Thanks for your review. I ordered a 22" and it got lost in shipping. Ordered a 17" because 22's were out of stock, and have had some good cooks with it. Fried rice is easy. Breakfasts are a breeze. One down side I found was the lid, while convenient and can be used like a dome to melt cheese, steam, etc, drips condensation out the back when you open it. Also, the lid gets splatters and is not as easy to clean as the griddle surface, which is super easy compared to the iron tops. I'd still rather have it than not. Thanks, Johnny!
Hi Loren thanks so much for the feedback. That's good to know about the lid because I have not used mine enough to get the condensation. And thanks so much for watching!
You're welcome Todd. Ya I know the review was kind of in the middle but I hope it helped. I didn't want to say it's terrible but it's also def not going to do what the outdoor one can do and at that price point it really just depends how much you want that zone cooking ya know.
Thanks Johnny, going to buy my son one for Christmas, he's not the outdoor griddle / BBQ type like me and fortunately has lots of kitchen space, awesome review!! LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!
You are very welcome Kevy. I hope your son enjoys it, it's def a good alternative if he's not an outdoor type. And I'm really glad you like the channel I appreciate you watching.
Congratulations on your new purchase, I have been eagerly awaiting this one I know you said you were looking into purchasing one I think you gave a fair and honest review.
Hey Jerry thanks so much I'm really glad you like my videos. Ya I gotta keep myself busy in the winter time, so I can fire this thing up at night while I watch hockey games. Thanks for watching man.
glad i came across this very helpful thank you. I own 4 Blackstones this would would just be for indoor breakfast situations and from what you described it may be a perfect fit for my home
I'm glad it was helpful Eli. And you own four! Wow I have 3 griddles (Camp Chef, Blackstone Adventure Ready & The E series) and I thought I had a lot lol. Like I said in the video if you got the counter space then ya it can do up a good breakfast. Thanks for watching.
Your welcome. And I've seen those Robert I was wondering how they were. They looked pretty nice and way cheaper than the e-series but obviously no zone cooking.
Hello Sir, and thank you very much for your review. Can you please tell us how is the non stick effect after 2 years ? it is still non stick or it starting to fade .. Thank you in advance.
Hi, you are welcome and I hope the video was helpful. Unfortunately I did not keep the r series I sold it after about 6 months. Nothing went wrong with it I just had too many griddles and wasn't really using it. So I don't know how the non stick holds up over time. Sorry I couldn't answer the question.
Nice video! I have a 4 burner Blackstone and am in Michigan. It’s my first winter with it but I think I’ll just put on some warm clothes to use it. I love the space it offers. It’s also in my garage so I don’t have to worry about brushing off snow so hopefully that helps.
Ya I would do the same thing if I had a garage Mike. Def don't spend your money on the e series. You're just a sweatshirt and a space heater away from smash burgers all winter long! Thanks for watching.
I'm that person who is an apartment dweller and cannot have a gas griddle. I enjoy my E-series griddle but admit there are things it is not going to do as well as your steel griddle, smash burgers is a good example. With the snow and cold of midwest winter on the way hope the E-series will keep you griddling through winter!
Haha ya I didn't know if you were comfortable with me using your name Guy so I just said I knew ya. I should have said a "guy" I know hahaha. Thanks for your input on the review.
Thanks for the feedback Scotty. I have a small walk through kitchen as well so I like the 22 but it takes up a lot of space. Appreciate you watching a few videos.
I purchased the E 17 series 5 years ago and worked great. I just purchased the E 22 two weeks ago and its horrible, the middle of the cooking plate bows in the middle so everything slides to all sides and the eggs just runs to all sides. The 22" plate is nothing like the quality of the 17" cooking plate.
Very good review. I’d thought about getting one of these but after seeing this I don’t think it would be good for me. Glad Blackstone came out with an option though for those who need an indoor griddle. I love my 36” Blackstone and will have to do some cookin in the shed this winter. Being in Oklahoma not near as bad as Ohio for sure. Griddle on my friend!! 🤙🏼🔥🤙🏼
Ya I definitely don't think you need one in Oklahoma. I'd say wheel that thing in the shed and keep on griddln'. That's the other thing about me I have a condo not a house. Of I had a garage or something I'd be using that all winter long to griddle.
I have a cast iron as well Bobbi, which I do like a lot. And I would say no it's not worth it. If I didn't have this RUclips channel specifically about griddling I don't think I would keep this e-series. However if I didn't have this channel I would still keep my outdoor griddle and use that all the time. The e-series has some nice features but it's big and still can't get the sear a cast iron gets. Like I said I think this is perfect for the inside griddle person or a condo. Keep making those rainy day smash burgers on your cast iron.
