I thought this as well, then you come to the realization that people don't actually care about being detected by grandpa since they have tons of ways to break chase and gain more benefits from just going fast. Plus it's effortless to stab grandpa.
@@GrrmPleaseWriteBut by the time he wakes up, usually everyone is getting out of the basement. And usually you don't even want to go into the basement because they can just escape behind you while you're all down there.
I feel like the bomb squad perk shouldn't exist, a perk that exists solely to counter the hitchhiker traps, it not only makes disarming traps faster, but it also removes the requirement to be carrying a bone shard to disarm it, which makes him almost useless. AND you can equip the perk when you see a hitchhiker, and remove it when he isn't there, since victims can see the family they play against
This applies vice versa too, a family member can see Leland and choose perks related to getting stunned, that being said, I agree. It’s like small game back when DBD first released that let you see Trapper’s traps, there shouldn’t exist perks that exclusively counter one character.
@sowhat2562I can tell you didn't watch the video because Scott literally said that the traps are useless even without perks or boneshard because you get out of it in a second. YOU obviously haven't played Hitchhiker.
@@SpiraloutGG you have to consider fact that hitchhiker is causing everyone to use 33% of their build to counter his power. you have to see as opportunity cost. As long people equip bomb squad, it means his power is threatening enough that people think they need perk to counter him. So in reality, the strength of his traps is not his traps but perk cost that he puts on team for being selected. that kind of strong because it denies value from potencial other perks that are more powerful and could be game-swinging against you.
The funny thing is, Cook's padlocks can't even stop it. Connie can just loot a second tool before she goes to pop that door, because there's a toolbox about 30 feet away, and mulch through both locks in 5 seconds because her ability lasts long enough to cheese multiple locks..
When Grandpa wakes up and the cut scene takes over the screen, as Killer you can get screwed. The worst is when you're chainsaw revving with Bubba and Grandpa gets woken up. You come out of the cut scene overheated even if you let go of button commands. The game just holds the rev during the cut scene and overheats you. It's just terrible how that Grandpa cut scene can completely destroy Killer tempo.
the biggest issue with this game right now is that its been out for less than a week and there are already cheats out at are completely free and everyone has access to them and they are insanely easy to use
yea the lobbies are lasting longer than most games!, the killers should'nt have to start objectives either the objectives should be started the killers alreayd have to much on their plate with blood collecting, crawl spaces to close, feeding grandpa, seting traps and checking obj constantly/ nosies and thats without EVEN chasing survivors yet lol!. this game is backwards family has to do more and they get less players. like NO ONE SHOULD DIE in the basement after they played this game for a while the loops in the BASEMENT are god mode vs leatherface!. so many open crack spaces its actually a bit absurd when u have like 3 or 4 chained together.
@@avrandlane2735Leatherface can still catch you off guard in the tunnels though. There aren’t any cracks or crawl spaces to go through. I also realized how the game will spawn the killers a mile away from the car battery on Slaughter House if you use cook and hitchhiker so there is so much time wasted running over to the battery to turn it on. A good team is easily out of the basement before that battery is on.
I wish the devs would try balancing the game correctly and making the game actually fun for survivors instead of overtuning every killer and releasing broken ones every 3 months or so. I won’t be playing until killers are nerfed
Door stunning shouldn't even be a mechanic when close encounters and sneak attacks exist, and are already incredibly easy to pull off. It is also very rare that a survivor loses a close encounter. Door *closing* in chase should be a last resort for distance gain before they are destroyed. Without stuns. They shouldn't be a fourth way for Leland to put the family members game on pause after a ability stun and two bone scraps.
What I find worst about Hitchhiker traps is that if you don't purchase the upgrade, even you yourself can't see which trap was triggered. So you just kinda have to guess which of the 3 locations to check
Special tip for any Hitchhikers out there: the "Dinner Bell" random perk that he can get a hold of highlights anyone who steps on the trap to the entire family for 15 seconds (and gives 20/40/60 stamina)! It's a better version of his T3 ability, but in a perk. Additionally, Cook also gets access to this perk (and Special Blend), enabling him to act as a 4th perk slot for Sissy and Hitchhiker (and a new killer who is coming along soon). But yeah, if you play Hitchhiker, absolutely get the Dinner Bell perk: it's a complete game-changer.
@@MichaelSmith-zo3tfdinner bell only effects hitchhiker so he is the only one who can see them. So if you’re in coms it’s very good otherwise you’re kinda on your own
@eoghanmaloney9561 Nope. Dinner Bell highlights victims caught in traps for the whole family. My brother runs Dinner Bell on Hitchhiker, and whenever a victim gets caught, I can see it too. And no, he doesn't have Hitchhiker's ability to lvl 3 yet so it isn't because of the lvl 3 upgrade.
To balance the fuse exit they should have the fuse burn out after the gate closes. This would effectively give the victims 3 fair shots at getting out through the basement if they fail to get there in time. The killers should also be able to shut it off manually in case the victims are on comms and already have someone waiting at the gate (though this would save the fuse from burning out). Let me know what y'all think!
Eh, I still think that first time is still way too quick, most games what happens is you can rush the fuse and in that first round half the team is out. I like his idea, but they have to make it so they also make it a more mid game esc escape by making it slower, I like this idea it’s almost like an ultimate attack in the form of an escape method, but just as much as it needs a long cool down, it needs a long start up time
Also you can stun lock bubba with two guys constantly stabbing him. So if they decide to activate the pressure valve and basement door, you are still f*cked.
Idea for reworking Connie's ability: Make it so it effectively gives her 30% more progress on unlocking per "click". So she basically "ignores" one third of every lock instead of just ignoring locks entirely and still allows her to be faster at unlocking without it being obtusely fast.
I'm a Johnny main so I'm going to speak on his behalf for a second. His tracking is far more useful than people make it out to be, at least for me. It's not pinpoint like cook, but cook can't CATCH the people he finds. Johnny is a slightly worse Bubba (no one shot, Bubba also has some perks that make him hard to escape from) but he's a slightly worse Bubba that can ALSO find your ass pretty reliably. I've never actually lost a game as Johnny (If a loss is more than two escapes). I will say though that Johnny has no sticking power, you can run him through gaps all day. So I'd like to see him get some buff to staying power, maybe a special interaction to yank a victim out of a gap. You could even make it into one of the struggle minigames so the victims can fight back and maybe give enough time for either another victim to help or another family member to come over. So you can't just get away for free next to a gap. Obviously having him be able to crawl through them would be too strong. Now onto the Connie issue. You stated the most prominent issues with her. When it comes to gas station though I think that is definitely more a problem with map design. Johnny actually spawns outside that door. So he has to open it up, go in, lock it behind him, open the next door, close it, and THEN I can play on the map. Even without Connie I think having just a single locked door between you and an exit is no bueno. Another game design thing I have major issue with is: WHY can you lockpick the electrified fence while the battery is active. It just doesn't make sense to me. You should have to power down the battery BEFORE you can pick the gate open. It'd be like sticking a fork into an outlet.
