how would you compare washing your car with soap foam and water vs scrubbing it? Do you notice any difference?

It all depends on how dirty your car is, If it's really dirty, soap foam as a pre-wash will be good then wash the car with wash mitts.
If the car is just dusty, then soap foam is good enough.
