Always good to see an amp do rated power, great job covering the details as these little amps pack a lot! Also, you forgot to tell people to click dislike twice if they don't like the vid, that really makes a difference, lol.
Thanks fella’s! I didn’t Dyno my key 200.4 and people been asking me nonstop so now I can just share your video with them without having to pull my amp outta the car lol. 😎
I sell a fair amount of these amps. They do very well for the price! It's a good way to get my customers into DSP for fairly cheap. And with the button on the mic, you can toggle it on/off to see what it did. Works great just about every time! I like them. It's more focused on sound quality then a lot of output...and it definitely delivers! Only kicker product would ever I sell, until they make a 5 channel version hahahahaha
NEED HELP I’m running this amp and when I put the music up too loud and for too long the audio cuts out completely and the red PRT light comes on but yet my subwoofer connected to a different amp are still on and bumping? Doesn’t make sense.
I have a 2009 Rogue with a factory Bose system which has its own factory amplifier. Can I use the kicker key 200.4 without adding a summing device? Thanks so much for your videos and explanations
I bought a 2 way memphis component set. I want to go active, do i need to add a bass blocker to the tweeter or will the amp know the difference during its dsp tunning? I like the fact you can bi-amp this but it has been awhile since I've installed car audio equipment.
So frustrated right now, I finished the bi amp key setup, all fine, happy tone, the music was playing nicely, moved to gain matching and fried both tweeters with the 50hz test tone, no limiter red light was shown or anything. I'm still trying to understand why the amp was sending such low frequencies to the tweeter. What could have happened, fader was OFF, Bi amp on, kicker EQ off, compression OFF, using just front channels, woofers connected to hear outputs, tweeter to front outputs. Didn't the Key setup separate the frequencies properly? why the tweeter got burned while woofer was not even close to limit and red light didn't come up?
@@Qualitymobilevideoyes, it cuts too low at 3.2k. At least it was the OEM and not really the twitter from the 2 way kit I was waiting. For the two way I used the passive crossover that came with it just for the tweeter.

what does Bi Amp mode do if I'm only running 2 speakers?? will the amp put out more watts to each speaker or does it still put out "50" per channel???? like it is 50x4 but if I'm only running 2 do I get 100 to each or is that not how it works???
Biamp mode means it's looking for a high frequency driver and a low frequency driver and it will set active crossovers between the two and equalize them as a unit. Non biamp mode means it will look for full range speakers on all four channels. 2 channels will be the front and two channels will be the rear.
There are a few KEY videos out there. Gotta say this one among the best!
Thanks KICKER!

Perfect to run a nice set of components.
It sure is!
Just got this for my 2021 VW Atlas CS 💪🏽
How that does measure powerwise to an aftermarket headunit. Considering most are rated at 4x50.
In reality, most head units only output about 15 watts of clean power. This is a big step up in power.

You should always have at least a cap on the tweeter to prevent damage when errors are made. Unfortunately you learned the hard way.

Considering this amp to power my KS 6.5" speakers while maintaining minimal space requirements.
if a amp says 4 ohms: 250 watts x 2 channel and wires to one speaker @ 4ohms does that mean the speaker is getting 125 watts or the 250?
Or is it when it’s says 2 channels. Do I have to put 2 subwoofer to it?
So if this is added with an LOC will that affect the DSP auto-tunning ?
No, and LOC will not affect the DSP if installed properly.
This unit has an loc built-in.
I plan on using this active w a set of Morel Tempo Ultra components

You said you can runa 3 way setup? How? I'm in bi-amp now but would love to know how to run a 3 way.
A 3-way setup would require at least a few passive crossovers. It would not be fully active three-way.
I'm confused one test said 53 watts rms and DD1 said 49 watts.... why are their 2 test results? Just curious...thanks
The 53 is the more accurate number, as the voltage is confirmed on the Liumy. The SMD is a very popular product but seems to always be a little off
@@Qualitymobilevideo oh okay....
Is it normal for this amp to get pretty hot?
Yes
It's extremely efficient so you would have to be really cranking on it at high volume for a long time to get it really hot.
So this won’t work with my 2.5 Ohms speakers in my truck only 4 Ohms speakers?
I saw a kicker video and one of the developers said it would be fine and to go for it. I just wander how much power increase 2 ohm would give you.
This would be great for me but there is reports of bassheads are sending them back do to chip error so this is not a good buy here :/
What issue are they having? I presume its the monoblock version they are having issues with?
How much ??