Gate itself is not electrified it's a sheet under it. I agree though, smart victims will always open the gate first then turn the generator/battery offline which gives family no time to react.
I like the idea of Johhny being able to grab survivors and have the button mash versus minigame. Having survivors crawl through right in your face is annoying especially because they are invincible when doing so.
@@OkFellowIt’s too OP imo. I think Johnny’s tracking ability should just be more efficient. Reading tracks should take half the time and maybe while he’s in track mode he runs slightly faster.
I think this would be a pretty damn good change, especially for the family. Maps are stupid confusing and a lot of the time I see people not knowing about whole parts of the map being there.
The changes the devs have made along with the most recent overpowered and busted killer makes the game in the most unhealthy state I’ve ever seen. I’m tired of being camped and tunneled by entitled killer mains. I’m done with this game, the devs need to make tunneling a bannable offense. The game just favors killers and I’m so tired of it. Ima just DDOS and use cheats, idc anymore.
That special gas station exit really needs to go, it was a cool secret at first but now it needs to either be deleted or make it also have an electric thing so you need to turn off the generator too
I've checked it out myself and it literally is just 2 doors Connie has to unlock to escape. She can literally insta pick a basement door, run up, pick the other door before the family arrives to set up at it, and then pick/insta pick the last door.
What they can do is maybe add a new obstacle for that specific door, where it’s boarded up and just like the generator, it will take 15-20 seconds to rip off for the victims. And have the family members just spawn in the room next door. It will at least delay the victims enough to make it not such an easy path, and give family members time to patrol it more often. A way to make this not so overpowered for the fam is to just make it unable to be boarded again once it’s off.
Yea I don't get why there's chain stuns. I'm sure it was just an oversight on the devs part, but there's so many crawlspaces and walls to go through. The door slams are basically just a troll at this point.
I remember starting a game as LF once and seeing a Leland run up to me while I was still in my cutscene and stun me. The fact that they have enough time to do that and get a free 10 second stun off to delay me is insane. Like imagine starting your game off stunned before you can even control your character.
@@freyasmixtape not sure about "nothing". I had people trying to do this against me. There is like two seconds when they can't stab you. I used those to move to corner or hide in a room and latching the door. Yeah i was literally fleeing from victims as Bubba lol. Also with T3 middle upgrade you can start your chainsaw and trade some hits for stuns. Still annoying to play against.
@@Abdoulaye1995 I meant there's nothing you can do while in the cutscene. People can find you before you can even move your character and start doing this as soon as you're able to play. If they have the perk 'choose fight' and high proficiency, they can keep you stun locked for a decent amount of time and have a new bone before you're out of the first stun. I think there's a second or so where they can't stab again but they are able to get right back behind Bubba before he can get anywhere. I haven't had it happen personally but I've watched people play who do this. It's not infinite or anything and harder to do if family is on comms but doesn't look like it would be much fun. I suppose insta-saw would help a bit for anyone who has it unlocked.
If you get Cook's ability up to level 3, you basically have legal wall hacks for the whole team to see victim auras. He's slow, so all you do is just give info to teammates and hope they do the killing.
Another complaint I have is when playing on some maps, both non-leatherface players will spawn on the same time which is especially bad on slaughter house. It forces you to walk all the way across the map through 3-4 locked doors to turn on the battery and then back to whatever your plan was. This takes almost a minute or two which by then the victims are already out of the basement.
I'd also add that personally I would love to have the aura reading on Family have some more colors to make identifying blood buckets from generators or car batteries easier from a distance.
The chain stunning and the speed at which victims can escape pretty much killed my enjoyment along with other things. Solo queueing as killer in this game makes survivor solo queue in DBD look amazing. I feel like while making this game they had to of thought Family was going to be a lot stronger than it is.
That's how most of these games are. Remember how survivor sided DbD used to be? Bhvr clearly expected survivors to be a lot weaker when they first made their game too
Agreed, one major change they must have is to make solo Que killer more bearable, I believe one change they should include is some kinda in game ping/quick message system. There is in game text chat (which it seems you can only use on pc, on console it seems you need a goofy keyboard on your controller, perhaps it’s a bug and you’re supposed to be able to press right stick when ever to chat), but still the killers should have a way to give concise and quick messages out with little work
@@theonlysinoda dbd atleast recently added more solo que improvements, and there’s more then enough perks and skills you could use to survive, and at the end of the day you got hatch. If you are solo que killer, and your teammates are completely donkey water, if your enemies aren’t complete donkey water good luck defending 4 different gates by yourself against 4 people
That perk that brings grandpa down FOUR entire levels is insanely stupid and game breaking. Either lower it to three or make it a specific character ability
whenever i play as family we make note to focus connie first because if we lose connie for more than 2 minutes she can and will just leave somehow lmao she's so crazy whereas if sonny is mia for 5m he MIGHT make basement or something
The downside to Connie is her stamina and health. She can die easily in a chase if you find her early. Some say Julie is a better version of Connie since she can do the same thing as her but better survivability.
I love johnny hes anti super safe stealth he prevents patient victims from waiting at certain exits for easy escapes like car battery ones which cook cant do
@@bipolarexpress9827 playing extremely sweat sucks the fun out of games and what I said doesn't change the fact that Johnny in some scenarios can prevent survivors from escaping from hiding near a exit
“You have to think about overall fun, not just fun for yourself” that statement in its self is how balance should work and something dead by daylight sorely lacks because theirs a lot of bullshit that killers and survivors have that are just miserable and it’s no wonder why the community is so 2 faced but it’s on the devs for being so fucking slow with fixing a lot of the main issues with their own game That’s why Texas chainsaw is a nice of breath of fresh air cause it’s ultimately pretty balanced
The thing about the DBD devs is that they honestly LIKE the problems within the game because it’s fun within their little group but completely unsuitable for public consumption. They like being able to bully the killer, being able to camp and being able to tunnel, they think it fits the ‘atmosphere’ of their game while completely failing to understand what a cesspool they have left behind. Sentiments like ‘You don’t have to outrun the killer, only the other survivors’ and ‘Insidious Bubba is pretty neat actually’ speak volumes on the mindset of these people. It’s borderline deranged and psychopathic how much they seem to like cruelty. Scott was talking about how spending 45 seconds doing nothing is bad game design? Try two minutes with a face camping Bubba and on top of that your game is 100% over unless you’ve got a coordinated team. The first can be excused cus it’s a new game and oversights can be forgiven, the second has been in the game for years and is one of the most obvious signs dbd will never be even passable. It’s designed to be a toxic cesspool and attract other toxic creatures to breed there, Even their proposed fix to camping won’t do anything against insidious Bubba because Bubba just downs them again with the chainsaw and back on the hook they go. It’s not a real fix because they don’t really want it fixed.
Playing against a Sissy with the poisoned knife; especially as a weaker character like Connie or Julie, feels very bad. Especially when she can maneuver through nearly every obstacle even if you try to get away.
