I'm probably not the only one who's noticed this, but I get such a Plain White T's feel from this. This reminds me a lot of "Hey There, Delilah", but with a bit more of a rock edge to it. It feels sincere, but at the same time, it's something I want to get up and dance to. I really suck at explaining, but it's a hard feeling to explain. All I can say is, great job Forest! Really well done :D
Derpy is such an awesome character! She still tries her best despite everything. I may be a little biased tho; my left eye is very lazy and off-center, so much so that when I look through it everything is very blurry and double. (I'm also a bit of a klutz...) I love all the characters in MLP FiM, but I can really relate to Derpy!