So I never did any steaks with it. Mainly just breakfast and burgers. I'm sure it could handle cooking a steak but you won't get the same crust as a cast iron. I'm sure ut would do fine with fish.
Hi John, yes it fit on my stove top. I have coild burner so it wasn't very level which is why I moved it over to the counter. I hope that helps and thanks for watching.
I was curious about these. All the reviews I've watched they have been very underwhelming. I live in South Dakota so I get the cold. I mean REALLY 🥶. Luckily I have a heated garage. Keeps it in the mid 50's. Do gas griddles struggle in cold weather? I'm really hoping to still griddle thru the winter. I agree that this is probably better than a run of the mill electric griddle. Good for people in certain situations. Once again very educational and informative video. Take Care & Keep On Keepin' On. 👊 👍 😊
Ya Shawn underwhelming is a very good way to put it. I've cooked on my griddle in single digit weather and didn't have any problems. I would just recommend heating it up on low so you don't shock the griddle too with an extreme temperature jump. Also if be careful with propane in your garage. Make sure the garage door is open so that gas can exit. Normally they don't recommend doing it in any closed in spaces. I'm not saying people haven't done it I just know it's not recommended.
@JohnnyBrunet I always go to the front of the Garage, by the Big Door. Open it half way before I grill, or cook on the Blackstone. I'm also not suppose to leave my car running when I put gas in my car during the winter either. Sure you've never done that before. 🥶 ⛽️ 😉 😜 😆
@JohnnyBrunet Preaching to the choir. 0 then with the wind chill. -30/60. I made Teriyaki Chicken Sandwiches tonight. Looked like a hot mess. My stuff never looks as good as you professionals. 😉 😜 Tasted awesome. Didn’t make enough tho. Huge hit with the family. I suppose if it doesn't taste good. It wasn't a successful cook. 😕 😆 🤣 😂
Woah, hold up! A Camp Chef guy buying a Blackstone product?! Just kidding 😄. I’ll stick with my 36” Blackstone, but I can see how this would make sense for some people. Great review!
👍. I bought my 36” in June and have no complaints so far. I’m sure your Camp Chef is great too. Can’t go wrong with either brand! I’m in PA, so not too much different than what your Winter weather is like. We’ll see how she performs in the cold temps.
Two reasons I would not get it. It’s going to spatter all over your counter/walls. It’s going to pull a lot of power. I like the zone cooking, nicer than the gas flat tops. I will go to Walmart tomorrow and have a look. Nice job.
No more than using an electric stove for power usage and cooking on it with the splatter. Like we have in our home. Highly considering this purchase for transportability. Thanks for the reviews
Hey T. Berg thanks for the suggestion. I have a review coming of a steelmade stovetop griddle. I've never seen real steel but it sounds pretty similar. I should have that one ready in about a month.
That's great Lasan! I appreciate you commenting so people looking into it can get more feedback. It definitely has some nice features and is easy to use.

hahahahaha I have two Blackstones know Bruno. Ya there's definitely some cons which I wanted to be transparent about. But I also didn't want to feel like I was slamming it just because it's Blackstone. I just got this 22 inch adventure ready off of Facebook and it's been great.
Nice review! This is not for me, I perfer the two burner 28" Nexgrill Flat Top I have for now. Only part I do not like about my griddle is thatthe grease trap is a oval down spout on the upper right corner on the griddle. I wish I got the newer model that has the grease trap on the back center like the Blackstone! I just deal with it.
@@JohnnyBrunet The lastest and new model has the grease tray on the center back flange like the Blackstone! Way much better than the one I have! I like my flat top but the grease trap on the right corner cook surface cuts down on cooking area! I just use this area with a warming grate so not a real issue!
@@JohnnyBrunet We do not have a Sams Club here in Western Mass. I bought my NexGrill at Home Depot. The new 2021 model has a similar grease trap just like the Blackstone model. If and when you ever get one I look forward to your review. I really like mine a lot. It is just like the Blackstone but was about $90 cheaper on sale.
I ordered this 22 inch blackstone electric griddle. Tried to cook bacon does not cook good. Had to get my iron skillet out to cook it in. To me it is not worth buying. Hope it does pancakes better & grill cheese sandwich. Don't give you any temperature guide to cook items on.
Yes you definitely can make that case. I told another person who commented that I wouldn't probably buy this if I didn't have a RUclips Channel solely about griddling, but I can see how some people would like to have it especially if you have a condo or apartment where they won't let propane.