The thing that makes Johhny viable for me is the guaranteed intel. Bubba can punish victims just as effectively but think about times when theres only one victim left, bubbas sprinting around with a loud ass chainsaw, he isnt finding that hidden Ana in a bush til she has a chance to find a pick near final exit. Johnny's great for catching that sneaky survivor taking their time making progress
Yep, he's good as a backup LF with really neat tracking. He's the only killer who can find some really sneaky survivors. Unfortunately, that makes him kinda niche.
@@Justmonika6969 yeah I've main'd him since day one and I only ever get abuse for playing him lol, especially hackusations bc apparently hes not meant to be useful lol
There’s more to him than being just “Worse Bubba” I mean for one he’s way easier and probably the easiest Family member in the game? His Ability obviously gives him nice tracking and with the level 3 upgrade even gives you detailed info on how recently victims were in the area (reminds me of Jackal from R6) and a small thing that wasn’t mentioned is unlike Bubba (and I think Cook?) Johnny can climb up or down the Ladders.
Honestly what you could’ve done in that map is have one person rotating on the rear exit gates and fuse box, another guard the front gates and fuse box, and the leather face guarding valve. There’s no way anyone gets out without getting caught. Sure maybe Connie gets an instant break out but it’ll only be 1 person out. You have to realize you need to play to your map’s strengths and weaknesses. That map specifically has a weakness serious weakness to the fuse box exit. Every time I’ve ever played that map the fuse has 100% of the time spawned directly next to the fusebox, which means if you leave it unguarded for 30 seconds, then you played yourself. There’s multiple entrances right back into the basement right next to the fuse box, so that’s a top priority on the list. You need good communication to always have someone watching it and never leaving it in watched for more than 10 seconds at a time, as soon as you’ve checked it, you should be rotating back to your station and the other family member should already be rotating back to the fuse box again.
With how long it takes to level up and how potentially powerful leveled perks and powers seem to be this game is going to be hell for new players in a few months
@@dirky1185 Cook is such a sleeper killer right now. Nobody plays him but those padlocks are so strong and once you get Scout 3 on him he can actually catch people
For Connie I think her ability instantly doing 1/3 of a lock without a downside would fix her issues without making her specialty being changed. They would have to rework her upgrades but that's basically going to happen no matter what since something has to be done about her ability.
I agree with most of these points right now you spend more time waiting for a game to start when people won't ready up then you do actually playing the game. Devs need to think of a way to make the round last longer so we can actually play instead of just waiting in lobbies
The gas station map is a serious issue. Not sure why you can just leave through the front door. Makes the generator thats right in that area completely useless. The fuse is also way to strong, and Connie needs to be tweaked. As it is right now this game feels very stacked against the family
While cook can listen to you through walls pinging victims to his team and pad lock essential exits, sissy can stun lock you with special blend guaranteeing a kill if it’s not an Ana, and bubba being able to not stall after his heavy attack so he can follow up with another attack making it a “one hit kill”. It’s so victim sided lol
I agree 100% the cut scene has to go for the killers at the beginning of the match because the victims are already out of the basement half of the time, meaning it's almost impossible to do anything as the killers. For example turning on the car battery to the exits, or gathering one bucket of blood for Grandpa and that doesn't include feeding him. Better yet before I'm outta the cut scene I've had some victims already halfway there to stabbing grandpa, unlocking main gates, grabbing Valves to the pressure tank, fuses, etc. My biggest complaint so far as a regular day to day gamer. I agree with 90% of what you said in this video, if they fixed these things the game Would improve significantly. 👍
IMO the best way to deal with Gas Station is to go Hitch and Cook, between the 2 of them they can lock down every objective (if you really wanna give the Gen side the middle finger, Cook can lock all 3 doors since no-one is kicking the gen lol) and before anyone says it you can camp the pump and use focus to see if victims disarmed anything only leaving when they do so.
Chainstuns with Bonescrap are still possible though. 2 guys usually Leland and another guy and then they keep you as a team stunlocked. You need at least one guy to help you out of it and then half of the map is unprotected. They need to add a cooldown to stuns in general. Maybe a couple of seconds. Then the other two just open the pressure valve and the fuse and there is nothing you can do.
Fusebox is my godsend as a solo survivor. People die way too fast for other exits to be feasible and without coordination other exits aren't pressured as hard for a clean escape with anything else. Either make the fusebox require 2 fuses or greater, or make it a single person exit that closes after one person goes through.
I actually really like your 2 fuses idea, and I won’t lie how over 70% of my escapes (which are solo que) are from the fuse. One thing I will say though, I don’t think the other exits are too hopeless even as a solo que, yes randoms suck and can die extremely fast, but if you’re efficient you can really make it out even still. Overall fuse is obviously the best way, and the suggestion about the 2 fuses might actually be I think now an amazing solution, but I still think it’s not by any means hopeless to go for anything else just won’t be that easy
Yeah i never really have that much fun on family. The whole time im just running around trying to find literally anyone instead of actively pursuing someone
i totally agree about the fuse box exit. ive had multiple games where ive hidden in the bushes outside the fuse box and just waited for the family to not be near gramps, just to make a shit ton of noise and pop anas ability to make it to the well and escape the basement for literally free
Haven't finished the video yet, but I hope you have a topic on cut scenes and lobby times. IMO they drag the sitting and doing nothing experience to an intolerable degree. Edit: Forgot to say, I like this game! It's fun.
Hard agree. It’s unbearable having to sit and wait for somebody to ready up for over 2 minutes just to get hit with a minute long intro sequence. Games can last the same amount of time as the lobby and cutscenes, it’s a hugeeee turnoff to what is otherwise a very fun game.
The only thing I can recommend for that last game you highlighted is to use middle mouse button to highlight where the fusebox and pressure valve boiler are. This tells you what your threats are. Knowing where the fusebox is at least includes it in your patrol path. Not to say that would have stopped this team, which seems to be using a newly forming meta of each survivor working on a separate exit, then all concentrating on the one that works (4 exits, 5 on that map, only 3 killers, math works in Victim's favor). Ultimately, the Family lost to RNG here. The pressure valve boiler spawned next to the ladder from basement (right after the Bubba block), and the fusebox was likely in the large house where grandpa tends to spawn. If the pressure valve boiler spawns inside the gated area with bullshit door (5th exit), then 3 exists are effectively blocked off with a single patrolling Family member on two very close doors; this way you are only concerned with battery exit and fusebox. I had an instance of the map where fusebox was on opposite wall of pressure valve boiler, which was right next to the two gates leading to generator; I was playing cook and had them locked. I was effectively stopping 4 exits, in my miniscule patrol path, and we still only killed two because the other killers let them slip by battery exit. For a competent Family, team'd on comms, that iteration of the map is unwinnable for Victim in my opinion without a very clever use of mechanics.
