I'm sick of these psychologists only blaming this phenomenon on men, especially when they claim most women want emotionally-available guys, and most men can't meet that standard. That's nonsense. Most women I know or see are with the exact opposite of that, or they're dating other women. When I was single, I talked to multiple woman who openly admitted they liked and were seeking emotionally unavailable men. It's an ego thing. They want to feel like they are hot/good enough to change someone who doesn't care about them. On top of this, their backup policy is that it's not their fault if it doesn't work out, preventing any need for accountability in the relationship. A lot of women realize this fallacy and a lot never will, but the ones who never move on are a big reason why we're in the mess we are in today. Essentially, a small subset of men who care about nothing but wealth and status and put in 100% of their focus into acquiring it get compensated with a free merry-go-round of women that they have no obligation to commit to and the women ultimately pass the scorn off onto everyone else they encounter afterwards. It's weird to see how things have come full circle to the point where it's become apparent as to why traditional societies valued and enforced monogamy heavily, it was to prevent the social breakdown we have today.

Yea I’m 32 and I tried to be like all the other dudes trying to find someone to marry and have kids with. Then the pandemic happened and I had a lot of time with myself to sit and think about where I was in life and wtf I was doing. Like why am I spending all this money trying to impress these superficial women. Getting into relationships where we do nothing but argue. So I just stopped and embraced being single and I have never been happier.
I live by myself in a nice little apartment with my dog and cat, hang out with friends and family on some weekends and I have flings, not relationships. I also stopped drinking. This is most certainly the best way to live. I save so much more money when I’m not out trying to impress people all the time.

The chance is about 1:450.000.000 if all polls were equal but actually polls are targeted more in heavily populated areas due to ease of access, so if that's not you, your chances just drastically decreased again. Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's bs.

Men can be thrown in jail for not paying child support, while women have zero obligation to spend said child support and can use it as personal piggy bank. Men get “joint” custody which really means 4-6 days a month you can see your kids. Child support is based on combined income so if the man makes a lot more, he will have to spend a huge chunk of his salary towards child support/alimony and women are not obligated to spend any of that on the kids so long as child protection services is not involved

Since graduating college, the dating scene in the REAL world is tough. Everybody just wants to play a game with you rather admitting their actual intentions. 23 yr old guy here. My friends are either super single (meaning they don’t want a gf and are not searching), chasing tail (wanting no commitment but wanting sex), or already married with children. Only a few are simply “dating”. Most are in the first category, as western women make us not want to even date them so we’re sitting around waiting for the non-social media addicted 10/10 that will never come (hah ykwim)

Im 24. Last time I dated someone was 1 year after high school at 19. Traumatic experience like im pretty sure all you young men have experienced. Cheating and all the heartbreak and confusion that follows. I have yet to even think of dating since I've been focused on my job at Amazon and my 3 pets. I have my car and my family that I visit almost daily. I have learned how to fish way more in depth and now use spinning and fly rods and have fished over 40 locations throught Northern California. I was already bilingual in Spanish and English, but have learned French, German, and Russian languages. I have grown closer to GOD the creator. I have traveled to other states and countries. I don't hate anyone, don't feels jealous towards anyone. I have my family, my dogs, and most importantly, my sane self. I'm happy now compared to what a young woman made me go through. As a man, Im unsure if I want to go through with that.. well at least for now. I do want kids and a wife together as a family but it feels tough in these times of the internet. Everyone chases their own self interests more and more but forgets the humans beside them. I hope nothing but good things for all the men out there. The right woman is out there somewhere. At the end of the day I haven't dated or seen anyone since 20. Im simple. I like to fish, travel, experience all the culture and history of this beautiful world. The birds, trees, rocks all amuse me. I have no time for the darkness the world offers at this moment. Its the uncertainty that gets me no matter how charming or beautiful of a woman there happens to be. Cheers to everyone out there living and dead. God bless you all and you are loved by me, no matter the imperfections. I do believe the world needs more acts of kindness and more love throughout the world. All of you are in my prayers, especially the men and women (young and old) that are forgotten about on this Earth. Time waits for no one and we all grow old. Standards are much higher, privacy is much lower and people are generally more jaded. This isn’t even taking into account the disappearance of shared public spaces and how hostile the culture has become to men attempting to talk to women.
Previous generations tended to live and stay almost exclusively within the same town their entire youths and never really meet many people outside of it. When your standard for men is what you see in your day to day life and not social media, it’s much easier for people to get together. Especially if your only options are within your immediate vicinity and you have nothing to compare them to. It’s not an exaggeration to say that it was easy to such an extent that *not* being in some form of a relationship was an outlier.
Contrast that to the fact that in the modern day it is rarer for a young man to be in a relationship than not, and you can tell just how much better previous generations had it in terms of dating.

Tinder specifically fudges the numbers. They have a specific interest in *not* matching you so that you can keep swiping and using their app. It also doesn’t help that there’s more men than women on there. Another thing is that women who use the app are either doing it to get validation through matches and have no intention to follow through on dates, or are just looking for rich dudes to pay for their clothes/food/travel etc. The only people actually going on Tinder dates are exceedingly attractive men (9/10, 10/10) or ultra rich dudes being used as ATMs with dicks.

I think it depends how you want to look at this. As a 26 year old most of my friends are single just because they don’t see the point of a relationship right now. They rather focus on work, travel, and having fun before settling down in their 30’s or 40’s.

Work for yourself or work remotely. And get a place very close to your kid's school. Men can never count on the court system to recognize their value. So your best bet to spend as much time as possible with your kid is to make it convenient for the mom to rely on you. The best years of my life were when my ex decided she wasn't interested in mothering, and I ended up with my kid 80%+ of the time

Honestly man, I'm 21, 22 in a month. I'm not scared to die, I like to do dangerous shit. But my problem is I'm scared to die after 40 years of working with no relationships. I mean I've worked everyday since I was 15, and already in the last 7 years of my life everyday I got off work, I'd just smoke weed or drink some strong alcohol until I dropped. Wake up 4 hours later, and either head off to school, then to work. Or now just sleep 4 hours, then head off to work a 10 or 12. My jobs been pretty dangerous, but I'm not worried about that danger, even tho for most of the jobs if I we're to get hurt I'd also be fired because I smoke on the weekends, so I'd really be screwed. But still that's not what worries me.
I'm just worried to do this job I have never enjoyed for 40 more years, and just die. Never experiencing cool dangerous shit, or frankly who knows by that time buying a house might not even be a feasible option with ow the economies going, as it stands my dad has to make 3 times as much as his dad to have the same quality of life they had in the 80s. And I can confidently say I don't think I could ever make 3 times what my dad makes, and that's not even accounting for inflation. Like I'm really just worried about doing all this work for so long, and getting really nothing out of it except death.
