Thank you so much sir. Philippines is an archipelago, which means that we are 7,600+ islands big and small. So our culture too is diverse and same goes with our cuisine, which is a combination of Spanish, Chinese, Malay and other indigenous groups or ethnicity, and some Filipino adaptations or versions of Western cuisine. Thank you.
I always tell myself when I travel to different countries: Travel with open heart and open mind. Appreciate other cultures by not comparing them to yours.
One of my favourite things when visiting Philippines was walking around Manila and seeing the authentic and challenging life. I just loved the city but most importantly the people.
Worth the wait, was wondering why you are not releasing any vlog, (who am I to ask? , just your #mudragis) But here, almost 20 minutes.. intriguing title though, hmm. Your story telling is on top, Content creator that is! very National Geographic-ee, your cinematography, sequences are just admirable. One of my favorite! Not just a mother but spectator and touching my roots, your roots! Very brave traveling around Metro Manila but I'm not surprised, you and Wil was raised that way💕 no discrimination!!! Keep on going!
Your vlogs are almost National Geographic worthy. I wish more vloggers were like you. Yours are well-thought out, sharply edited, and with highly informative texts. Many others seem to have committed to release a vlog DAILY, regardless of content, replying heavily on less discerning fanatics for viewership. In your case, less is truly more. You are my favorite vlogger and also wil. Hope I will meet you someday you are my happy pill. More travel vlogs MORE POWER TO YOU. 😊
I loved how she showed the other side of the Philippines and its not just about beautiful sceneries. People need to know what we or the government should work on and the truth that should be revealed.
boogiebudgie > Don’t be fooled. ‘Cleaning” Manila bay is not going to take a few months or a few years. The bay has been so toxic for a hundred years that it would take 10,000 years for it to be fully cleaned and pristine. That is of course if no further pollutants are introduced. Especially toxic and waste material from the pasig river
boogiebudgie > you’re an idiot. I didn’t call you a fool, dummy. But really I should have called you a stupid fool. Now go back to school and learn English properly. Don’t waste my time again.
I love when you do this "style". Where is feels like an episode of a documentary TV show. Something you'd see on Nat Geo or Food Network. This Daso the Explorer vibe works so perfectly for you. And it fits what I love to do myself in places I am visiting. Just go walk and explore.
Thank you for amplifying the plight of half of the Filipino population. Your vlog keep people informed, aware, and mindful of the Filipinos' daily struggle and keep our lives in perspective. 'hopefully the government and NGO's and individuals together can help. Keep it coming girl. Your doing a good job.
Haley, I admire you for having the courage to go around into an unknown neighborhood alone. Your youtube content is becoming more interesting and worth watching. I still remember way back how shy you are to even say "hello" on your brother's vlogging cam. Now, you just go around and talk to random people and share their stories. You are amazing!
IMHO, This is so far the best content you made. I also like the flow of the story and the narration of what you have to say. It is _fresh_ and _real_ and I believe it will remain that way. I actually re-watched it. More power Haley!! keep it up.
Had to admit that living in Manila isnt as good as the other cities in Asia/world...But theres this vibe in Manila that you cant explain, something good you wont find anywhere! Nice content Haley!⭐👍🏻🤘
Hope for a better Manila, I'm sure Yorme Isko will transform it into Makati or Singapore, and also hope the people of Manila would discipline themselves for the good future.
This video opened my eyes a lot about Manila. I was in Manila in June for about 3 days and like you, found it crowded, congested and chaotic. It didn't help that my phone was stolen during that brief visit. But seeing the way of life in Manila is eye opening and moving. Also want to say thank you Haley for what you put out for us all. Having recently discovered your channel, I'm liking what I'm seeing on here and am getting inspired to immerse myself to different cultures and visit other countries. Looking forward to what's ahead.
I’ve only just stumbled upon your vlogs and watched four of them already. I am hooked! I love your content and how you show them. I am going to binge watch now. ♥️
Hi Haley your vlogs are really enjoyable to watch. I was born and raised in Manila and lived in Hong Kong and Sydney since I was 5 years old, so I got homesick watching this. You inspire me to travel and explore new neighbourhoods solo. Please keep posting more vlogs, from a fellow vlogger fan 🤗
Im here right now for vacation (Pasay City). Same. I walk and explore the streets. I love street food and vendors. Filipinos are rich in family and culture.
