Academy Award® nominee Will Smith (Best Actor, The Pursuit of Happyness, 2006) stars in this action-packed comedy as Hancock, a sarcastic, hard-living and misunderstood superhero who has fallen out of favor with the public. When Hancock grudgingly agrees to an extreme makeover from idealistic publicist Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman, Juno), his life and reputation rise from the ashes and all seems right again--until he meets a woman (2003 Academy Award® winner Charlize Theron, Best Actress, Monster) with similar powers to his and the key to his secret past. - Кино
Bullets flying left and right, a bazooka, a light machine gun, and amidst all that chaos, he asked, " do I have permission to touch your body". Such a gentleman.
Will Smith is a cee unt for slapping Chris Rock
He probably just realised it’s 2023 I don’t wanna get termed

And then pre 20-whenenver this whole thing started was like "GET ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!"
When he said “Good job” to all the police, I really wanted him to say
“Remember, you guys are the real heroes.”
you must learn this scenario was a new deal to him,he only followed Ray´s instructions,in the way he knew how. I mean til that moment he was basically just a drunken superpowered a**hole. if i ,may point a similar scene go watch the ending of Megamind, there too Megamind was treated like a hero the first time and as the crowd was coming too near for his liking he even threatened em with a gun instinctively.
@@r3l1csvk That was a Homelander reference (Amazon's "The Boys")

I love how everyone’s running towards the crowd with C4 strapped to their chest
I was thinking the same thing!
That scene always bugged me.. like the cops are so chill with unintentional potential suicide bombers running through the police lines. Instead of ordering them to stay put until bomb squad clears them. Like all it takes is for one to remove the vest that triggers a fail safe and boom mass casualties. Also the fact how the entire 5 block area wasn't locked down with heavy swat vehicles and ONLY swat officers on site is not realistic either.
@@killz0ne215 : probably the'y're so used to being sloppy... since Hancock'd do most of the hard work...?
Y'all are hilarious. Have trouble with the C4 realism, but some guy with super strength, can fly and is invulnerable is realistic. Get a life.
@@jimbelcher6877i kind of get it tho. ok stick with me here but there's a movie where the plot says that goblins are real bit everything else to show to be the same as real life. you and I would both be like wtf is half way through a big blue balloon man showed up.
I love the detail of him putting on the glasses at the end. You could tell he was feeling himself start to tear up. He had never received this kind of love and praise before. It was sort of like Kratos seeing the painting of him being worshipped at the end of the newest god of war game

lmao
Nice to see Will drop the script and tell all the actors what a great job they're doing
Get my bald headed wife’s name out yo f’n mouf!

😂
Everybody makes mistakes
I always loved how because he’s learnt how to be a hero and not be drunk he can fly much faster but can’t slow himself down quickly and has to use his hands as air brakes and still almost trips because he’s not used to landing so quickly at a short distance
He's very good at landing in a short distance but I believe it would leave a ginormous crater in the concrete, and it looked like a bridge so that would probably blow up all the cops in a collapse
He's good at landing it's the landing softly part He's bad at
This scene always brought a tear to my eye. His entire life he was a total douche with his powers and this scene is the first time he tries reaching for something better for himself, and being met with success and praise. And you can tell how uncomfortable he is doing it, but he still tries. Something of a life lesson to be had there.
Hopefully a lesson will smith can learn in real life
@Blosiverma Well women slap....So it is already lost due to bro code. He's gonna lose man points for that.

@@blosiverma9574 or we could since hes a celebrity. Feels like the slap and yelling are the real Will coming through... or out.
It's hilarious how you can tell he's trying to land without leaving a massive crater 🤣
Love the car-carry bit. It stretches out the rescue sequence but it's completely logical. Hancock wouldn't want to move at super-speed with an injured human. Plus we get some great hero shots of him casually carrying the police car like it's a cardboard shield
Yeah and he also wouldn’t want to hit head on a train full of hundreds of people instead of moving the damn car off the tracks 😂
Also it makes even more sense with the fact that he is bulletproof, but she aint, so could benefit having something little bigger than his body blocking shots

Good one, or course it's the shack mates not the comedians he should really worry about.
Karen
I love the awkwardness he displays as he's never really had any contact with his humanity because no one treated him as a human until now. Once he gets comfortable he starts displaying the true traits of what we'd call a Hero. This is the best protrayal of what it is to go from nothing to something in a universe where powers exist. Not the comic book cliche of Marvel and DC.

Well, Hancock did warn him😂
i think he puts on his sunglasses at the end to hide his tears of joy. not just to protect his eyes when flying.
Watching this movie, I can safely say there's a criminal lack of superheroes these days that awkwardly stumble around when using their powers. It's always perfectly acrobatic flips and turns and lands, even origin stories don't show a hero who starts out bad at their job anymore.
I wonder...what if Hancock vs Homelander?
Well basically
An Angel vs A Bad product

While everyone is talking about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock, I think this is my favorite scene in the movie. It shows Hancock's first time doing his duty as a superhero without being a self-centered, overly-violent jerk.
Hancock II directed by Jaden Smith; worth a cup of tea?
The final scene is literally the camera panning around Will Smith to put him in the centre. Oh and Chris Rock deserved a slap, Will should have risen above it.

Hancock has a much deeper story, meaning. It is covered up in a superhero story. A great movie to analyze and provide retrospect to life and relationships.
He reminds me of Mike Tyson, idk y .. 🙄
To me it felt a bit short. There's potential for greatness tho
I love that all that heavy weaponry and sophisticated explosives most likely cost so much relative to what they can steal from the bank. These dudes may as well just rob a convenience store to avoid all that trouble.

This was a really good movie with a twist ending. I can watch it time and time again.

It cost $150 million to make and made $629 million. It did very well.
@@blaknite1 rhats well deserved and good t o know
It did well, but people think the movie would've been better if it was stayed as comedy, or split into duology. The comedic first half of Hancock learning to become good hero became so tonally inconsistent with the dramatic love story for the second half. For example, make the first movie just about Hancock learning to become superhero, screwed up again after the bank robbery scene, and finally became recognized for good. Make the drunk kiss to Mary a stinger, and flesh out the story for the second movie so either it become a far darker, different to the first movie (like Hancock remembered stuffs and ended up suicidal) or make it more dramatic but still a comedy.
@@20fadhilRevolution It definitely could have been a much better movie with a few tweeks.

You can't compress a cone and have it turn into a perfect circle, it defeats the point of how you make a circle into a cone
LOL
@FreymanArt
No, even with an elastic surface you can't because you'd have wrinkles .
the idea here was
- it's metal
- after the compression it stays in that shape of a perfect circle
- Not to mention , it's aerodynamic (which is horseshit LOL)
also it's not a magical place, it's earth
