Thank you for this. I've always wondered what my Brahmin bags are made of. I like them because of the croc pattern and all the amazing colors they come in. Because of that heavy plastic coating, they wear like iron, too. I've had one for 4 years, used it like 100-200 times by now, and it looks nearly brand new, except that it's lost its shape a bit.
I have a Brahmin from over a decade ago. Holds up pretty well!
The craftsmanship from BRAHMIN bags of a decade ago aren't the same... now they use cheap metals when they used to be brass... unfortunately the new brahmin aren't the same quality

I had a few of these they look great the handled don't stand up to real use, if you get the tote and use it the handles just started falling apart. The finish also rubs off easily just with casual use the corners will show.
I've been using mine for 10 years. My handles and bags are fine. Are you hanging the bag when not carrying it? If so, DON'T!

I bought my first brahmin last year. I will never buy another. I'm glad you used the word mediocre to describe it. This brand should be sold at Target not Dillard's. There is no reason for them to involve leather when they destroy it so. They should end the pretense and go fully plastic, offer it at a price point and in a place that is more honestly low end.
I treat my bags like they're treasures and I've been extra cautious with my Brahmin due to the obviously fragile finish. After just a year of mostly living in the dust bag, it looks much older around the edges than my much older bags. I've used the brahmin less than a handful of times and put so much energy into protecting it during use that I cannot enjoy it. I cushion it in fleece in the car. I make sure that it doesn't rub against anything. I've become so paranoid about scratching it that I stopped using it.
I wanted to give the brand an honest try in spite of my misgivings. I should have trusted my instincts. Now I just frown at it every time I walk past it, sitting in my closet in it's dust bag, barely touched garbage. It is a beautiful design but I should have ignored it, paid a little more for a Dooney instead.
Ah well. It was an experiment. I will listen more to my instincts in the future. Anybody wanna buy a barely used bucket bag? 😂
I used my brahmin daily and still looks like new, people even think it's some sort of Louis Vuitton old style..... the craftsmanship is spectacular... at par with high end bags and I know because I used to work in retail.... this guy gets paid to review brands...he has videos saying some small brands contacted him! And those that sent him items paid surprisingly he rates them as great jajaja... he talked bad about brahmin because it's not a famous brand and he won't destroy his reputation, and they did not pay him like the other smaller brands that sent him products to "collaborate"

This is my first (but not the last) purchase of a D U P B A G Y bag. For the affordable price, it exceeded my expectations! It's soft, the perfect size, and the color is gorgeous! Love this bag!
Thank you for deconstructing this. I bought a couple, they look nice on the website, but with time the paint wears off(((. also on my bag there is smth like a protective film. Yeah, I was waiting for sales, so 250 is the max price I am ok to give for such a bag.

Ive never had “paint” wear off an authentic Brahmin. It’s dyed leather, not painted.

@@joypeaceandhappiness1501 I bought one last year for everyday use, and I see that corners are now greyish, and there is some kind of transparent layer, to make it shiny. Maybe 10yrs ago they had better quality and technology. Maybe different styles made with different technologies. I have Lorelei in fancy Melbourne which is wearing out. Large la Skala duxbury been having for 5yrs that I don't use it often, that looks brand new.
Not sure what kind of treatment you are giving them. Maybe because it is daily use, so they are getting more damage, but I have mine for years and none of them are showing any signs of wear, only softening of the leather.
Can you please do Tory Burch, it’s actually a little more money for a contemporary brand and with ur expertise we as audience will know whether it’s worth it or not..?

I had bought quite a few bags from Brahim, but when I purchased a purse with a matching wallet from Brahim the clasp on the wallet broke after a month. Instead of replacing the wallet, they "repaired" it extremely badly. I ended up giving it away as it was no longer "perfect". The whole experience soured me on Brahmin forever, especially since I spent quite a bit of money on their bags. This video just reinforced my opinion that the quality is just not there, and I'm not buying their bags anymore.

I love the original Brahmin, I have a few older bags that don’t have this look and they are v nice, good wear. These newer bags are not v luxurious but at least the cost is somewhat reasonable.
New waaaaay to plastic looking and shiny. Older bags much better, they wear better

I have two of these bags with matching wallet. With daily use for a year or two it held up perfectly. Now after 10 years it looks like new. Good purchase from the past. I wonder why it was better quality in the past?

My Brahmin bags are hands down my favorite and wear well, but the wallets and card holders have corner and edge wear quickly if you use them regularly. If you’re thinking of adding pieces to your collection, my advice is to spend a bit more and get a bag and avoid the smaller accessories

I love your channel! Please keep doing these videos. If possible, can you please do some videos on high end luggage? I know that’s hella expensive, but I have a good feeling they will get thousands and thou ands of views. Perhaps millions over time because nobody is doing g this from an objective standpoint. People review bags…. Sure, but nobody tears them apart and scrutinizes the build quality like you! Another suggestion is that perhaps you get together with with Rose Anvil or Steve from Bedos Leather works, and do a collaboration. That would be awesome! I’ll bet anything that they’d love to do that!! Seriously!

Can you do on the BRUCEGAO bag? They claim to have only genuine crocodile and alligator leather on their products. I notice one of their bag looks very similar to this one on your video so I am now doubting if their products are genuine leather.

Craftmanship is believed to he’s referring to how difficult this bag can be assembled which is not in his opinion thus he called it mediocre. He should’ve said average not above average

And the people who buy them know it's embossed duh! .... this brand is a small local and honest brand, why use them on your title as if you were catching them onto deceit? ....????
