Sweet EMD 2-cycle dropping from notch 2 to 1 in town at 4:00..... and again the switching operation throttle maneuvering at 8:44 is a sweet catch.... Driver in white truck "What the actual heck are they doing???"... LOL Great closing shot, Jason.
You should sell that footage of the gray pickup coming down the road at you in a cloud of dust to the manufacturer. I'm sure I heard the song "You were born an Ahole" playing in the background because by God he had some place important to get to. Only six cars of siding so hopefully we'll have more by the end of the week. A few days ago I saw a tape out of Vicksburg MI there were three car loads of siding going westbound on CN which means that product from Ontario or their Maine plant is supplementing output from Sagola. Apparently they'll have the whole group of covered hoppers in Iron Mountain and the five gondolas were the leftovers from last week and the five today all had heavier large pieces of scrap. I'm glad the Flies gnats and mosquitoes didn't airlift you out of that photo spot
BTW.....I remember the fine weekday mornings 1/4 mile from the SacNorthern in Lafayette, CA....Baldwin and GE Orange "Alligator" safety paint schemes on the locos. Thanks for jogging my memories, eh!
Pacing a train is fun! But the speeds can be off some! Great catch, Jason as usual!!! Much enjoyed! They sure slowed down as they enter that Horned Crossing in Iron Mountain!Does the #501 have past History from Conrail??? Flashback to Smoking Steam era!!! Thanks from Maine Jason!

That broken pole is the responsibility of the local cable company. I do not know what the reason is for the lack of fixing that pole but if it snaps the responsibility of all the repair issues will fall on them including damages to the local railway line. Here in the state of NY we have the PUC and they will fine you for poor maintenance on a safety hazard, and in my line of work would be a termination of the local crew foreman. Just saying. Maybe you need to make the call as a real nice guy!!! DE N2JYG
@@poowg2657 Still have to fix it!!! It is a big liability on them… give them a call. The cable itself looks good and could be serving hundreds of of customers with figuring several 2-way amps in the line, could cover both phone and internet as well as TV. DE N2JYG
In September 2023 when the Google car went down Breitung they had the Eastbound lane dug up about 2 blocks West of the track for some kind of pipe that went down the middle of the lane.
Those cars are rockin' and a rollin' Barbra Ann.
Thanks for the vid! Run from the bugs!! Stay safe

Crivitz !
I enjoy that 501 pulls the stretch near your house. That they left the Demo scheme on it makes it my favorite loco.

I've gone missing for a while. It's time to help out while I still have conscious thoughts.

Yes, trees are a renewable resource!!!!
Thanks, Jason. Wonder what the speed restriction is throuvh town. Probably would be hard to pace.
It's 15 mph. Usually travels at less than that.

If that's a Frontier Cable pole they've been in bankruptcy for years.

Is Frontier the landline provider, too?
