We also compare it to Chick Fil A nugget ice to see how it stacks up against the KINGS of nugget ice!
Overall I was pleased with this product, but in PURE TRANSPARENCY it was given to me for free in exchange for the review! I do not believe it is work $449, however if you can snag one for around $300 it's a great little appliance especially if you don't already have an icemaker or if you want one for a party.

Thanks for the good review. Hey quick question tho, during the cleaning routine, why would you "lug it around" to drain it? Is there some reason you can't just drain it back into the kettle you poured from? Or another kettle / container the same size? Why would you move the machine? Am I missing something?
Good question. I don't intend to keep it on my counter top so moving it around is a necessity. But for those that want to just place it somewhere and that's where it lives, it'll be less of an issue.
A better ice comparison would be between Sonic nugget ice and Gevi nugget ice. Chick-fil-A ice is known as chewblet ice made by a Follett nugget ice machine. The nuggets are bigger than Sonic and Gevi ice nuggets.

Don’t waste your money on the Gevi ice maker. I’ve had mine replaced twice and they all have the same problems. Would not recommend.
Sorry to hear you're having problems with yours. What kind of issues were you having? For what its worth mine is beginning to melt the ice prematurely.