This game feels like a 5050 either the games is over in 2 minutes because Bubba killed everyone/ most people immediately escaped or it takes 10 minutes because the last survivor slowly struggles to do something until they eventually escape or die from teir 5 grandpa and these two options are assuming everyone doesn't just immediately dc which does happen alot
The basement and valve exits are problematic for sure and I think only one should exist and there is why. Victims get off their hook and rush to get their tools and bone shivs while family members are still in a cutscene. Once the family members finally start playing, the first things the non Leatherface players do is turning on the batterry, collecting blood in their path, padlocking doors, trapping and feeding grandpa. Meanwhile, Connie already unlocked a basement door and she's either; A: on her way to unlock a critical door, B: on her way to unlock a second basement door. Connie's little friends are either rushing the fuse or the valve forcing the family members to abandon what they are up to in order to attempt to defend one, leaving every other path unpatrolled and unguarded. While the family members collectively put effort into stopping a valve or basement escape, the victims get the opportunity to attempt the other one at ease. The gameplay quickly become focused on these two escape route, forcing the family members to guard em which leave actual gates completely unpatrolled. In the Family House map the valve exit is ouside so it is not problematic but in the other two maps, victims don't need to unlock a path in order to create that fuse/valve pressure issue.
Johnny needs some sort of secondary power. All the others have one. Bubba can break shit and sprint with a chainsaw Cook can listen and lock doors Hitchhiker can crawl and trap Sissy can crawl and poison Johnny can… just track footprints?
Sissy can even go inside of hiding spots so she has even more to her kit. It is weird Johnny only has that one ability, but I don’t have ideas on what a good secondary would be
I had a Connie on gas station pretty much get out only moments after grandpa got woken up through a gate that I had JUST CHECKED. I went to the back of the house, saw Cooks lock on the container bridge (so I didn't even walk all the way over) and walked back to recheck the gas station gates and the one in the back that I had passed two seconds prior was open. I gasped and told my team, but by the time I ran over to the door they were already out and bagging at the exit. I was flabbergasted, she must've been damn near max stealth and proficiency.
I think the maps are way more of an issue than you led on. They need to adjust all of them, like you said, you can open all the exits in maps in not even multiple minutes. The maps are built for your first time on them when they are confusing dark labyrinths. But people aren't confused or lost now and there's maps posted online. Like you said the most efficient victim route is better than the best family route every time. You can argue you should change the characters which might bandaid the issues but that leaves them vulnerable to the release of new characters still.
I really hope they dont nerf the maps the game will become really sweaty if every victim has to be on comms the whole time. Much more fun when you can solo getaway. fusebox and connie need a nerf but otherwise keep the game casual and chill.
@@papercat5829 but even if you nerf the fuse and Connie you can still Max attribute stealth and proficciency and just get out like 10 seconds later. It's a fundamental flaw in the map design. There simply shouldn't be any route out of any map that is completable that quickly.
are the maps randomly generated or are they the same with the exit gates in the same places and vaults and cracks. because if the maps aren't randomly generated i can see this game getting really sweaty with everyone knowing the paths and exit gates and making optimal escape routes.
@@Kerps123 most stuff is static except for the items victims can collect and grandpa/blood location. Doors are always the same. So are vaults and cracks and holes.
All amazing points. Hopefully Gun watches this. I like how a lot of victim players will teabag as well after doing a cheesy escape that you can't stop, and it's like "what?" Yes, go ahead and make an unfun match even less fun 🤦♂️
Something should be done with the shimmy spaces for survivors, either bubba should be able to disable some of them OR just make this thrust actually work.
@@CamJackel True, I incapacitated a victim doing this just the other day. Very spotty but it works. I could've sworn bubba could destroy some or all of them during the technical test, or maybe it's always been crawl spaces. I may be misremembering.
*this comment contains spoilers for the leaked upcoming family member* The next killer, I believe she's called Black Nancy, will have the ability to trap these spaces with unique traps, so the devs are at least aware of how strong they are
@@Unending_Joyspoiler? I believe it, I seen somewhere they have new Fam and Victims plus cosmetics in the works, just Bugs and server issues are priority
When I started playing the game I got lost a lot in the maps and the victims always escaped me, yesterday I stopped playing because it was so boring to kill all the time.
Something I'd love to see is Grampa starts asleep at level 5, and slowly starts delevelling to 0 the longer he sleeps, and retains the level he wakes up at, so if you try and rush you're going all or nothing against a level 3-5 grampa, if he's woken up by being fed blood or a victim death, then he'll be level 1 if fed, level 0 if its a kill They could take the perk that delevels grampa more when stabbed, but at least that has easier counterplay
I had a Leland run behind the bubba mid opening cutscene after he broke free and he kept getting bone scraps and infinitely sneak attacking the bubba. He was completely stun locked for the first 2 minutes and the only thing that stopped it was Leland missing the bone scrap by a second and the rest of the family coming to help. It was awful.
I think they wanted to make him a mix of bubba’s strength with at the same time he has the tracking ability to hone down someone, judging by these characteristics and his general character bio they wanted to make him a kinda lone wolf esc killer who has the ability to do everything. But this just doesn’t work even in the slightest, you cant be a lone wolf as killer you won’t get any decently competent survivor, especially if you aren’t a chaser esc killer like hitchhiker and sissy good luck
I don't know about you but when I'm playing Johnny and victim crosses paths with me, they're dead. Unless there's a gap or crawl space nearby, they're dead.
You don't know how to use it today good Jhonny players killed me 4 times in a row, they didn't run out of stamina they ran more than me and they gave me 5 hits in a row I couldn't even run and I couldn't get to safe places op
I hardly dissagree with the Stealth relevance at early game. As long grandpa is still sleeping the other two family members cannot enter the basement nor Bubba cant get out of it. Characters like Jonny with no set up power can just storm into basement and help Leatherface if you wake up grandpa right away while the last family member can keep an eye on the entrances with their set up and team call outs (Locks and traps)
Nothing to say about Family House? It feels like in my experience 3 stacking as family and victims that the only real viable escape option is the fuse. Family wins feel like a guarantee when I play and escaping feels like a rarity
Just use Ana as distraction jumping out of window. She takes almost no damage with her ability or a perk and creates big pressure on family. It will lure at least one family member outside the house
Yeah I feel that. Especially cause they can just watch from the window from house to see if you are doing anything in the back field. Even worse when generator spawns by the shack so you can stand right there and guard two exits with one killer while the other two exits can be camped
I think fuses should short out and valves should break after being used. The family should have time to turn both off BUT the fuse/valve is only consumed if the exit is successfully opened. Which means they’re guaranteed 3 successful openings if they can manage. Also fuse should make a sound similar to the pressure valve to let you know it’s been activated.
they could probably give johnny a buff where blood is trackable sort of like a cook ping and possibly let him break/remove valves and fuses because he's stronger than everyone except bubba while being smarter than him + there's multiple fuses and valves so even if he's able to break them victims can still use the same exit
Make it so the footstep reveal part of his power is a passive and you activate it by actually investigating a footprint trail. Also making him nimble or at least at minimum be allowed to do standing crawl spaces would make him so much better.
