Ah yes, the Nintendo Switch. I finally got sucked into it. It took me like two years but now I'm a sucker. Not really into the Marios and Zeldas still but the portability and quantity of weird things coming out has basically made it the Playstation Vita 2. That's pretty awesome.

I'm very excited tho
Not weird really, just business. Nintendo expressed interest in funding and publishing it and Sony or Microsoft weren't interest in competing for the license. I personally believe that Nintendo's motivation in throwing money at Ultimate Alliance 3 is to increase sales of Switch in the west by drawing in new demographics, and it will probably be profitable plan.
I do wish it had a PC release though.
Look at it this way. We can probably get Link and Samus in the game like how they tried to do that for the first game. (Or the second, I forgot)

The Sports party game reminds me of "Go Vacation" on Switch which is 100x better and has about 30 other events that have actual depth...oh and also has about 4 or 5 open world areas representing each season.

Gal Metal was the first Switch game I bought. It was super cheap and looked quirky as hell.

Fun fact: the artist who worked on the designs and other visuals of gap metal also worked as a character designer for the anime dragon pilot: his one and masotan. They also wrote and drew the manga version of the anime.

I'd also say the art style is reminiscent of Titan Souls too. I'm not complaining too much though, both games are phenomenal.
"You'll be sucked" is still among the biggest videogame promotion letdowns for me.
I wanted so badly to be sucked by that beautiful man but alas it was false promises once again.

I had no idea that Toki remake came out, so even with it not being exclusive anymore, I still want to check it out! And yes, I'd absolutely loved to see you do more entries in this series. I think there's a lot of potential here!
Oh Toki! I'm one of the artist that was commissioned by Golgoth Studio to do the background art back in 2010, because the previous one had a little squabble with what I thought was the Project Manager. Development Hell? Hah! Some really shady stuff happened at Golgoth Studio, at least when I worked for them. To this day, they still owe me around 6'000 euros of pay. But I wasn't the only one. Apparently a lot of the programmers weren't paid either or had to work and crunch for free with the promise of a pay from what I heard. I also heard they refused to pay the Game Designer they hired.
When I was commissioned around August 2010, I had no direct feedback from them for all the months I worked on the backgrounds with basically no art direction, in a crunch (for the 2011 release), even though I asked for an document from the art director for me to have proper references. Until I discovered there were no art director.
When January 2011 came with 90% of the background art done, they refused to pay me, supposedly because they weren't happy with the background. Let me repeat: I worked for months without feedback until they finally came and told me no pay, because no good. That was the excuse they told me, but actually they had no money left anyway so they looked for ways not to pay some people at the time. My art never was used in the end and had a really rough year with finances because of them.
But that's not all. In order for Microïds to buy back the Toki license from Golgoth Studio to finish the released game, I heard that Microïds had to pay all the people that Golgoth hired and owned money to. Unfortunately for whatever reason, I wasn't in the list, neither do some others.
Ubisoft Sports Party is looking a bit like Fortnight, but more brown instead of colorful.

You know, I'm glad someone remembers Kamiko at least. That game, while a small game, is still a blast to play from time to time just cause you can beat it so quickly.
I've been eyeing GalMetal almost every time I've been at Gamestop,now that I know it's worth my time I'll probably pick it up at some point
Kamiko also has the fairune series (same universe!), the first game is on 3DS and the collection is on Switch too. It's also 5 euro for 4 games. 3 mini rpg and 1 danmaku. I think you'd really love it!! It's gorgeous :D the music and visuals improving each game, to just before the level of kamiko it's amazing. Each game is also only around 3-6 hours long blind, but you're incentivised to speedrun them.

If you wanted to try a good switch exclusive then play the blaster master zero games. It's made by inti creates, the guys that made the megaman zero games and had something to do with shantae half genie hero.

Either way, the first one is a super quality game. I really want to play the second one.

Taiko no Tatsujin is technically a switch exclusive because everything about the Switch version is different from all other versions

I picked up Kamiko about a year ago and spent an entire weekend playing through it a bunch with each character. Its the primary reason that i look through the list of smaller switch games now. Happy to see it get a mention!

About the meme game of super ola, it's weird to see a game reference the "all your base are belong to us" which is at this point an ancient meme, and using it brings some vintage points. Though with memes, I personally say that the punchline is what makes them funny or how you use them.

There's a whole genre of metal built on classical music. Most are original compositions, but many borrow from the greats. Check out Rhapsody of Fires "The Wizards Last Rhymes."
It also uses this piece from Dvoraks 9th. And does so wonderfully.

You should play Gal Metal its like 15 dollars sometimes.
Gal Metal is the best Rhythm game because you can just freestyle the whole game. And it has components of not just the rhythm game.
Also the physical edition is feature complete, which I love. No need to download the extra DLC even if it's free.

I’m totally going to play kamiko. Rayearth/magical girls on top of Zelda game style? Plus while I enjoy the big open titles on switch, it’d be nice to have a smaller short game that I can play for a little whole and be done without worrying about a ton of extra content
Sonic Forces was alright imo. I’ll continue to say this. It’s decently fun. Just very short.
Hey Austin! if you liked the way Gal Metal game looks you should check out the anime called "Dragon Pilot hisone and masotan"(my profile pic is one of the characters in the anime, she's best girl) the art style is by Aoki Toshinao (the same guy behind the art style of the characters in this game) it also has a manga that recently was fully fan translated and completed (just 5 or 6 chapters) but yeah check out that anime if you ever see this comment!
He's also an artist for the pokemon trading cards, like his work for Surfing Pikachu.
Have you tried Taiko No Tatsujin aka Taiko Drum n Fun? You can import the physical version from Amazon or Play Asia with English support. And you can also get the drum controller too.
