      Try resetting the system by pulling the power heated seat fuse from the fuse box for a couple minutes then putting it back in sometimes that will reset the module. Also when you remove the wire harness from the Macho pay close attention for any burned or scorched electrical terminals in there sometimes those need to be repaired

    Did your heated seats switches light up when it wasn’t working thanks

    • @darylturcott
      @darylturcott  2 года назад +1

      Yes, it would light up for a few minutes then go out. Light would come back on after turning key off then back on. Further testing showed a break in the internal heating pad.

      @@darylturcott My heated switch lights stayed on. Year ago the seat went out how the blower fan replaced. So maybe it’s another blower fan. thanks

    Thanks for the info on how to get the blue connectors undone. Do you think the junkyard module could be bad?

    • @darylturcott
      @darylturcott  5 лет назад

      Doubtful because the passenger seat still worked. Also I sold it on ebay and the purchaser never complained.

    my drivers seat only doesnt work. think that makes it likely to NOT be the module on mine?

    • @darylturcott
      @darylturcott  6 лет назад

      Kevin Goff mine is same, probably not module. You need to remove connector wire and examine it for burned contacts

    • @jarredwhite5734
      @jarredwhite5734 4 года назад +1

      daryl turcott mine is the same. Just removed the seat and no burn marks on ANY of the connections. None. Sooo now what???

    Mine wont switch on at all. The light for the seat button on the dash will blink and go off,niether seat works heat or cool. 2013 Expedition King Ranch

      I would definitely check the connector below passenger seat.

      Mine do the same thing on a 2012 Nav. Has worked twice, when I bought it in June 2018 and sometime in Dec 2018, otherwise all lights come on and go out.

    • @darylturcott
      @darylturcott  5 лет назад

      Quite likely the connector under passenger seat.

    my seats will sound like they turn on and after a minute it will turn off and the light will flicker untill u restart the vehicle. this is for both seats. do u thinl its the module?

    • @darylturcott
      @darylturcott  6 лет назад

      Hatchet Mobile it sounds like a module issue, since it affects both at once. Did you try pulling the fuse and letting the module reset?

    • @darylturcott
      @darylturcott  6 лет назад

      +Hatchet Mobile sorry it took so long to answer. I hesitate to say yes, because it didn't work for me. But worth a try if you can get the module cheaply.

      Having hard time finding that info. One source says it's part of the fuse box on 07 up. I know the module with door code & security is behind passenger foot panel.

    Could you hand me over the part code or something that I can use to get it?
    Or where can I buy it?

      Part number is BU5Z-14C724-A, The one removed was 9U5T-14B663-AA, so I just changed my module you don't even need to remove the seat to change it took me less than 10 min to change it, my local dealer wanted 280 to change it and reprogram it which it didn't need. Good Luck

      there is a ground wire in the harness that you already know now to get too, unplug it and see if it's burnt then just bridge it avoiding having to buy a new one. get back to me and let me know.

    • @400fps

      I should say that that was a problem, i'm not sure if they decided to go with a heavier gauge wire on your model but it's worth a look.
