We miss you weye!!
OMG i love this. ive listened to piglet alot i never thought a band would make a song for them
check out "Escher - We also miss you Piglet"
Still love listing to weye. Wish they kept going
❤😭 man I love piglet. They’ve been a constant for me since the early 2000’s. They’re one of those bands that if you bring up in conversation and the person knows who they are….they’re your peoples. And also turned countless people with good music taste on to them. Piglet, explosions in the sky and sometimes Don cab will forever be a natural reaction for me to put on when I find myself driving through a scenic place on a beautiful day as background vibes. Beach days as well. Forever live Lava Land
Escher also misses Piglet
@fourmations good question. weye does not use a compressor in either the guitar or bass rigs. the real secret is just to develop a crushing right hand. there are 11 gauge strings on the prs in the video, so they are a little more resonant, which helps as well.
lava land was so sick. you guys are also rad.
Haha I love Weye so much xD the drummer is always so "wired in" hahaha his faces are awesome.
siiiiiiick--that main, major tap riff in the first part at 0:46 is just awesome
have anyone noticed that the drumer looks kinda like crazy steve??
This is still great
Fantastic. Bravo!
Sounds awesome guys!
Great stuff right here
this music makes me happy
great. thx for sharing
this is an amazing arangement. and the fact that it sounds so fucking good live just goes to show what great musicians you guys are
This is a jam. The drummer is so intense. I love it.
so fucking good!!
Thank you
this is epic. good work.
This is killer!
Kevin, I hope you see this. Hope you’re still making music friend. Years later I’m still jamming these songs. 🐵👍🏽
Glad Crazy Steve discovered his passion for drums.
Wow!
They're one of the many instrumental/post-rock bands I listen to that use the polyphonic tapping technique (like Minus The Bear, This Town Needs Guns, and a bunch of other acts).
Just stumbled across this today...good shit
this song is gas!!!
Good shit man
heavenly
wow super impressed, and man piglet is a prime math rock group, if that is the reference here. but totally dig it guys, please do keep it up!
this band needs to do more....
This is awesome, I miss piglet
I miss piglet too and this song is fantastiiiiic
we miss you piglet a lot
i would love the tab for this!!!! your sound is awesome guys keep up the good work
Nice. Very Piglet-esque, I'd listen to it.
Speeding up that one loop was a genius idea. This is definitely a tune to dance to! Would Pele and Michael Manring be part of your guys' influences btw? Just curious :) Because those tapping riffs are mad crazy!
1:57 best drumming face ever?
nah, search "8 days of nothing live " on youtube and youll see a great drumming face
We played a show with thee guys and Sioum once..... that was a good show.
I miss Weye
funky.
😍
me too amigo
Wow, so glad you guys are caring the fire! Your sound reminds me of my old band! RUclips, "dickswingin kids Dec 09".
Bass player is a monster
I love the faces the drummer makes hahaha
@GregsGuitarLessons cheers, thanks for the reply, i should have asked but i assume humbuckers are the way to go, my options are a jazzmaster with good novak pickups, an old HSH shredder, a cheapo tele copy, a humbucker 355 copy and an epi les paul, maybe the hollow body will have most resonance? cheers
he was using a jcm900 4500 into an orange 2x12.
this is insane... ... ...!
1960s Avedis Zildjian. Type in avedis hats. They have the 1960's 14s and 13s on ebay right now.
cracking stuff! quick question if you dont mind....i was wondering what the best setup for tapping is, heavy or light strings? do you use compressors? any tip or tricks? my taps are way quieter than my picking but i suppose thats always the case, do you use any tricks when going from taps to pick to keep even volumes or just go light on the pick? many thanks
For all the piglet fans out there, check out their recent Kickstarter on their Facebook page!
i miss piglet
@escapethefate700 Loop pedals are sweet though, whether it be just to lay down some rhythm tracks to improvise over or create some intense polyphonic shit
Why is Amon Tobin - dream sequence related to this?
As they should.
And also, what do you guys mess around in more often - Standard tuning or alternative?
@thelancemanL Don't think he/she was insinuating there is anything wrong with loop pedals
Are you sure, I can't find them online
@emoboi86 Weye.
are these the guys from piglet? I can't tell from the one live video that exists online.
either way, excellent.
no
@emoboi86 weye. they miss piglet. a lot.
I really want to know what this bass is
You know it's a good song when the bassist starts tapping! haha
What kind of looper is he using?
thanks, who is pele?
It's not the Shoes!
what amp does the guitar player run through?
Sick tight, bobo
What kind of loop station is that?
Logan Kramer line6 m13 (same functionality as the DL4)
Shave your side burns you hippy. (good song)
60's zildjan's.
Drop C
they are zildjan hi hats from the 1960's.
i assume they are in the A family.
Somehow, this was really strange...but bruh, amazing

Dillinger Plan Yeeeey! o/
Piglet :,(
@escapethefate700 Whats wrong with loop pedals? I think it takes more skill than most bands have to record something spot on, then play something else over top of it tastefully.
i dont think theres a band like this where the guitar player doesnt own a loop pedal
What kind of hi hat is that?
proud to be the 666th like
piglet we miss you
Look at that face haha but props to the drummer
drummer kinda looks like Keanu Reeves
😐
Somebody give that drummer a hand, he's having a hard time.
drummer does look like he's a tough time, but he didnt miss a fuckin beat. siick.
Great stuff right here
