      And yet, the scene demonstrates Matt Damon’s versatility as an actor, acting. Yet all you care about is Jude Law? C’mon. This isn’t instagram.

    • @RC-qf3mp
      @RC-qf3mp 4 месяца назад

      @@HollyLiana it’s immature and inappropriate that a large group of shallow people comment on looks all the time, making it the end all and be all of life. This is literally a demonstration of good acting and that’s being trivialized by shallow valid comments like yours. Imagine some other artist, a pianist, performing masterfully… and a bunch of people just comment on how great her perky tats are. And it happens. Just see YT with the female pianists. It’s an absurd childish way to view the world and it devalues artists and sets a bad example for kids.

      Random tip: There's a trick to sort of "cheat" in scenes like this if the actor doesn't have all of that range (or even if they do and you just wanna do it), the director will film the scene many times and in each take they'll have the actor have different motivations each time then chop up the takes and mix them together with clever editing.
      This was done alot with the Cop that Willem Dafoe played in American Psycho for example
      They would film each of his scenes at minimum 3 times, one take where he believed Patrick Bateman was guilty, one take where he thought he was innocent, and one take where he wasn't sure

    • @Feoktistovs
      @Feoktistovs 10 месяцев назад +16

      @@gavinrochfordmusic Stylistically yeah, in that way it different. But the character of Keoghan's really was like Ripley and just the story on itself wa
      s very similar to this film. Just in general the movie was mediocre at best with some great cinematography, some great acting mostly from Keoghan and Pike but it had nothing else going for it. It was a literally a rip off of any obssesion type of films where the main character is a psychopath who is clearly intellectual and disturbed who will do anything to get what he wants and be somebody in life which that character in saltburn clearly was inspired by Ripley's character, it's clear as day that that movie was inspired by these type of films. Saltburn definitely was a love letter to Obssessive Serial Killer type of movies. But it no way original, no way it was as entertaining as this film was and no way the acting was at the same caliber. Jude Law and Matt Damon were absolutely mesmerizing when they both were on screen, the script and the way the story was flowing was nothing short of amazing! While Saltburn was trying too hard to shock people with it's mature content and have an ending that frankly was predictable and disappointing by the end. Either way, if you like the film good for you but modern cinema has been failing it's audience for some time now. There is no brand new ideas be put on the table, it's like Hollywood just goes back to the old films says oh that was a great story let's replicate that or recapture that magic again. It's boring when you know where the story is going when we seen this done before many times and better. I feel like nowadays South Koren films or Foreign films in general have more creativity and originality than Hollywood. Hollywood needs to step up it's game, nowadays it's all about wokeness and unoriginality, just copy and paste.