Full confession, been a few years since I've watched anything Dasovitch. It was a little kiddie for me, but this is not that at all. This is top notch stuff.
You've done a good research there.......Grew up in Manila but now living in TX,USA......but there's no place like home...I will keep coming back....and watching this makes me feel absolutely homesick. Just like the song, "Manila, Manila....I keep on coming back to you Manila".....Can't wait to be with you again
One of your better vlogs kiddo! It was different from your others. I loved it! We will likely be relocating to philippines in a few years so I love seeings these daily life vlogs. FYI I haven't nor will I ever ate ballot!
Haley Dasovich hard pass but my 5yr old niece loves them. Oh get this she started vlogging because of you!!! Well she heard you can make money and she's pretty like Haley so this happen!! ruclips.net/video/QHLqky34AVs/видео.html
I watch ur vlog all the time and I like how u delivered all the information. I also love the editing.. Anyways, I was in Manila before, it was crazy and busy city for sure! But just like u mentioned “Just like books gotta read more into it or dig deeper” Manila might be busy and crazy but there are so much people that work hard morning and night 🙂 Even though, they only make just little salary every month. They remain positive everyday of their life, and they always smile and joke around whenever u talk to them. Life should be like that - living simple as much as possible and find happiness despite of everything going on. Sure do I miss the Philippines! I cant wait to make vlog in our hometown when I go visit again. Thanks for sharing this beautiful vlog..
Thanks for the honesty, all over the world big cities always have the worst problems of traffic congestion, air pollution and poverty, but i know that you are there for the experience.
The analogy of a "library full" was an adept way of putting it. I just picked this little tidbit..."Where there is food, people gather..." I hadn't taken the time to sit down to look at this until today, so this isn't really too timely. You're sharing and teaching... I know I've said this before, but this is the thing that I value the most in seeing your work (I suppose it's the teacher in me that looks for others who teach in their own ways). What I have seen so far is an individual who shares through self effacing experience...walking through neighborhoods and simply talking with others. This is an encouragement for anyone to get out and dive in. I recall my first experience with balut... coming back from our honeymoon almost 20 years ago, we ended up having a party in the front yard of a family home in Davao. My mother in law heard the honk of a "balut boy's" bike horn and rushed out to the street to flag him down. She got me my first balut and said it would help us to get her a grandchild. I had one of the kids in the family run down to the local sari sari store to get a liter of ice cold Coke. I had about 20 family members cheer me on as I timidly finished it and washed it down by chugging the entire liter of Coke. I have only had it once since then. Perhaps, I'll try another one since you did. Again... nice job. Keep on keeping on!
I seldom watch your vlog Haley, I chance upon this episode today and It was surprisingly good, very well researched. I hope you get to do more of this kind of vlog.
Metro manila is my top favourite, next is Amsterdams, Bangkok, Sydney and Rome. Metro Manila has everything that you don't see and feel from other popular city.
Been following you since day 1, yes, like i may be your first 10 followers😅 and this is my first time to comment haha love everything about this vlog Haley! ❤️ Love your adventurous spirit thanks for inspiring us to travel and create!
I'm a FilAm born & raised in Cali. I've traveled the world and lived in 4 countries. I spent years in the PI as well. That being said, I have to say that this is one of my favorite vlogs of Manila. I also spent a lot of time doing solo trips and exploring. Almost to the point that i had seen and experienced more of Manila than some natives have. Everyone and every vlogger only focuses on the tourist spots or whats trending. When they try to vlog something else like Manila, it comes off a comedic, or in a negative or judgmental way. Whether intentional or not. I was really able to relate to your vlog style. Its was real and brought back a lot of good memories! Thank you from a new subscriber and follower on instagram!
