***** OK - listening more carefully I may have been a bit unfair - it is quite a tight set as you say. What I was trying to get over is that technically they aren't really in the top rank compared to the best native musicians, but they are still huge fun - much more enjoyable than many cleaner, more technical bands.
+Tullochgorum A lot of the traditional music in Scotland is taught very seriously and performed at competitions where you can be a young winner or a looser and be pushed into how others think you should play the dots - but - IMHO when musicians play as they feel and put their own character stamp on the music and people feel connected then we get real music as we have here. Music should never be a competition or strictly played listen to any great folk musician from any culture how they push and pull their music. Great band and very entertaining
RAPALJE Celtic Folk Music Yes, but the fiddler is the worst offender. I appreciate your good humor and I understand the difference between music and entertainment. This may be entertaining, but it is not good music...it's jst for show.
@@ozwzrd YOU'RE TOTALLY CORRECT ! Fiddler is playing slightly flat, and he's not helped at all by that bodhran player's off-beat foot stamping - then it goes a little to putty ... BUT ... in fairness, it's a live gig. so anything can get cocked up a little. I've seen and heard worse.