There is a lot that could have happened differently here. 1. Johnny is garbage. 2. As soon as the first door is open Bubba should have been up top to defend. 3. They did not locate fuse box nor valve at start of the game to coordinate defense. They left those two completely defenseless 4. They did not use family vision to see people who are making too much noise. 5. Defense set up is 1 person gen side, 1 person battery side, 1 person valve/fuse. That includes Johnny not chasing people half way across the map. In this situation valve and fuse were next to each other and would have been very easy for Bubba to defend. Simple fact in that match is that an uncoordinated and bad family team played against a very coordinated victim team.
Try lvl3 cook perk All Family See Noise. You can spam focus a single survivor and get infinite aura reading because the lingering duration adds up each focus for some reason. I would not say that it is OP, you need to spend the whole bar to get aura reading that long and victim can counter it by just simply crouching, but still, it is what it is
100% agree on everything. Victims definitely op. You're forced to pick cook every game and that doesn't even solve the issue. I play mainly victim and have played a fair amount of family it's definitely not fair and nothing you can do. I probably have about the average amount of hours as most players who have played more than one day and most of that is split evenly between the roles. Everything else in the video I 100% agree with but I think the most important thing is how easy it can be to escape even without Connie. 50 proficiency with the perk that gives you a chance to not consume a lockpick is enough alone. You just rush and the family can't do anything if everyone else does the same.
I think the strength of bubbas 1 hit build and sissy’s 1 hit build needs to be accounted for when talking about strength or Connie. If bubba can kill 1 person at the start (very likely) and maybe 2 (common-ish) changes how strong Connie is. 2 people can sit in these areas while someone looks around and it’s almost impossible to get out if they have as much map knowledge as you. I don’t really agree with the victim sided. I’m not losing. Ive played with multiple brand new players and I’m still winning. Yah if a full swf push I’ll likely lose. But if I find 1 I find them all most of the time and that instantly halts the plan. But 3 people all together being optimized is unfair. But it doesn’t happen as much when you just find them. I play bubba a lot and it matters if you have a good bubba. I’d like to see bubbas perspective in the video. As they seemed to face no resistance.
Let us know how fair Connie feels when you’re level 35+ going against experienced players. A bubba player thinking bubba needs a nerf is funny. If bubba is so strong how come nobody seems to want to play them in soloQ
@@bipolarexpress9827 I don’t have that issue. And I’m going against 27-35 ish players. As bubba I target Connie at the start of the match. I play with a cook who can just find her for me and I go kill her.
Fuse exits have more steps required than the Valve which is just pick up install and interact; the fuse is get a lockpick, get a fuse, open the Box, install Fuse, Fuse Minigame. Not to mention you can Hitchhiker trap multiple avenues to the fuse box (usually more easily guardable than the Valve) and leave 50 second Sissy clouds on it. It just takes a prior understanding that Fuse is the most powerful exit on ONE particular map and needs extra attention. Last clip of killers losing to Fuse was just good victims and shit family; dude was playing Johnny and patrolling gates, didnt use the Focus ability a single time to identify the map objectives no Cook on the team on the most lockpick reliant map. if you SoloQ Cook with a Mic and are a competent player with an understanding of the best exits on each Map you’ll find it very easy to win games even playing with Noob Family teammates
Can't tell if you are saying this as in Zubat is in favor or against the door stuns. Seems like you are saying he's in favor of them which wouldn't surprise me at all, it's Zubat.
Zubat's perspective on fun in games isn't really something new. He is one that enjoys bullying people for the sake of his own fun. It doesn't matter if it's dbd or this game
Yeah I agree. The fuse door tic tok pretty much broke 80% of the games I played Friday night. I'm gonna try to play again today (Sunday) but hopefully emails to GUN and SUMO will help them move forward with a fix.
Even if bubba body locks he has to really time his chainsaw well to down someone. If he goes for a regular unrevved swing he’ll be out of the way and a survivor with decent health can just slip past
Bubba body blocking fuse exit is dumb. You can’t just simply run past him. The only way is if another killer hits you from behind making you phase through bubba on the rag doll. That’s it
Sissy's attacks are having those effects without any perks! : Concussion - blurry screen Drunk - weird movement Slow - every hit slows them by 10% Noise notification Johnny has only concussion effect on hits. And as I said you don't need Rubber Legs and Special Blend, it is her passive ability. I looked at the code and as Johnny she has special melees.
As for Johnny, I main him and Bubba. I have lvl 3 ability and perks: Fired Up - let's me get stamina super fast Scout - I am faster Serrated - dmg over time Johnny has the best animations of attacks and with this build you can check bushes by sprint attacking. Furthermore his ability is one of the best as he can check if someone is still around objectives if they are stealthy. His chase power is strong as it is impossible to lose him as long as he has his power and knows the map. I am constantly getting 3 kills with him. As for ability perks I have: Clue range Decrease tracking cost Analyze clues faster - he gains new animation where he doesnt crouch, he just looks down.
Yeah I'm not sure why they think the stun thing is ok. It's not fun for the poor guy standing there for 45 seconds and can't do anything. I also hope they put in more maps and wish they had map rng. Everyone has already figured out how to do everything efficiently so I feel like people are gonna get bored.
I had a match where 3 victims were at exit but decided to take turns stunning me. Leeland with his abbility, multiple bone picks. It definitely was not fun and I couldn't move at all
I think Leatherface is woefully underpowered, especially since he is a mandatory character. It seems that basement phase ought to be one of the most dangerous and stressful phases for survivors, but good (and even mediocre) survivors are easily close to invincible until assistance comes down (good teams will be out before then, usually grabbing a fuse), even if you catch them in the open. To this, I suggest a few quick tweaks, with the first being removing some of the slide throughs (not all) and some of the vaults to all in all still make it still hard for family, and still have some 'infinites' when there's just Leather down there, but not everything would be invincible for survivors. I believe that survivor interactions should be slower when grabbing bone or lock picks. I have been chained stabbed by a Leland after a charge multiple times, or door stunned into bone stab for what feels like forever. And with button mashing survivors will instantly have two lock picks or bones if they so wish with no counter play, in fact, a decent stealth build makes it impossible to catch them in action as even with max speed they can grab their items. I think Scott is right on with Hitchiker as he is in desperate need of a buff, same with Johnny (maybe allow him to fall down wells?). I think Gas Station 'free door' needs something changed as well. Fuzes are obviously overpowered as well.
I completely disagree, Leatherface is one of the scariest characters to have chasing you once he is leveled up and perked out. His rev ability is crazy strong, because the "rev run" he does at 50%+ makes him crazy fast, the attack hits super hard, and he can use it to sprint even after running out of stamina. With the right build, Leatherface can oneshot people with the rev run attack, and even before that he can get a single swipe into a rev run for a kill. If he catches you out in the open or he outsmarts you just one time in a chase, you are dead.
@@bonehed1 No, I get that. I actually main Leatherface. But the basement phase is so aggravating as it just feels like a useless waste of time at the start of game, against good survivors you are useless. I don't think you need to buff his powers, his stats are strong, you need to balance certain aspects of map design down in the basements to make him feel like an actual threat in the beginning rather than a joke.
