  • What do you make with chestnuts when there are a lot of chestnuts?
    Do you have times when you are worried?

    I prefer to eat it with chestnuts.
    With a little soy sauce, it is sweet and slightly salty, so it is good as a snack.
    It can also be eaten as a side dish.
    [Ingredients for braised chestnuts]
    About 650g of peeled chestnuts
    500ml water (about two and a half cups in a paper cup)
    About 210g of sugar (about 1 and a half cups in a paper cup)
    1 tbsp brewed soy sauce (optional)
    1 tbsp sake (optional)
    black sesame
    If you add soy sauce, salty taste is added, making it more delicious.
    (You can omit it depending on your preference.)
    ★ The ratio of water to sugar when cooking ★
    I made the boiled water about 2:1 between water and sugar.
    When it boils down, it's very sweet.
    If you like sweetness very much, you can make it 1:1 with water and sugar.
    If you want it less sweet, you can add half of it.
    The more sugar you put in, the longer the storage period.
    If you have less sugar, it's better to eat it as soon as possible.
    [How to make braised chestnuts]
    1. Boil chestnuts.
    2. When cooked, drain the water and wash the chestnuts once.
    3. Pour chestnuts, water, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, water and sugar in a ratio of 2:1 and bring to a boil.
    4. When it is almost done, add 1 tablespoon of sake and stir gently.
    5. Done.
    [Caution for stewed chestnuts]
    If you boil it for too long, the chestnuts will crumble a lot, and the taste will be less as it is soft.
    If you stir a lot while cooking, the chestnuts will crumble a lot.
    Adjust the boiling time and cooking time according to the size of chestnuts and the texture you prefer.
