allow me to use CMD+Option+Z that results in moving backwards in the History state. (But I am having problems with other things in this version of PS which I am going to have to take up with Adobe Support. I am beginning to hate technology. Seems like all I'm doing lately is spending time troubleshooting tech problems..........and 99% of the time I'm finding that it's not something I am doing wrong but rather because of some goofy changes and/or some bug that Apple or other developers have created).
Very thorough. Thank you. I could not find the pdf in the description. Do you have it on your website?
If you follow the first link, you'll be prompted to put in your email. From there, you'll get an email with login detail to the Nucly library, where you can download the PDFs.
@@nuclylearn . I am sorry but I don't see a link anywhere on the page. Usually, there either notes or a down arrow to expand your notes. I do not see it anywhere.
@@stephencampbell7395 I responded to your email.
@@nuclylearn Thank you very much. I am all set. Appreciate your prompt follow up.