I have watched your vlogs from day one and WoW your vlogging is Pro now, so proud of you I feel like I was on the journey with you, keep going and I will still follow you on RUclips Haley. great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Interesting looking city with all the little alley ways full of life... I want to check out Manila for myself sometime. There's something alluring about visiting a spot off the tourist trail
Have you had a chance? I've been to Manila a few times and the crime there is through the roof and some parts you just don't want to go. Not sure how she seems to make it everyplace unscathed :P With that said you will have fun, the beset part of the Philippines is in the countryside. On Luzon (the Island Manila is on) are the Rice Terraces which is an all day bus ride away through breathtaking countryside. Baggio is the same distance but another direction, pine trees grow there, its crazy and a very clean city. a little farther north is Sagada which had rice terraces although not as big, they also have the famous Coffins hanging from a cliff. Cebu island you can swim with Whale Sharks on and on. Amazing place with 7001 islands of wonders.
I had ridden motorcycles for nearly 40 years before I rented a bike to ride on Cebu Island. In the City the traffic was so terrifying I almost gave up, I finished out the city and checked out the rest of the island, was well worth it once you got away from the traffic. Hats off to you braving what you do, for a Posh gurl you got some balls.
Same here I dont like around Metro Manila because of traffic and air polution..but there's something about manila that keep you coming like looking for a job...the foods...and friends and the history of the Philippines...❤
wow! you're really talented. Very good video compositions and superb editing. Your narration doesn't detract too but enhance the viewing. One of the videos I watched from start to finish witout jumping forward.
Wow! Quality Vlog MsHaley. I love the documentary kind of vlog. I love those B-Roll, those fast cut, the background music and i love you Haley hehehe 😎❤
Manila is a great place to VISIT. LOL It is a good place for a lot of people to live. I prefer the province life but you are spot on when you say get out and walk around. People are what makes any place worth being at and Filipino people are amazing.
I'm actually visiting Philippines for the first time this Friday. And I'm South African (South Africa) born but full filipino. This vlog has really helped me understand what life looks like in Philippines. Hoping to see both you and Wil 🤞🇵🇭
i once heard a japan based traveller say, " manila is like that dark, mysterious lady w/c you know is not all that good for you, but you just can't keep coming back to her because you can't get enough of her." or something like that. i forget now :)
I've been to Manila before and the only thing I honestly don't like is the traffic and the weather. It was one sweltering experience. However, the people and the culture there are very beautiful. They offer great hospitality when they see a foreigner like me and I'd love to come back there again.
Present here, the first commentor in the live chat. I always enjoy your vlogs esp when youre with the squad. Missed you a lot please do a vlog again pleasee 💕 love lots from the queen city of the south Cebu.
I am working abroad and i just have heard this trending news regarding " white van" or "puting van" . so if ever you come across the road, please keep alert and a switch into defense mode. Google "puting van" to learn more. One more thing, the story telling is superb!! you immersed very well!! ! good job!!
by the way, the estimated total cost of income is not even the net of the employee. More often than not taxes, gov't and medical contributions are taken out every payday. so let's say the monthly wage is around 18,000 they only actually get to hold 14-16k.
Haley Haley Haley.. you’re truly coming into your own. Superb vlog girl! 👍🏽 Like Mudragis said this vlog has a very Nationalgeographieee feels to it.. documentary skillzz natural girl.. seriously you ought to vlog more often, in a consistent basis, in this type of format.. very informative and propesyonnal (professional) 😜. Keep on keepin’ on girl.. can’t wait for your next one 😘🤙🏽
Very nice video Haley, showing Manila and different cities, and you never forget how to eat "Balut" :) I remember one time when i was traveling with My Mom- to Manila from Province on a Bus,- on the bus stop- they sell Balut:) - and that's the first and last time i ate, I would like to try it again someday !! Keep the vid coming & keep up the great work, and travel safe !! Aloha- Bubba!!
Your salt farming video brought me here. I currently reside in Malta but originally from the Philippines. The title intrigued me. I lived in Manila for over 5 years.
Kudos to you Haley for braving the streets of Manila! I was born and raised in the ph but man i never thought of exploring these places alone especially the tight eskinitas. Be safe! Tapang grabe!