Honestly this is one of those rare videos where I absolutely agree with everything that you said in a singular video. This game needs some TREMENDOUS balance changes. Another issue i think is worth mentioning is I-frames are WAY TOO generous on wall cracks. There is no reason as to why the survivor should PHYSICALLY still be on the same side as you, but all they did was press Y to become invincible for a period of time.
yea that invincibility is weird. it would be like if survivors vaulting a pallet had I frames. just doesn't feel right when my chainsaw is making contact but they are just casually going through the crack.
@@Kerps123 that’s another thing. If they physically went through the crack faster I’d be slightly more okay with it. But they just casually stroll as slowly through a crack as possible, while they’re invincible. I’d rather no I-frames but quicker movement speed through crawl spaces and cracks.
gotta love getting out of the CUTSCENE and you have a survivor ALREADY BEHIND U and you haven't even started your chainsaw yet that itself is huge balance issues they need to fix.
I think a change that might help in several ways is to make the basement phase longer. Maybe add an objective the victims have to complete before they can unlock the basement doors or something. Admittedly redesigning the basement would be a pretty involved change, but it would help the family actually have setup time, balance out the speed at which Grandpa is fed, as well as indirectly decreasing the strength of Connie's power just a little (though she would still need a nerf).
The whole game just seems to consist of a series of flow charts where victims either come out ahead or they come out even more ahead unless they make massive mistakes or don't know where they're going on a map. Take door stunning for example, I slam doors on victims all the time as they try to infinite door stun me but it results in them just being invincible on the ground for a while and regain their stamina back while I can't even hit them, meanwhile if they stun me the chase is over. There's no winning scenario for family in many situations. Good video. It's actually even worse than he says in terms of balance (played over 100 hours of family so far as of a week from release) and I would be shocked if the game survives long in this state if the devs sleep on it, especially with the very limited progression and huge hacker infestation (today had roughly 3/5 lobbies with hackers in them, some blatant, some I leave before it starts, some that hid it until the end aka subtle cheaters)
I don’t know, sissy stunlocking you with special blend and rubber legs is pretty oppressive. I can’t ever get the door slams to work anyway cause it’s buggy. I’ll run into the door and it’ll just open it, not slam. Don’t know what cheat code I gotta put in to do that. Backstabs are buggy too. The prompt doesn’t display half the time when you take the killers back which is pretty annoying. Cook having two abilities is stupid too. I get he has low endurance, but that doesn’t mean anything when he can just equip scout and run hella fast. Why does this old geezer with a broom handle have 35 base savagery? That’s dumb. He should have a high base blood harvest, not savagery
@@Neseku and i do but you can literally do the fuse escape in under 5 seconds so it is so easy to do it once a family member leaves it. that should not be a thing lmfao
I haven't watched yet but curious to see if some issues I felt, turn up in his video. 1. Server issues. I play in games with people from all over the world. Constantly I'm kicked suddenly and randomly for "ping too much to play" or something strangely worded like that. 2. Crash issues. I've crashed about 3 or 4 times. My PC friends also crash. 3. Issues with having friends all connect to my lobby. Sometimes they just can't join for whatever reason and have to restart their game. Gameplay / balance issues. 1. Connie is stupid. Her power makes the game boring and gives survivors a free escape. Games are too fast with her in them. 2. Gas stations free escape is stupid. 3. Someone HAS to be Bubba to play a game. Queue times can go on for ages because simply people don't want to be forced to play this one specific character. Not sure what can be done about this though as he's kind of important for map / game balance.
It's a method of applying pressure to the whole. By saying "spend x seconds rescuing this guy or be down a man for the rest of the match." Not super fun for the hooked person, but in a 4v1 the Killer *needs* ways to tie up Survivors.
@@LeQuack147Fair, but i personally preferred how Evil Dead always made it engaging. Survivors had to literally fight for their lives, so if one left themselves they became a liability and an easy kill. Tho as much as I love the game the progression is abysmal, took 30 hours to prestige one character a single time, and unlike most games the prestige system gives you more levels to have so it’s a needed thing to not get bodied
The first fix they need to do is let the "support" family members start at the same time as victims. Why we have to watch Bubba's cutscene and then our own while victims are already escaping I don't know.
Because this is a casual party game and not intended for competitive gameplay, The cutscenes are atmospheric and help with immersion. If you want a game with competitive balancing, you should play Dead by Daylight - Oh nvm, you left that game for NFT's Playtime 😂
Honestly i feel like if they made the basement less safe with crawl spaces and vaults the game would be in a far better state. Bubba could get to the victims quicker and pick one off, thus making it 3v3 and in family favor
Right on point! I didn't even know the victims were able to move during the cutscene until recently. You call attention to many, important issues and, especially, killer XP. This poor hitchhiker in one match somehow walked away with 0 XP.
i *really* hate being forced to watch a long cutscene every time i load in as family. ESPECIALLY as bubba when i hear stuff going on and cant do anything about it.
I mean it's to give time to run away. I've literally spawned next to leatherface plenty of times imagine if he can immediately move. However it shouldn't be as long as it is now
@@umbra807Ill agree spawning next to bubba without the cutscene would be bad but that seems like it could be changed if the cutscene was taken away. A good middle ground might be victims making a loud noise will premtively end the cut scene since stealth not mattering during that cutscene is an issue idk.
It took them exactly 90 seconds to open two exits. Guess what else you can do in 90 seconds? Repair a generator in DBD by holding M1. Which is something nobody really finds interesting to do. These games are actual memes with their non-interactive gameplay aspects but for some reason I still love them both.
I agree with everything you said, ive got stunlocked on a door and the victim could even tbag me before restunning me. You didnt talk about Lelands power that says work on family member EXCEPT Leatherface but you still get slammed by Leland as Bubba.
I’ve played matches of sissy on gas station where by the time the starting cutscene was over and I turn on the car battery 10 feet away Connie was already out of the front of the gas station across the map with the three stooges following behind her before I could even get to the gate to leave my starting area. That and half your games you don’t have time to collect blood because the pace of the game in its current state. Feels bad
Let's not forget about grandpas cutscene also just stopping everyone playing the game. And if it happens at the wrong time to Bubba, it forces him to stall his chainsaw due to over rev during the cutscene. I have lost multiple chases due to grandpa jumpscare. I understand why he must be stabbed
One of the worse parts of killer point gain is that there's no reward for collecting from buckets and there's a weird disparity with feeding Grandpa: you get only 10 points if you feed Grandpa without leveling him regardless of how much blood you give him, and you get hundreds of points for getting him past a level up threshold. It discourages you from feeding Grandpa unless it gets him past the next threshold. As for Hitchhiker's traps, using damage specialization with Venom can cause a rather impressive amount of damage, something like 80 damage altogether.
You don't even need Connie for the gas station exit, I was playing Sonny the other day and just spam opened it when the killer left for like legit only 10 seconds.
