I have done some engraving on canvas bags. It works really well! So you can add canvas clothing to the list. I used 30% power (M1 with 20W module) at 125 mm/s that turned out really well. Another tip I found on youtube when engraving fabrics: use high strength magnets along the edges to keep the material pulled tight onto the wooden board. (You do need to insert the honeycomb base, the standard aluminum base plate is not magnetic of course)
So cotton is a natural fiber that burns easily, so it makes sense it failed. Nylon is synthetic and plastic, so it melted naturally. Denim is... funny, it's both a color and a weave, but it's natural, I think it's dying process and thickness saves it. Suade and leather are both animal hide, so they won't burn. They just color. Hope this helps?
That one is suede! Of course, the engraving results won't be as extraordinary as on wood or other laserable materials, we were just trying to do some experiments for our users :)
It's cute that you lasered fabrics, but refused to show how they look after 1, 5, and 10 washings/cleanings. Just like everyone else who makes videos about lasering cloth/fabrics...
Super cool, thanks for making this video Kai!
Thank you for your support!

Wow you're a pro, Michel! Yeah high strength magnets are good for keeping the materials stable!
You said that cotton failed, how did you do the shirt you are wearing? Is that some sort of blend?
That one is not cotton, it's made of suede!
So amazing! Laser is really something.
It is!!
So how are the shirts you are wearing made? Laser or vinyl? They look like cotton and cotton fails

Oh sorry I misunderstood, that's probably suade XD
It's suede, not cotton.
So, the tshirts are made of what?
It's suede!
I really liked that cream colored jacket. The engraving came out really nicely. Can you share the jacket vendor please? My M1 Ultra is standing by.
Where can I get the array you created. I have XTool M1

You have a Tee on only you say cotton failed. How did that work?
That one is suede!
Can we do this with the P2
Can give it a go!
Can you do this with a p2? If you try to do this with a D1 pro what happens?
We haven't tried it out yet, can give it a go!

Not certain what your standards were for the test, but success what marginal at best on fabrics that you claim success.

Why haven’t you engraved fleece jackets?
Could try! But it probably won't work. Have you tried?

It can be washed many times, and you can try out yourself :)
Other people that have actually tried this say otherwise.
@@thi_avatar69420 right, yeah we were just experimenting.
