- Ge Topload Washer has been squeaking even when replacing belt, after removing hair pins, coins, and lubing joints. Replacing the gear assembly was the final fix. AND IT WORKED!!!~
10yo daughter edited this. Did a great job :)
This video has 84 views and not a single comment or like? I’ve been searching the Tube for months looking for this exact video. You single-handedly showed me how to fix about three issues with my washer. Thank you sir. Instant subscribe. 👍🏻
any chance you have videos of the sounds it was making prior to doing any repair attempts?
Bless you and thank you for your time. My problem ordering the parts.
Another video without the problem sound
Mine leaked oil from this gasket as well..
Washed the belt and both pulleys in engine degreaser to get the grease off, and it got rid of the belt slipping noise from the grease leaking…
But I will still need the assembly. Where did you get yours and how much was it?
When was it squeaking? Agitation? Spin? Mine is older but similar so I'm not sure if that's my problem. Mine is a loud squeaking/grinding noise
I wish he replied to these questions. Mine is squeaking and less than a year old. The service guy came and plugged it into the computer and said everything is fine it's just these are noisy cuz it's not the top of the line and my laundry room is echoey so it's sounds worse than it is and I have to live with it. He did change the belt as a courtesy but still noisy.
Great video, exactly what i needed! Thank you
Curious, where did you find that whole assembly and how much was it? Thanks!
How about a video with it squeaking before you started working on it?
Do you think my Maytag top loader is similarly built? Bet it’s my problem too
Thank you 🙏🏻
I’m doing diag on a gud27eesn0ww and I think this is it. I’d done the belt to no avail
Do you have to remove the entire tub or just the agitator to replace the transmission?
What model# is this washer? What oil does the gearcase use?
Mine is doing the exact same thing. Where did you get the new part?
Buy used for $100
Time for a new machine not worth fixing
For all that messing around you could buy a new one..
It feels good to repair things.....
Not everyone has the money to afford new everything when they break.
@@foeofmediocrity Yes, so you buy parts and open it up only to realize its complete crap and you have to buy a new one anyways.
@@eyesopen6110 Maybe. But also maybe not. We just fixed ours today with the help of this video by replacing parts and everything is fine and saved us a ton of money. So you can stop arguing for the sake of arguing now.