Also worse then the door stun bubba can be bullied really hard in the basement with infinite stun loops making it so he can't even move because the stun is longer then it takes to grab bones and repeat
Even if you closed the panel the fuse would still be in there, and just need the breaker popped again. If they removed the fuse then there would need to be more fuses around the map since at that point they’d be disposable. Sure it’s frustrating when people just start escaping through the tunnel, but it’s just as frustrating having the family bogard all the other exit choke points.
I wanted to go into this game with the mindset of "I'm gonna be like TCM2 Bubba and be kinda nice" I didn't anticipate getting bullied/not seeing a person until they insta escape.
3 fuses is a bit much. 2 seems more fair. Connie's skill needs to be halved. Rubber Legs should be 10, 12, 15% instead of 10, 15, 20%. Johnny needs 10% movement speed when tracking. Basement doors should be doubled locked. Cheese door should be double locked.
A big complaint I have right now is the fact that there are no servers for people in New Zealand and Australia. I keep getting booted in the middle of matches because of high ping and I have seen so many people having the same complaint. It’s making the game unplayable for a lot of people right now and I hope they address the issue.
They should NOT allow players to exit lobby at the end and having their identity disappear with them. There should be a "last played with" even if players or crossgen. To report them after games. They cheat then quickly exit before they can be reported.
Scotts biggest complaint about playing as the family: you can't stab grandpa.

Stealth isn’t worthless at the start. If grandpa wakes up, the whole family can enter the basement
I thought this as well, then you come to the realization that people don't actually care about being detected by grandpa since they have tons of ways to break chase and gain more benefits from just going fast. Plus it's effortless to stab grandpa.

It's just terrible how that Grandpa cut scene can completely destroy Killer tempo.

yea the lobbies are lasting longer than most games!, the killers should'nt have to start objectives either the objectives should be started the killers alreayd have to much on their plate with blood collecting, crawl spaces to close, feeding grandpa, seting traps and checking obj constantly/ nosies and thats without EVEN chasing survivors yet lol!. this game is backwards family has to do more and they get less players. like NO ONE SHOULD DIE in the basement after they played this game for a while the loops in the BASEMENT are god mode vs leatherface!. so many open crack spaces its actually a bit absurd when u have like 3 or 4 chained together.
I think it depends on the map. Family house obviously harder on victims. Gas station feels balanced, slaughter House depends on the group.
Stunning a killer with a door should just break the door.
I actually really like this suggestion
Door stunning shouldn't even be a mechanic when close encounters and sneak attacks exist, and are already incredibly easy to pull off. It is also very rare that a survivor loses a close encounter.
Door *closing* in chase should be a last resort for distance gain before they are destroyed. Without stuns.
They shouldn't be a fourth way for Leland to put the family members game on pause after a ability stun and two bone scraps.
Ah, a fellow Propnight enjoyer I see you have good taste.
Me too I like it, it’s cute
Add a set amount of uses before breaking, but yeah.
What I find worst about Hitchhiker traps is that if you don't purchase the upgrade, even you yourself can't see which trap was triggered.
So you just kinda have to guess which of the 3 locations to check
Yeah I feel like basekit Hitchhiker is significantly weaker than what his builds allow. He goes from C tier to A tier IMO with just the right perks.
You can use family sense to see which trap was triggered but of course that isn't always available to you if you're playing smart.
Yes I really like this idea. We really need more suggestions like these, and hope the devs see 😁
Eh, I still think that first time is still way too quick, most games what happens is you can rush the fuse and in that first round half the team is out. I like his idea, but they have to make it so they also make it a more mid game esc escape by making it slower, I like this idea it’s almost like an ultimate attack in the form of an escape method, but just as much as it needs a long cool down, it needs a long start up time
I think there should be less fuses in map.
Also you can stun lock bubba with two guys constantly stabbing him. So if they decide to activate the pressure valve and basement door, you are still f*cked.
Dumb idea
Idea for reworking Connie's ability: Make it so it effectively gives her 30% more progress on unlocking per "click". So she basically "ignores" one third of every lock instead of just ignoring locks entirely and still allows her to be faster at unlocking without it being obtusely fast.
I can't believe Scott spent so much of this video victim blaming

@@zbeater4656 good job missing the joke :)
@@zbeater4656 the joke is that this game’s survivors are called “victims”

The changes the devs have made along with the most recent overpowered and busted killer makes the game in the most unhealthy state I’ve ever seen.
There's a side crack so it's really one door
@@paulpsycho78 The side crack doesn't really do anything, because the door you're skipping with it isn't locked (unless cook padlocks it lmao)
@@bonehed1I padlocked that door as cook not realizing there was a side crack and 3 people escaped 😂
Like imagine starting your game off stunned before you can even control your character.
i thought lelands stun didnt last 10 seconds on leatherface
@@steaketc2476 With T3 power upgrade, perk which gives +5 seconds to stun durations and maxed out strenght he can.
Yeah and if there's a bone pile nearby and they know what they're doing they can just repeatedly stab you and there's nothing you can do about it.
Its kinda funny how cook went from the weakest of the family, to the family being handicapped without him
He was never the weakest, people just hate playing as him because he's slow. Cook's padlocks have always been great
And he's been my main right from the beginning lol
Cook walks funny, I play, simple as
If you get Cook's ability up to level 3, you basically have legal wall hacks for the whole team to see victim auras. He's slow, so all you do is just give info to teammates and hope they do the killing.
@bigjabroni2455 there is a perk that can increase his speed up to 15%...at the expense of damage output reduction.
Yeah, it’s really stupid. Both killers should spawn at the generator/battery.
I'd also add that personally I would love to have the aura reading on Family have some more colors to make identifying blood buckets from generators or car batteries easier from a distance.
OMG YES! Like all those white outlines be blending together....
There is in game text chat (which it seems you can only use on pc, on console it seems you need a goofy keyboard on your controller, perhaps it’s a bug and you’re supposed to be able to press right stick when ever to chat), but still the killers should have a way to give concise and quick messages out with little work
Nah you're crazy dbd solo queue is pure suffering cuz you need your teammates no matter what
@@theonlysinoda dbd atleast recently added more solo que improvements, and there’s more then enough perks and skills you could use to survive, and at the end of the day you got hatch. If you are solo que killer, and your teammates are completely donkey water, if your enemies aren’t complete donkey water good luck defending 4 different gates by yourself against 4 people
It would be as bad if you could get people on comms. That makes it a lot easier even with the rush squads
That perk that brings grandpa down FOUR entire levels is insanely stupid and game breaking. Either lower it to three or make it a specific character ability
As a connie main, this is totally fair. Her power is strong af.
busted af*
its not even just her power, its that on top of the fact she can already pick locks so fast without it lmao

whereas if sonny is mia for 5m he MIGHT make basement or something
Everyone is a Connie main tbh
The downside to Connie is her stamina and health. She can die easily in a chase if you find her early. Some say Julie is a better version of Connie since she can do the same thing as her but better survivability.

