Filming trains is fun, but I gotta admit it is by far the most aggravating hobby! Catching a train in a new location is always satisfying and worth the wait.
I strike out a lot. I drove a few hours to try to film a Louisville & Indiana Railroad train on Saturday. Hours and hours and all I got was a CSX train. At least I got that lol. One time I spent 2 and a half days at Natural Tunnel, Virginia trying to get a train in the light. I found out that most of the coal has dried up. Two trains went by in the night and that was it. Then there was the time in Pennsylvania when I tried to get a street runner. Don't get me started lol
The people who turn around when a train is coming almost never have a real reason. They just think they can't be bothered. Take advantage of it. Wonder where it's going. What's in that tank car? I never noticed that little store before. Slow down and live a little. No reason not to. Thanks so much once again, JT. I say it all the time; you know how to do it.
JT...Hamilton (OH) is "the bomb"💥!!! Love 💓the old buildings, the variety of trains, and those immense horn echos i.e. @15:08 and @22:10..."my kinda town" 👍👍
Hey jaw tooth cool new location. Should find more new places in Hamilton to film trains. Awesome view at first crossing. Glad you caught 2nd train after watching 1st train. Have a great railroad day. 🚂🙋♀️
Great view to video ! Best spot in the house . Busy rail thoroughfare for sure . Loki looked at you to say " Daddy , where's Chessie going ? " Great work from the man on the beat ! 🚂 ☺️
We had a shorter intermodal and then a shorter mixed manifest to wind up that portion of the video. They were both good trains, too JT, and I enjoyed them both. I thank you for the video today. It's always a pleasure to see your work! I love to see your pets play! I'll chat with you tomorrow, JT, and have a nice evening. 👍 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
That was a great workaround for missing the train in town. I prefer seeing it in the countryside anyway. And a great train it was. I especially liked the big plate steel! Thank you. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Mr. Jawtooth; The old paper mill in downtown Hamilton that you frequently video was the Beckett Paper Co. built in 1848. When it was built, it was the first paper mill west of the Alleghenies.
Thanks for the update on the train station..hope it doesn't get lost in the shuffle with different priorities with administration changes. Nice catches and great video JT! 🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Very cool JawTooth. Another great video for sure. That first train load was a long one. I always come back to your video's because wait......theres more. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Jaw Tooth and a Pershing for breakfast, just doesn't get much better. Depot progress is sloooooowwwwww. They'll finish it just in time for it to fall apart. Great video, liked it much. Thanks JT!
I gotta admit, your right JT. That is a good view and angle to view the trains from. You should film here more often from this side :) Love seeing most of the length of the train form that view
Thanks for showing us the station. You sure have a long view of the trains at this crossing. Those gates need an adjustment for sure. Another fine video Jaw Tooth. ❤.Hi Brandy.
More exciting train action from Hamilton Ohio with awesome CSX and Norfolk Southern trains on the tracks with DPU's, the new sheriff's office and jail being built, the nice train crossings, also of course the awesome live action pets playing in the yard and the train slide shows Thank You as always Jaw Tooth.🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲
I was watching trains on this line about this time last year from the crossing before that up to where you are, and I saw a purple and white UP Heritage Locomotive! Never saw it before and haven't seen it since! That was a lucky catch!

You know what I like to do, so I can spend half the time watching your train videos. IS speeding up the video by 2 times, makes the trains speed by 2x faster.
That is a nice sweeping curve at the Crossing you went to but then you wind up losing more than you'll see. Also it has a rather harsh flange squeal as the cars go around the curve. Thanks for the station update and while all those freights moved quickly the gates that don't go up in a timely fashion pose a safety risk. Drivers will either start going around them or drive at wild speeds to the next Crossing to get around them. Good old Brandy sitting down and using Leverage to win the toy battle

Really enjoyed the trains. Speaking of the gates going up slow, sometimes the red lights here are so slow you think they'll never change. Thank you so much for another exciting video.❤😊😊 I think Loki has met his competition playing with Brandi. So awesome 😊😊
I believe the bigger containe rs do not have the twist box clamps in the middle leaving them secured only on one end. if they did have a clamp it would have to be a 40-foot container only because those would be 2 twenty foot for a snug fit otherwise you have the 40. 45. 53 ft dilemma. Also noticed that the liquid containers almost always ride by themselves
Hello Jaw, the reception building and the goods hall in Hamilton have been “moved”. Will the buildings be rebuilt as a train station or used for other purposes. Many greetings from Germany, Wolfgang
Thank you for another railfanning video from the Hamilton, Ohio area, Jaw Tooth! The sweeping curve in the first portion of this video gives an unobstructed view of the train. That was a lengthy line of boxcars at the beginning of the first train in the video. The mixed freights in this video had a good variety of freight cars in the consists. There were four hundred truck frames on that last train in the video. The Hamilton Depot reconstruction does not seem to be moving. I am surprised that someone has not put tarps over the holes in the roof of the two-story portion of the depot.