Stumbled upon ur vlog and i must say im looking forward to more of ur vids. I live stateside but try to at least visit the Philippines once a yr for family and also solo explorations. I've browsed dozens of other vlogs pertaining to travel in the country and all are pretty entertaining. But urs in my opinion kinda stands out from the rest coz u seem to get into the non glamorous and sometimes overlooked details that come with exploring places like manila in this video. The disparity of wealth between ur working class filipinos and the well to do class around bgc not too far from the neighborhood u visited gave it a realness that i dont usually see on other vlogs. With that said keep up the awesome work!
Haley, Manila is a city of the greater Manila (or should I say Metro Manila). Bonifacio Global City is a locale of Taguig city that is surrounded by barangays of Makati City.
Haley, how about doing what Flying Kell did and take a walking tour of a few universities in Manila: UP Diliman, Ateneo, De La Salle, UST, FEU, UE, etc.? Another historic campus is UP Los Baños where the College of Forestry is. Also go to La Mesa Dam Eco-Park and the La Mesa Nature Preserve (through a different gate all the way around the lake). On the way back, take a tour of the Quezon Memorial Circle.
@@HaleyTakesOntheWorld, omg hi! I'm from Pateros. You should try and visit during the town fiesta. It's usually held on the 2nd Sunday of February. You can participate with the Pasubo, where people throw various snacks to the crowd of Sta. Martha devotees during the procession. It's rowdy but fun 👍🏼.
I love it and I have just subscribed! I am new to vlogging and am still in the shy-ish phase. Mahirap din ah! and your bravery is commendable esp on the streets of Metro Manila SOLO. More of these kind of vlogs pls
I agree about Manila! "Manila is not for tourists, it's for EXPLORERS!". The hidden gems here are what keep it interesting for me. Let me know if you ever want to food trip around my barangay, Kapitolyo. Low key spot with TONS of top notch food (and no malls haha).

Same here I dont like around Metro Manila because of traffic and air polution..but there's something about manila that keep you coming like looking for a job...the foods...and friends and the history of the Philippines...❤
Wow. very impressive! You are such a brave girl to go around the community on your own. Amazing! True traveler. I am your subscriber now.
wow! you're really talented. Very good video compositions and superb editing. Your narration doesn't detract too but enhance the viewing. One of the videos I watched from start to finish witout jumping forward.
Wow! Quality Vlog MsHaley. I love the documentary kind of vlog. I love those B-Roll, those fast cut, the background music and i love you Haley hehehe 😎❤
i really can’t wait to travel with haley and film our trip!! 💕💯 you’re amazing!
I agree with you ,I dont like commuting within Metro Manila but I like going to the Malls 🤗🇺🇸👍. I watched until the end. Very nice vlog as always.
Wow amazing vlog! Live your life to the fullest!
i once heard a japan based traveller say, " manila is like that dark, mysterious lady w/c you know is not all that good for you, but you just can't keep coming back to her because you can't get enough of her." or something like that. i forget now :)
I've been to Manila before and the only thing I honestly don't like is the traffic and the weather. It was one sweltering experience. However, the people and the culture there are very beautiful. They offer great hospitality when they see a foreigner like me and I'd love to come back there again.
as usual haley, informative and entertaining

Actually what I was thinking. Like what was she doing lmao
Intense sir!
I love your adventurous spirit! Thank you for sharing with us 😊
Stumbled upon ur vlog and i must say im looking forward to more of ur vids.
Ryan H thank you for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Whoa. This is a good vlog. I didn't know Wil has a sister. And this video is super informative. More please.
#DGAF is back.😍😘 thank u for this haley .😘
haley! you’re the coolest! 💖😘
FYI this is not Manila... its part of METRO MANILA but not that Manila City proper...
Hayley just went to my hometown, and I'm floored. Wish I could have met her.
Jp Balibrea pateros or Pembo?! I’ll be back!
Love this vlog haley!
I agree about Manila! "Manila is not for tourists, it's for EXPLORERS!". The hidden gems here are what keep it interesting for me. Let me know if you ever want to food trip around my barangay, Kapitolyo. Low key spot with TONS of top notch food (and no malls haha).