“You have to think about overall fun, not just fun for yourself”
that statement in its self is how balance should work and something dead by daylight sorely lacks because theirs a lot of bullshit that killers and survivors have that are just miserable and it’s no wonder why the community is so 2 faced but it’s on the devs for being so fucking slow with fixing a lot of the main issues with their own game
That’s why Texas chainsaw is a nice of breath of fresh air cause it’s ultimately pretty balanced
It’s designed to be a toxic cesspool and attract other toxic creatures to breed there,
Even their proposed fix to camping won’t do anything against insidious Bubba because Bubba just downs them again with the chainsaw and back on the hook they go.
And that's how his power is broken, it's like if in DBD you left scratch marks no matter what, no counter unless you pick Julie
@@aMissingPerson_thats why I Main Julie. I let no one destroy my stealthy approach
Bruh the biggest issue is see is that people do not know what the he'll they are doing and blame the game because they suck

Agree
Another thing is they need to remove the pre game lobby, I’ve spent more time there than the actual game
Fr. It’s absurd how long it takes to start a game.
i totally agree about the fuse box exit. ive had multiple games where ive hidden in the bushes outside the fuse box and just waited for the family to not be near gramps, just to make a shit ton of noise and pop anas ability to make it to the well and escape the basement for literally free
Being the leatherface should award 100% bonus points to avoid the backing out
The basement and valve exits are problematic for sure and I think only one should exist and there is why.
Bubba can break shit and sprint with a chainsaw
Cook can listen and lock doors
Hitchhiker can crawl and trap
Sissy can crawl and poison
Johnny can… just track footprints?
Sissy can even go inside of hiding spots so she has even more to her kit. It is weird Johnny only has that one ability, but I don’t have ideas on what a good secondary would be
Hitch and Sissy can also crouch in the weeds
On the plus side Johnny is fast as hell. Kind of an underrated aspect of him, he's probably the fastest killer besides Bubba when he is at high rev
@@bonehed1 Doesn't matter if there is a crack in the wall

I think car battery starting on like gen does would also be a nice QOL change to help Family set up
Something I'd love to see is Grampa starts asleep at level 5, and slowly starts delevelling to 0 the longer he sleeps, and retains the level he wakes up at, so if you try and rush you're going all or nothing against a level 3-5 grampa, if he's woken up by being fed blood or a victim death, then he'll be level 1 if fed, level 0 if its a kill
They could take the perk that delevels grampa more when stabbed, but at least that has easier counterplay

That sounds so unfun
I had a Leland run behind the bubba mid opening cutscene after he broke free and he kept getting bone scraps and infinitely sneak attacking the bubba. He was completely stun locked for the first 2 minutes and the only thing that stopped it was Leland missing the bone scrap by a second and the rest of the family coming to help. It was awful.
Glad you pointed out Johnny. Tried him out a few times but he really does just feel like a shittier Cook.
@tonyadobe1904 yeah it threw me off once i found out he can't chase through cracks/gates. His passive is just too slow for the game right now imo.
Yeah Johnny tracking power is actually OP. It lasts forever and victims can't counter it only Julie can.
Bro most definitely needs a buff by far the weakest family member imo
There is a lot that could have happened differently here.
1. Johnny is garbage.
2. As soon as the first door is open Bubba should have been up top to defend.
3. They did not locate fuse box nor valve at start of the game to coordinate defense. They left those two completely defenseless
Last clip of killers losing to Fuse was just good victims and shit family; dude was playing Johnny and patrolling gates, didnt use the Focus ability a single time to identify the map objectives no Cook on the team on the most lockpick reliant map. if you SoloQ Cook with a Mic and are a competent player with an understanding of the best exits on each Map you’ll find it very easy to win games even playing with Noob Family teammates

definitely agree on the fusebox. Have no idea why they let the valve be turned off but can’t turn off the fusebox.
@sowhat2562 if bubba wants to throw the game and stay down there while they break the generator or turn off the car battery then sure lol
Even if bubba body locks he has to really time his chainsaw well to down someone. If he goes for a regular unrevved swing he’ll be out of the way and a survivor with decent health can just slip past
@sowhat2562Bubba being forced to bodyblock a single basement exit means he can't guard the many other exits, so nice try, but no.
@sowhat2562 also leland can just tackle you and run past you
Bubba body blocking fuse exit is dumb. You can’t just simply run past him. The only way is if another killer hits you from behind making you phase through bubba on the rag doll. That’s it
Wish the devs could see this video, your concerns are on point, it outlines perfectly what is currently wrong with the game mechanics and balance
Sissy's attacks are having those effects without any perks! :
Concussion - blurry screen
Drunk - weird movement
Slow - every hit slows them by 10%
Noise notification
Johnny has only concussion effect on hits.
And as I said you don't need Rubber Legs and Special Blend, it is her passive ability.
I looked at the code and as Johnny she has special melees.
As for Johnny, I main him and Bubba.
I have lvl 3 ability and perks:
Fired Up - let's me get stamina super fast
Scout - I am faster
Serrated - dmg over time
Johnny has the best animations of attacks and with this build you can check bushes by sprint attacking.
Furthermore his ability is one of the best as he can check if someone is still around objectives if they are stealthy.
His chase power is strong as it is impossible to lose him as long as he has his power and knows the map.
I am constantly getting 3 kills with him.
As for ability perks I have:
Clue range
Decrease tracking cost
Analyze clues faster - he gains new animation where he doesnt crouch, he just looks down.
U can literally just walk away
@@lt_haffy they don't give you enough time to recover before getting stunned again
@@lt_haffydo you know what stunlocking is ?
I had a match where 3 victims were at exit but decided to take turns stunning me. Leeland with his abbility, multiple bone picks. It definitely was not fun and I couldn't move at all
@@lt_haffyNo...you can't.
He should have a high base blood harvest, not savagery
ive always said the fuse escape should only be available to the last 2 victims or the last victim
Maybe stop only focusing on the outer exits and consider patrolling the other exits 🗿🗿🗿
Or make not unavaliable until 5 minute mark or something.
1:11 "There is never a scenario in which removing player agency for like 45 seconds is ever a good idea"
dbd survivors on hook:
The Chain Stun issue is easily solved by diminishing returns. Basically half the efficiency 2 or 3 times and then on the 4th, immunity.
Honestly i feel like if they made the basement less safe with crawl spaces and vaults the game would be in a far better state. Bubba could get to the victims quicker and pick one off, thus making it 3v3 and in family favor
THIS GAME IS A TON OF FUN👍On both sides, cant believe I hesitated when buying now
Right on point!
Feels bad
I wasn't going to watch this cuz I was worried what you're going to say but everything you said is really on point
Having to turn on the car battery isn’t the worst thing but it’s annoying,I think the car battery should already be on just like the generator
I mean family house is practically impossible to escape from if you don't use the fuse, especially if family is running hitchhiker and cook
I wanted to go into this game with the mindset of "I'm gonna be like TCM2 Bubba and be kinda nice" I didn't anticipate getting bullied/not seeing a person until they insta escape.
Tool boxes should have a cool down on them to limit being able to grab 2 tools within 10 seconds.
