The french expelled thousands of Algerians to Caledonia to seperate them from their families. These Algerians suffered torture and brutal treatments from France and a punishment because they said no to French colonization

How about they simply leave the Nickel Mines to the rightful owners and then they wont need welfare... $3 billion annually is siphoned from those mines which is taken back to Paris. France by the way does not provide them with welfare, social services is covered by the local budget.
