I'd say one of the moderate neighborhoods. Not too dangerous, not too dirty. Working folks are home already for the most part! There are nicer areas in the Bronx and areas MUCH WORSE, places even Bronx folks try not to go in daylight, never mind at night!
I remember watching FORT APACHE THE BRONX with Paul Newman and THE WARRIORS…..in the 70s & 80s thinking it was like my city of London, but way more wild….then in 1990 the BRONX HIP HOP LEGENDS ULTRAMAGNETIC MCs came to London on tour and performed a historic night at Dingwalls nightclub in Camden Town. KRS ONE & BDP were also on heavy rotation on the airwaves over here in the UK.
