- Cowboy Lyle Glass passed away June 25th. Lyle will be missed. We’ll remember him for his warm spirit, gentle ways, 45 years of service to the visitors of the Badlands and his unyielding love for Medora.
I can't think of Medora with out thinking of Cowboy Lyle. He was as much a part of the Medora experience as the badlands themselves. From years and years ago giving time to my children when we visited Medora, to lately when Lyle gave time to me when we roamed the badlands with our cameras, I experienced his generosity. Lyle. A true gentleman cowboy with a heart of gold. Sure miss you, Lyle. May you rest in peace.
It was so wonderful what he did there for Medora and the Musical. We have been out there almost every year, and he truly was the icon of Medora.....he will be greatly missed. Ride the skies, Cowboy Lyle.......
This is so hard to believe that it's reality. My grandma and grandpa knew him and they were pretty good friends with him. My cousins would see him whenever they went through Medora since they live on a ranch near Sentinel Butte. This will definitely be a tough loss for my family.
It was an honor to be by his side greeting guests at the Musical and I will miss him very much. But, I Marshall Thomas Pinkerton will continue to greet guests and carry on his Legecy onward
this hit quite close to home as I work for the foundation and saw Cowboy Lyle almost every day. Thanks for the wonderful tribute.
He will be greatly missed, we loved seeing him at the shows and around town. RIP "Cowboy" Lyle.
