Stranger is a weird one. I rarely listen to the individual songs as this album has some kind of continuity and it almost needs to be listened from start to end. Also, knowing the history behind all of stranger makes it a really different experience. As you said, you can't relate with lean because you don't live his life and knowing what he has been through and what lead to making this album, locked in with his friend in a cabin in the swedish woods for weeks, it makes for a intimate experience. You should really look up some of lean's lore because it's pretty wild stuff. There's even a documentary on youtube but I don't blame you if you wont watch, it's an hour long and it's really a time investment. 8 God Global 🌍

This album is definitely to be enjoyed with headphones on and eyes closed. Yellowman is incredible, you get lost in it that way.

This album is actually the most thematically intense lean project by far. Knowing the context before the album release is insane. He was having severe psychotic episodes which reached its peak in the wake of his dead manager/close friend. Stranger has a special place in my heart because the parallels between my life and leans life at the time.
