“The Atholl Highlanders” Jig - Michael Kelly, fiddle

- Michael Kelly performs “The Atholl Highlanders” Jig. This traditional tune is in the key of A Major. However, as explained at the beginning of the video, we’ve taken to performing a “Goth” version in some of our Southern California trad sessions, hosted by Michael Kelly. The “Goth” version is the same melody, only played in A minor. It makes for an interesting contrast and a fun twist on a traditional tune. Recorded by Michael Kelly on March 10th, 2018 at The Original Patsy’s Irish Pub (28971 Golden Lantern #108, Laguna Niguel, CA USA 92677). All rights reserved.
